1.Long no-coding RNAs and prostate cancer
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(2):199-203
Long non-coding RNAs ( lncRNAs) are a class of RNA molecules which are unable to codify proteins. They express abnormally in tumor cells including prostate cancer cells and play a significant role in development of tumor. Some lncRNAs have been proven to affect physiological processes of prostate cells and act as tumor suppressor or activator and could be regulated through several methods. Thus, lncRNAs have the potential to be therapeutic targets of prostate cancer. This review introduces expressed abnormally ln-cRNAs in prostate cancer and their functions and mechanisms in prostate cancer.
2.Measurement of patella height and advance of patella alta
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(20):3269-3274
BACKGROUND:With the development of sports medicine and research of patel ofemoral disorder, patel a alta has been paid increasing attention as the exact pathogenesis of patel ofemoral disorder. There are many radiographic measurement indexes of patel a alta. A large number of clinicians and radiography physicians are trying to diagnose and treat this disease as early as possible.
OBJECTIVE:To review the radiographic measurement and research progress of patel a alta, find out the advantages and disadvantages of different indexes, and look into the future development prospects.
METHODS:A computer-based online search of Pubmed and CNKI databases between 1989 and 2013 was performed for articles addressing radiographic diagnose and measurement patel a alta. The key words were“patel a alta, patel a height, measurement, diagnosis”in English and“patel a alta, patel a height, patel a position, diagnosis, measurement”in Chinese.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Now there are many measurement indexes of patel a alta and they are divided into two groups:indirect index and direct index. The indirect index measures the relative location of patel a and tibia, such as Insal-Salvat index, Blackburne-Peel index, and Caton-Deschamps index. The direct index measures the relative location of patel a and femur, such as patel otrochlear index, and patel ophyseal index. The latest study indicates that the biomechanics of patel ofemoral joint is the key to understand the pathogenesis of patel ofemoral disorder. As the MRI technique develops, direct index for the location of articular cartilage of patel ofemoral joint, such as patel otrochlear index, seems to be the best measurement to patel a alta. However we stil have many problems in the study of patel otrochlear index.

Objective To investigate the effect of the serum obtained from rat with hepatopuimonary syndrome (HPS) on Akt mRNA and protein expression in rat pulmonary microvascular endotheliai cells (PMVECs) and the role of Akt signaling pathway in the proliferation of PMVECs in the HPS. Methods Healthy 3-4-month-old SD rats of both sexes were used in this study. HPS was produced by chronic ligation of common bile duct according to the method described by Fallon. liver cirrhosis and pulmonary microvascular proliferation were verified by microscopic examination of the liver and lung tissue 2 weeks after bile duct ligation. Serum was obtained from blood taken from aorta of HPS rats. Primary PMVECs were cultured and randomly divided into 2 groups: control group and HPS group. In HPS group serum was added to cultured PMVECs (final concentration was 10%) and incubated. Akt mRNA and protein expression was determined at 24, 48 and 72 h of incubation by RT-PCR and Western blot. The proliferation of PMVECs was detected by MTT and ~3H-TdR. Results The proliferation of PMVECs was significantly enhanced and the expression of Akt mRNA and protein was significantly increased in HPS group as compared with control group. Conclusion The Akt signaling pathway might play an important role in proliferation of PMVECs in the HPS.

Objective To investigate the curative effect of Candesartan on chronic systolic heart failure in Tibetan pla?teau. Methods A total of 526 patients with chronic systolic heart failure were divided into two groups randomly (Treatment group N=252;Control group N=274). Regular medicines, such as cardiac, diuretic and vasodilator drugs , are given to pa?tients in both groups according to their primary underlined diseases. Additionally, enalapril is added in control group, while candesartan is added in treatment group. Improvement of cardiac function, LVEF, LVEDD and blood pressure were compared between these two groups after 8 weeks. Results There was no significant difference in effective rate (i.e., 45.2%in treat?ment group and 44.9% in control group, respectively), efficiency rate (i.e. 54.8% in treatment group and 55.1% in control group, respectively) and inefficiency rate (i.e. 2.0%in treatment group and 2.2%in control group, respectively) between treat?ment and control groups . After treatment, LVEF in the two groups are all improved, while LVEDD and blood pressure both de?creased with statistical significance. However, the difference between the two groups is not significant. Conclusion No sta?tistical difference was found in curative effect on chronic systolic heart failure in Tibetan Plateau between two groups.

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between liver stiffness and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) risk in chronic heptatitis B patients with negative α-fetoprotein (AFP) tests. MethodsFrom September 2012 to August 2014, this study enrolled a total of 82 HBV-relative native HCC patients as the case group. During the same period, a total of 253 chronic hepatitis B patients were also include in this study as the control group. These 253 patients were followed up for six months. All of the two groups were AFP-negative. Liver stiffness was measured in all patients by transient elastography device Fibroscan?. Logistic regression was applied to assess the risk of HCC incidence, and stratum-specific likelihood ratios (SSLR) was calculated.ResultsThe age, liver stiffness measurements and plasma albumin of patients in case group were 53 years old (44-61), 12.00 kPa (7.50-20.75), 43.14 g/L (39.50-46.75) respectively. The age, liver stiffness measurements and plasma albumin of patients in control group were 45 years old (38-56), 8.40 kPa (5.40-13.50), 46.40 g/L (43.75-48.50) respectively. The variables were compared between two groups with unpaired studentt test, and the results were statistically significant (t=4.33, 3.56,
-4.48,P=0.00, 0.00, 0.00). The patients in case group were older, and had higher liver stiffness measurements and lower plasma albumin than that of the patients in control group. Logistic regression analysis showed that HCC incidence was associated with age,male-gender and liver stiffness, and the odds ratios (OR) was 1.053, 2.432, 6.803 respectively. When liver stiffness was<10 kPa, 10.1-15 kPa, 15.1-25 kPa,>25 kPa, SSLR for HCC presence was 0.67, 1.02,1.44, 3.98 respectively.ConclusionsLiver stiffness measured by transient elastography is useful in predicting the risk of HCC incidence in AFP-negative chronic heptatitis B patients. Clinicians needed to carry out close follow-up and appropriate intervention for these patients.
