Thus it may provide a new way of diagonosis and treating for dieases such as cancer by investigating on the structure and function and r egulational mechanism of MCT.

Objective　To study the effect of transfecting anti-sense expression vector of the first subtype of the monocarboxylate transporter (MCT1) gene into human lung adenocarcinoma cells on intracellular pH (pHi) regulation, lactate transportation and cell growth. Methods　MCT1 antisense gene recombinant vector pLXSN-MCT1 was introduced into human lung cancer cells A549 with electroporation. The cell colonies resistant to G418 were selected. Positive clones were examined by PCR to confirm the integration of genomic A549 DNA and antisene MCT1 gene. The changes of pHi and lactate transportation were detected with spectrophotometry. Cell growth was studied with cell growth curve. Results　pHi and lactate transport were remarkably decreased in the transfected cells, and the cell growth was inhibited compared with the cells without transfection（P<0.001）. Conclusion　MCT1 gene may play an important role in pHi regulation, lactate transport and cell growth in lung tumor cells.

Objective To assess the clinical efficacy and safety of 1% benadryl and 3 % metronidazle cream in the treatment of topical corticosteroid dependent dermatitis. Methods The study was conducted in a single-blind way. The 86 patients were divided into 3 groups: 1% benadryl and 3 %metronidazle cream (group A), loratadine (group B) and gluco-corticoids (group C). All preparations were applied twice daily for 8 weeks. Study visits took place at baseline and weeks 2, 4 and 8. Results The clinical response rate in the groups A, B and C was 86.20%, 73.33%, and 66.67%, respectively; the clinical response rate in group A was significantly higher than that in groups B and C (P<0.05). Conclusions 1% benadryl and 3 % metronidazle cream are effective and safe in the treatment of topical torticosteroid dependent dermatitis.

To explore the self-organization robustness of the biological neural network, and thus to provide new ideas and methods for the electromagnetic bionic protection, we studied both the information transmission mechanism of neural network and spike timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) mechanism, and then investigated the relationship between synaptic plastic and adaptive characteristic of biology. Then a feedforward neural network with the Izhikevich model and the STDP mechanism was constructed, and the adaptive robust capacity of the network was analyzed. Simulation results showed that the neural network based on STDP mechanism had good rubustness capacity, and this characteristics is closely related to the STDP mechanisms. Based on this simulation work, the cell circuit with neurons and synaptic circuit which can simulate the information processing mechanisms of biological nervous system will be further built, then the electronic circuits with adaptive robustness will be designed based on the cell circuit.

Objective To investigate the role of human herpesvirus type 7 (HHV-7) in the development of drug eruptions.Methods Venous blood samples were collected from 35 patients with mild drug eruptions at acute stage,15 patients with severe drug eruptions at both acute stage and remission stage,as well as 50 healthy human controls.PCR was performed to detect HHV-7 DNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs),and enzymelinked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to determine the titer of anti-HHV-7 IgM antibody in serum.Statistical analysis was carried out by t test,one way analysis of variance,Chi-square test and q test.Results The detection rate of HHV-7 DNA was significantly higher in these patients with drug eruptions than in the healthy controls (82.00％ (41/50) vs.62.00％ (31/50),x2 =4.96,P ＜ 0.05),different among patients with severe drug eruptions (93.33％ (14/15)),patients with mild drug eruptions (77.14％ (27/35)) and the healthy controls (x2 =6.32,P ＜ 0.05),higher in the patients with severe drug eruptions than in the healthy controls (q =3.50,P ＜ 0.05),but not significantly different between the patients with severe drug eruptions at acute stage and those at remission stage (73.33％(11/15),P ＞ 0.05).The anti-HHV-7 IgM antibody titer was significantly increased in the patients with drug eruptions compared with the healthy controls ((69.319 0 ± 25.289 7) ng/L vs.(59.785 3 ± 22.438 2) ng/L,t =1.99,P ＜ 0.05),but no significant difference was observed among the patients with severe drug eruptions (74.340 7 ±31.411 2) ng/L),patients with mild drug eruptions ((65.479 1 ± 21.326 1) ng/L) and healthy controls (P ＞ 0.05) or between HHV-7 DNA-positive patients ((63.748 1 ± 27.239 1) ng/L) and-negative patients ((65.580 2 ± 36.258 4) ng/L,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Active HHV-7 infection exists in patients with drug eruptions,and may be associated with the development and aggravation of this entity.

Objective To investigate the relation among the results of thyroid fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC),thyroid ultrasonography(US)and histopathologic diagnosis about the thyroid nodules detected by physical examination,meanwhile to analyze the etiopathogenesis of the nodtries and to evaluate the risk of thyroid cancer and the clinical diagnostic value of FNAC.Methods The data of thyroid FNAC results of the thyrroid nodules detected by physical examination in 271 cases were analyzed and compared with thyroid US and histopathologie diagnosis.Resuit (1)The FNAC results showed that the incidences of malignant and suspected mali-gnant lesions were 1.48%and 5.90%respectively.The rate of benign lesions was 78.60%and that of goiter was 29.15%,Hashimoto's thyroiditis 26.57%and thyroid adenoma 15.13%.Benign lesions were more common than malignant ones.(2)Comparison of the FNAC and US results of the thyroid nodules showed that of 96 cases with single nodule the rates of malignancy and suspected malignancy were 3.12%and 7.29%,but of 137 cases with multiple nodules the rates of the two lesions were 0.73%and 6.57%.In 108 cases with smaller nodules(≤1.5 cm)the rate of malignancy and suspected malignaney found with FNAC were 0.93%and 7.41%,while in 125 cases with greater nodules (＞1.5 cm)the rate of the two lesions were 2.40%and 6.42%.In 99 solid nodules the rates of malignancy and suspected malignancy were 2.02%and 12.12%,while in 85 cystic or mixed nodules the rates of the two lesions were 2.35%and 2.35%.In the above-mentioned three groups,only the suspected malignaney rate in solid nodules was higher than these in cystic or mixed ones with significant difference (P=0.013).(3)As compared with the cytological and histological diagnoses in 24 cases,the diagnostic accuracy of FNAC was 75.00%and the rates of false positive and false negative were 25.00%and 0,respectively.Conclusions The common causes of the thyroid nodules detected in physieal examination are goiter,Hashimoto's thyroiditis and thyroid adenoma.FNAC is a reliable method to define the benign or malignant nature of thyroid nodules with a high diagnostic accuracy.US features of the nodule alone,no matter it is single,solid or of greater size do not sufficiently increase the incidence of thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the application of multiple locus variable number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA, 15-locus set)for genotyping of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) strains of Beijing genotype. Methods Total 72 Beijing genotype MTB strains obtained from Beijing Thoracic Hospital were genotyped by MLVA (15-locus set). The results were compared with that generated from "gold standard"IS6110-RFLP. Results After genotyped by MLVA ( 15-locus set), 72 strains were grouped into 59 types,of which 53 were unique types. The Hunter-Gaston index (HGI) of MLVA ( 15-locus set) was 0.990. The loci QUB-11b, Mtub 21 and QUB-26 were polymorphic in selected Beijing genotype strains. Genotyping by IS6110-RFLP generated 69 types, of which 66 were unique types. The HGI of IS6110-RFLP was up to 0.999, and the MLVA (15-locus set) clustered strains could be further subdivided. Conclusion MLVA(15-locus set) showed better discriminatory ability in Beijing genotype MTB strains, though secondary typing of clustered strains by IS6110-RFLP is needed.

Objective To explore the relationship between visuospatial abilities of the students ma-jor in air traffic management and their performances,and then provide theories of their vocational classified. Methods 104 healthy male college students were tested by the cognitive laterality battery (CLB),which included visuospatial tests and verbal-sequential tests.At the same time,their performances assessed by air traffic management stimulators.Results Subjects with higher scores achieved by operating on air traffic management stimulators have higher visuospatial abilities,which was confirmed by the visual spatial scores (A) ((0.183±0.094) vs (0.060±0.338), t=41.57, P=0.000) and cognitive laterality quotient (CLQ) ((0.087±0.108) vs (-0.096±0.101), t=43.14, P=0.000)).However,compared with others in lower scores group,their scores on the phonological tests (P) reduced ((0.096±0.081) vs (0.157±0.092), t=6.81, P=0.012) ) .Moreover,there were the significant positive correlation between their performance on air traffic management stimulators and A ( r=0.749, P<0.01) ,CLQ ( r=0.663, P<0.01) ,cognitive performance quotient (CPQ) ( r=0.394, P<0.01).Conclusion For air traffic management occupation,the higher visual spatial abilities were the base of having the higher performance.Thus the visuospatial abilities may be as a good index of selecting and vocational classified for air traffic management students.
