Objective To investigate the subjective well-being and its influencing factors of the advanced elderly in the community. Methods Totally 409 cases aged 80 years and over in five communities of Hang zhou city were surveyed using Memorial University of Newfoundland Subjective Well-bing Scale. Results The subjective well-being of the advanced age people was at a high level.The cases with good hearing,well eyesight,income from own source,monthly income between 1000-3000 yuan,health satisfaction and frequently or occasionally regular interest in the activities had higher subjective well-being(all P＜0.05).Subjective well-being was not significantly affected by age,sex,level of education (P＞ 0.05). Conclusions Subjective well-being of aged people is mainly affected by state of health and economic resources.

As the largest protective barrier of the body,gastrointestinal tract helps the organism resist the invasion and attacks of harmful substances from the outside world.There are three kinds of protective barriers:mechanical barrier,biotical barrier,and immune barrier.In recent years,increasing researches indicate the importance of gastrointestinal immune barrier and the important immunologic mechanism of enteral nutrition in improving the clinical outcome.This article reviews the effect of gut immunity in the improvement of clinical outcome by enteral nutrition.

Objective:To study the effect of notoginsenoside-Rg 1 on immunoinflammatory injury in rat model of Parkinson′s disease.Methods:The rat model of Parkinson′s disease was established and treated with notoginsenoside-Rg 1 by injecting in the striatum.The change of rotational behavior,levels cytokines in striatum and splenocyte proliferation were measured.Results:After treatment with notoginsenoside-Rg 1 the rotational behavior and levels of TNF-?,IL-1?,IL-6 were decreased.The splenocyte proliferation was increased.Conclusion:Notoginsenoside-Rg 1 can regulate the immunological function and reduce the pathological injury to dopaminergic neuron caused by immunoinflammatory reaction.

irAII was translated by SHR and WKA rat spleen lymphocyte and thymocyte RNA in wheat germ free synthesizing system. The translation efficency of irAII at the most proper concentration of SHR immune cell RNA is higher than that of WKA rat immune cell RNA. the result also showed that irAII translation was increased in the rat spleen lymphocytes stimulated by concanavalin A (ConA). Furthermore, irAII, irAI and renin-like were translated by MLA-144 cell (T lymphosarcoma cell) poly (A) RNA in cell free translation system from wheat germ. The results proved that the immune cells of rats produce irAII in a constitutive or inducible fashion for the first time.

Abstract Objective:To study the expression and its biologic specification of the Ku80 gene molecular cloning.Methods: Constructingrecombinant sense or antisense Ku80 expression vectors (Ku80/pCAGGS) and transferring into LCA .Those Ku80 mRNA and protein were de-teited in the Ku80s-LCA, Ku80as-LCA and by Northern-blotting and or Western-blotting.Results: Those Ku80 mRNA were detected in the Ku80s-LCA and Ku80as-LCA by Northern-blotting. Only the sense Ku80 protein was defected in the Ku80s-LCA , but wasn' t detected in the Ku80as-LCA by Western-blotting.Conclusion:The sense or antisense Ku80 were not only transferred in to LCA ,but also expressed in the mR-NA . Only the sense Ku80 protein was expressed in the Ku80s-LCA , but wasn' t expressed in the Ku80as-LCA . The Ku80 is a candidate tar-get for cancer gene therapy.

OBJECTIVE To analyze the traits and the related factors of the injured patients who had hospitalized in ICU in order to make the corresponding strategies and decrease the incidence of hospital infection effectively. METHODS The hospital infection and the associated factors of 384 cases in ICU from Jan 2006 to Dec 2007,including the patients age,injuried severity,interventional manipulation,emergency operation before or after admission to ICU,the length of stay in ICU and the use of tranquillizer were investigated. RESULTS Of 384 cases,156 cases occurred in patients with nosocomial infection,with the infection rate 40.6%,infection site or respiratory tract was accounted for 63.3%,followed by urinary tract,skin and soft tissue.Gram-negative bacteria,were accounted for 71.7%,followed by Gram-positive cocci(15.2%) and fungi(13.1%),the severe level of diseases,interventional manipulation,emergency operation,the use of tranquillizer,the length of stay in ICU were related to the hospital infection. CONCLUSIONS The key measures to preventing hospital infection are strengthening the care of the injured patients before admission to ICU,establishing the nursing regulations of the interventional manipulation,performing sterile manipulation strictly,and enhancing the monitoring and administration about environment to control the cross-infection.

Ovbective To study the perioperative changes in neurohormonal factors and hemodynamics in rheumatic valve disease. Methods Method: The neurohormaonal factors, including catecholamine (CA), angiotesin II (AGII), aldosterone (ALD), atrial natriuretic factor (ANP) and hemodynamics were studies in twenty-four patients with rheumatic valve disease (RVD). 7 congenital heart disease (CHD) as the control group. Results Plasma CA, AGII, ALD and ANP were higher preoperatively in RVD groups than that in CHD group, and significantly rose during cardiopulmonary bypass in RVD groups. Conclusion There is a hyperaldosteronism in patients with mitral valve disease during perioperative period. The high systemic resistance is closely related to significantly high levels of plasma NA and AGII during operation and in the early stage after operation. In patients with mitral valve disease and pulmonary hypertension, most of pulmonary pressure and resistance decrease in the early stage after operation.

Objective To investigate whether the geometry of the left heart and the diastolic function of left ventricle change in patients with essential hypertension but without left ventricular remodeling. Methods Echocardiography was performed in consecutive male patients above 35 years old and without valvular heart disease, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy or other diseases that may have effect on the heart structure. The thickness of intra-ventricular septum(IVST) and left ventricular posterior wall (LVPWT), the end-diastolic diameter of the left ventricle(LVEDD), left atrial anterior-posterior(LAAPD), long (LALD) and cross-sectional diameters(LACD) and area(LAA), early diastolic peak velocity(EPV) and atrial contraction peak velocity(APV) of the mitral valve flow were measured. EPV/APV ratio, left ventricular mass index(LVMI), relative wall thickness(RWT) were calculated. Patients with LVMI≥131g/m 2 and/or RWT≥0 44 were excluded from this study. The remaining patients were divided into 2 groups: the patients with essential hypertension were included in the no-remodeling group(group NR), while the patients without essential hypertention entered the normal control group (group NC). Student test was used to compare the variables between the two groups. Results There were 146 cases in group NC and 156 in group NR.
