1.Retrieval methods of ancient books on traditional Chinese medicine and their application
Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2017;26(2):75-78
The number of ancient books on traditional Chinese medicine is tremendous, it is thus of great impor-tance to make full use of them for the inheritance and development of the cause of traditional Chinese medicine. Ancient books on traditional Chinese medicine can be retrieved either by using of dictionaries, bibliographies, books arranged according to subjects, monographs, and other nonmedical materials or by using of databases of ancient books on traditional Chinese medicine. Different retrieval methods of ancient books on traditional Chinese medicine and their application were thus described in this paper.

Objective To investigate the possible mechanism of Compounded Sour Medicinal Herbs (CSMH) in preventing and amelioration type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) rats chronic complication, by analyzing the effects of CSMH on the deposition of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and gene expression of their receptor myocardial tissue in T2DM rats. Methods The rats were injected with streptozotocin (STZ) through peritoneum, and fed with high-fat and high-caloric diets to induce T2DM animal models. Then the rats were randomly divided into three groups:untreated group (model group), AG treated group and CSMH treated group. The deposition of AGEs and gene expression of RAGE in the myocardial tissue of T2DM rats were detected separately by fluorescence and real time PCR method. Results The deposition of AGEs and gene expression of their receptor in myocardial tissue in control group were lower than that of T2DM rats (P

Food processing and cooking is very practical, and requires students to master certain knowledge and operational skills of nutrition. Therefore, we introduced the experience teaching design, con-crete experiment, reflective observation, abstract generalization and application, focused on practice-appli-cation-further practice in the teaching process, readjusted and set practical objectives, contents, teaching methods, evaluation, and used questionnaire and interview method to evaluate the teaching effect, which enriched the teaching content of the course and improved the effectiveness of students'!practice learning.

AIM To study the effect of glucocorticoid acetic acid cortisone on expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPAA). METHODS Using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),the expression of CaM mRNA was measured in HPAA of rats which were injected with acetic acid cortisone. RESULTS Acetic acid cortisone induced the expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus and adrenal respectively, but it had no effect significantly in pituitary. CONCLUSION These data suggest that CaM mRNA plays important role in the modulation of GC in HPAA.

AIM To establish an LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous content determination of paeoniflorin, albiflorin, neochlorogenic acid, chlororogenic acid, catechin, epicatechin, ethyl gallate, danshensu, ferulic acid, caffeic acid, gallic acid, protocatechuic acid, protocatechualdehyde and rosmarinic acid in Yangxue Qingnao Granules (Angelicae sinensis Radix,Chuanxiong Rhizoma,Paeoniae Radix Alba,etc.).METHODS The analysis of methanol extract of this drug was performed on a 20 ℃ thermostatic Waters Symmetry Shield RP C18 column (3.9 mm × 150 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of acetonitrile-water (containing 0.1% formic acid) flowing at 0.4 mL/min in a gradient elution manner.RESULTS Fourteen constituents showed good linear relationships within their own ranges, whose average recoveries were 85.5%-107.0% with the RSDs of 2.0%-5.0%.CONCLUSION This simple, sensitive, accurate and reproducible method can be used for the quality control of Yangxue Qingnao Granules.

Objective:To systematically review the life experience of patients after bariatric and metabolic surgery. Methods:We searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Data, and VIP by computer, and included qualitative research on the life experience of patients after bariatric and metabolic surgery. The retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to July 31, 2020. The quality of the included article was assessed using the quality evaluation criteria for qualitative research of the Australian Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center (2017) . Meta-synthesis was performed using a pooled integration approach. Results:A total of 17 articles were included.A total of 38 themes were refined and grouped into 14 categories, resulting in four research results, namely return to normality, negative experience, control, and fear of isolation. Conclusions:The life experience of patients after bariatric surgery is complex and individual, and various experiences interact with each other, not a single existence. It is suggested that medical and nursing staff should pay attention to patients from multiple angles after surgery, establish a multidisciplinary follow-up team and diversified follow-up methods, and solve the multi-level needs of patients.

Objective·To measure the parameters of the uterine artery, umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery in a rat model of preeclampsia(PE)by Doppler ultrasound, and compare the pathological changes in placental blood vessels and pregnancy outcomes,in order to provide an effective method and reference for evaluating placental function in PE animal models.Methods·PE(n=8)and normal pregnancy(NP,n=8)groups in Sprague-Dawley(SD)rat models were established by intraperitoneal injections of N'-nitro-L-arginine methylesterhydrochloride(L-NAME)and 0.9%sodium chloride solution.Blood pressure and proteinuria indexes were detected to evaluate whether the model was successfully established. On gestational day 19(GD19),Doppler ultrasound was utilized to measure the parameters of the uterine artery, umbilical artery and the fetal middle cerebral artery in both the PE and NP groups. After termination of the pregnancies, placental function was evaluated through the pathology of placental blood vessels and the quality of the fetuses and placentas. Results·In the PE group, both blood pressure(GD15:P=0.001;GD19:P=0.001)and proteinuria(GD15:P=0.001;GD19:P=0.001)were significantly higher than those in the NP group. The pulsatility index(PI)of the umbilical artery and uterine artery was notably elevated in the PE group compared to the NP group(both P=0.000).Furthermore,the resistance index(RI)of the fetal middle cerebral artery was significantly lower than that in the PE group(P=0.000).While the number of fetal rats did not differ significantly, the quality of placental and fetal rats was notably lower in the PE group(P=0.006 and P=0.000,respectively).Immunohistochemical staining of placental tissue revealed that the number of placental micro vessel densities in the PE group was less than that in the NP group(P=0.001).Correlation analysis revealed that placental micro vessel density, fetal quality and placental quality were inversely related with the RI of the umbilical artery and the PI and RI of the uterine artery, and positively correlated with the S/D,PI and RI of the fetal middle cerebral artery(all P<0.05).Conculsion·Doppler ultrasound assessment of the uterine artery, umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery indices in L-NAME-induced PE rat models effectively reflects pregnancy outcomes and placental vascular pathology. This method is valuable for evaluating placental vascular perfusion in PE rat models, offering practicality and convenience for research involving animal models.
