[Objective] To sum up researches on components, pharmacological actions and toxicity of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb(Heshouwu). [Method] The research reference about Heshouwu in CNKI, VIP and PUBMAD database is col ected and calssified to three aspects on components, pharmacological actions and toxicity.[Result]①On components:Heshouwu contains stilbene, lecithin, anthraquinone, flavonoids, tannin and trace elements. The stilbene and anthraquinone are the mainly active components. Producing area, growth years, harvest time and processing methods are factors affecting the content of the components such as TSG in Heshouwu; Macroporous adsorption resin is the main separation method for preconcentration of TSG and anthraquinone constituents; ② On pharmacological actions and toxicity: Heshouwu has effects of hypolipidemic and liver protection, antioxidative, anti-osteoporosi, hpyerglycemic, antidepressive and antibiosis, the hypolipidemic and liver protection are the main effects which have been studied more. A reversible liver injury which displays as abnormal liver function parameter and bile metabolic disorder would be induced if the Heshouwu is administrated with a large dosage for long term. The possible components which would induce the toxicity in Heshouwu are tannin and anthraquinone, and the anthraquinone is the component with double effects of toxicity and therapy which should be considered in clinical application. [Conclusion]Reducing lipid and protecting liver is the main pharmaceutical function of the herb. As a commonly used Chinese herb for liver protection, the studies on alcoholic hepatic injury protection of Heshouwu may be a point for the researchers to focus on. The comparison studies on hypolipidemic and liver protection between Hesouwu and its processing products, and the correlations between components and pharmacological actions are worth study further.

[Objective] To study the analgesic, anti-diarrhea and anti-inflammatory effects of Wulian compound extract. [Method] To study the analgesic effect of Wulian compound extract on mice with hot-plate test, writhing test, and formaldehyde stimulation. To study the anti-inflammatory effect of Wulian compound extract by mice ear-swol en induced by xylene and abdominal cavity capil ary Permeability text .To study the anti-diarrhea effect of the Wulian compound extract with the method of diarrhea induced by castor oil and senna. [Results] Wulian compound extract can inhibit the pain caused by high fever, acetic acid and formaldehyde. Inhibit the xylene induced ear swel ing of mice and increase of celiac capil ary permeability induced by acetic acid. At the same time Wulian compound extract can prolong diarrhea latency induced by the senna and castor oil, reduce the frequency of diarrhea. [Conclusion]Compound Wulian extracts have significant antidiarrheal effect, anti-inflammatory, analgesic.

[Objective] To study synergistic effect and decreasing toxicity of Sarcandra Glabra essential oils (SGE) on H22 and S180 bearing mice treated with cytoxan (CTX).[Method] Transplanting H22 and S180 mice tumor models were established to observe the tumor inhibiting rate when SGE was used in combination with CTX by two different routes of administration.While the inhibition effects of SGE in decreasing blood platelet,leukocyte and hemoglobin induced by CTX were also detected.[Result] SGE has anti-tumor and synergy effect when combined with CTX on H22 and S180 bearing mice.The H22 and S180 tumor inhibiting rates of CTX (10mg?kg-1 or 15mg?kg-1) combined with SGE (36.6mg?kg-1) by iv.were increased compared with using CTX alone (P

[Objective] To observe the effects of different fractions from Cortex Eucommiae on oxidation resistance and anti-despondent of Extradiol-induced kidney-yang deficiency mice,and understand the modern scientific connotation of the properties theories about sweet-flavor,warm-nature,meridian tropism in liver and kidney.[Methods] Healthy adult male ICR mice were divided into six groups randomly:normal control group,model control group,positive control group(Guifudihuang),three groups of Cortex Eucommiae(water fraction,n-butanol fraction,and acetoacetate fraction).Kidney-yang deficiency mice model was established with intraperitoneal injection of estradiol benzoate.The determined indexes included oxidation resistance indexes(activity of SOD,GSH-Px,CAT,content of MDA),anti-despondent indexes(tail suspension,activity of MAO),and anti-fatigue ability.[Results] Oxidation resistance indexes:Three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could decrease content of MDA,enhance activeness of SOD.The water and n-butanol fraction could enhance activeness of CAT.The water and acetoacetate fraction could enhance activeness of GSH-Px.Anti-despondent indexes:The acetoacetate fraction of Cortex Eucommiae could lengthen the activity time in tail suspension test,and three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could decrease activeness of MAO.Three fractions of Cortex Eucommiae all could lengthen the running distance and time.[Conclusion] Cortex Eucommiae could improve aging and depression caused by kidney-yang deficiency.Oxidation resistance and anti-despondent effects could be an important part of the main effective groups about sweet-flavor,warm-nature,meridian tropism in liver and kidney.The effects of water extract and n-butanol extract were closer and stronger,which could be the main substance basis of common effective groups.

[Objective]We established a model of Lung-Yang Deficiency.[Methods]The factors such as smoking(exogenous evil effect on lung),swimming in ice water(cold body and exhaustion),swimming in common water(exhaustion),and taking the methimazole ice solution(immune suppression and inhale cold)were adopted to establish this Lung-Yang Deficiency model.SD rats were treated for 35 days,and their physical signs(diet changes,drinking and other typical symptoms)were observed.The hemorheological parameters of the treated animals were measured.[Results]At the later period,rats in the Lung-Yang Deficiency model showed several symptoms,such as wheeze,breathlessness,meanwhile,accompanied with dullness,drinking less water,chill.Compared with the normal group,the body weight and the back temperature of the treated rats were decreased significantly.The whole blood viscosity(WBV)and whole blood reduced viscosity(WBRV)on the low shear rate were significantly increased from the normal.So was found the rigidity finger,deformed finger and electrophoresis finger of RBC parameters.[Conclusion]This model is fit to the clinical investigation of Lung-Yang Deficiency,resulting in that our method for model establishment is feasible.

[Objective] To determine the contents of imperatorin and isoimperation in Angelicae dahuricae from different sources by HPLC,and prove some scientific evidence for processing standardization and quality control of Angelicae dahuricae decoction pieces.[Methods] An HPLC method was established.XB-C18 column was used,with mixture of acetonitrile and water in a gradient mode.The flow rate was 1.0mL?min-1.[Result] The calibration curve of imperatorin was in good linear over the range of 0.0552～0.276?g with the average assay recovery 99.5%.The calibration curve of isoimperatorin was linear over the range of 0.048～0.24?g with the average assay recovery 98.6% (RSD=1.7%).The contents of imperatorin from different sources in Angelicae dahuricae were between 0.046%～0.145%,isoimperatorin was between 0.038%～0.087%,the total was between 0.084%～0.232%.[Conclusion] This method was proved to be rapid,reproducible and accurate.It is suitable for the quality control of Angelilae dahuricae and its preparation.

[Objective]To investigate the anti-proliferative effects of CEP on HCT116 cells and in mouse xenograft model. [Methods]The in vivo anti-cancer activity of CEP was determined with Xenogen bioluminescence imaging in a xenograft tumor model. The cel-based multiple signaling pathway reporter assays were carried out to determine the effects of CEP on these pathways. [Results] CEP inhibited growth of human cancer cells, the IC 50 was 0.8~11.5 μM. CEP induced cellcycle arrest in S and G2/M phase. CEP also inhibited xenograft tumor growth in athymic nude mice bearing HCT116 cells. The xenograft tumor size was significantly reduced upon the treatment with CEP(10 or 20 mg·kg-1 body weight) for up to 3 weeks. Pathway-spe-cific reporter assays indicated that CEP effectively suppressed the NF-κB and MAPK/ERK signaling pathways. [Conclusions] Our results suggest that the anticancer activity of CEP in colon cancer cells may be mediated through targeting NF-κB and MAPK/ERK signaling pathways.

[Objective] To observe effects of HQSM on CK, LDH and AST activity in serum of acute myocardial ischemia rats caused by injecting pituitrin.[Method] SD rats were divided into several groups at random: normal control group,model control group, three HQSM groups(210mg/kg,150mg/kg,105mg/kg), positive control group(Huangqi Shengmaiyin and Diao Xinxuekang).The rats were treated with respective drugs by ig for 30 days, and pituitrin was injected respectively by caudal vein 1h after administering at the 29th and 30th days.Blood serum was taken out to determinate the activity of CK, LDH and AST at 1h and 24h after the last injection. [Result] The activity of LDH and AST in serum increased at 1h after injecting pituitrin, the activity of CK in serum increased,meanwhile LDH and AST was still higher than normal control group at 24h. [Objective] To observe the effect of HQSM on PGI_2/TXA_2 in blood plasma of acute myocardial ischemia rats caused by injecting pituitrin. [Methods] 84 SD rats were divided into seven groups at random: normal control group,model control group,three HQSM groups(210mg/kg,150mg/kg,105mg/kg),Huangqi Shengmaiyin and DI’ao Xinxuekang. Intragastric administration was adopted once a day for 30 days.Acute myocardial ischemia model rat was established by injecting pituitrin from tail vein 1h after the last administration, and blood plasma was separated to be determined the activity of 6-Keto-PGF_ 1? and TXB_2, which is the metabolite of PGI_2 and TXA_2 in blood plasma of SD rats. [Results] Having been injected pituitrin,the activity of TXB2 upgraded while 6-Keto-PGF_ 1? /TXB_2 decreased(P
