Objective: To quantitatively assess the health risk of preservatives from beverages around primary schools in Anshun City, and to provide scientific basis for precise food safety supervision. Methods: From December 2023 to July 2024, 602 beverage samples were randomly collected from within 100 meters of 19 primary schools in Anshun City. The content of benzoic acid, sorbic acid, and dehydroacetic acid was detected according to GB 5009 series standards. Combined with children s physiological parameters (body weight 30 kg, daily intake 0.15 L), the Hazard Quotient (HQ) and Hazard Index (HI) models were used to evaluate health risks. Results: The total detection rate of preservatives from beverages around primary schools was 63.0%, and the total over limit rate was 9.0%. The detection rate of preservatives in flavored beverages was the highest (72.6%), and the highest over limit rate of preservatives in special purpose beverages was the highest (17.2%). The single preservative HQ (benzoic acid up to 0.47 ) and mixed HI (up to 0.55) of all samples were below 1(safety threshold). However, the HQ value of benzoic acid in flavored beverages (0.47) was 2.9 times that of sorbic acid (0.16), contributing significantly to health risk. Sensitivity analysis showed that if the daily consumption increased to 0.3 L, the HI value of flavored beverages would rise to 1.11, exceeding the safety threshold. Enterprise scale analysis showed that the exceedance rate of special purpose beverages in large enterprises reached 30.0%, while micro enterprises, accounting for a dominant market share (52.2%), constituted the main source of children s daily exposure to their products. Conclusions The overall health risk of perservatives in beverages sold near primary schools in Anshun City is controllable, but there is a noticeable risk of gradient. The risk of children’s exposure to preservatives through beverage consumption should not be ignored.

Congenital heart disease（CHD）is a common congenital anomaly that is the leading cause of death among children under the age of five years with birth defects in both developed and developing countries. With the increasing prevalence of CHD，the importance of early diagnosis and intervention of CHD is well accepted. Prenatal ultrasonography is routinely applied for the screening of CHD but many factors influence its diagnostic accuracy. Biomarker testing is a simple and rapid method that can be used as an adjunct to prenatal screening for CHD. This review aims to provide new ideas for the early diagnosis of children with CHD by exploring the pathogenesis of biomarkers in CHD. In recent years，many studies have been devoted to the exploration of biomarkers related to CHD，and the studies on biomarkers in CHD are summarized from three aspects：epigenetics，proteomics and environmental factors.

Objective To observe the changes of short-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCAD) expression on human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) apoptosis and investigate its relationship with apoptosis. Methods The HUVEC was cultured normally for 2-3 days. The apoptotic model of HUVEC was established by tert-butyl hydrogen peroxide (tBHP). The HUVEC was treated by different concentrations of tBHP (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 μmol/L) for 12 hours and different time (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 hours) with 50 μmol/L tBHP to establish the apoptotic model of HUVEC. The cell viability was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT), the mRNA expression of SCAD was determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the protein expression of SCAD was achieved by Western Blot. The best concentrate and time were determined to interfere the HUVEC to achieve the apoptotic model of HUVEC. The SCAD gene of HUVEC was knocked down by RNA interference sequence (siRNA274, siRNA414, siRNA679). The mRNA expression of SCAD, the protein expression of SCAD and the activity of SCAD enzyme were detected to achieve the best RNA interference sequence. The HUVEC was intervened by the best RNA interference sequence and tBHP. The cell activity and apoptosis rate, the enzyme activity of SCAD, the mRNA and protein expression of SCAD, the contents of reactive oxygen species (ROS), aderosine triphosphate (ATP) and free fatty acid (FFA) were detected to observe the effect of SCAD on apoptosis of HUVEC. Results ① The cell viability, the mRNA expression and the protein expression of SCAD were decreased gradually in a concentration and time dependent manner with the increase of tBHP concentration and the prolongation of intervention time. The decline was most significant in the group of the 50 μmol/L tBHP to interfere HUVEC for 12 hours. ② The siRNA679 transfection was the most significant in reducing SCAD mRNA and protein expressions among the three interference sequences (siRNA274, siRNA414, siRNA679). ③ Compare with blank control group, the cell viability was significantly decreased in the siRNA679 group (A value: 0.48±0.09 vs. 1.00±0.09, P < 0.01), the apoptotic rate of HUVEC was significantly increased [(29.96±2.09)% vs. (2.90±1.90)%, P < 0.01], the expression of SCAD mRNA and SCAD protein, the activity of SCAD enzyme and the content of ATP were significantly decreased [SCAD mRNA (2-ΔΔCt): 0.50±0.16 vs. 1.34±0.12, SCAD/α-Tubulin: 0.67±0.11 vs. 1.00±0.06, the activity of SCAD enzyme (kU/g): 0.38±0.04 vs. 0.53±0.04, the content of ATP (μmol/g): 0.14±0.02 vs. 0.19±0.01, all P < 0.05], the contents of FFA and ROS were significantly increased [FFA (nmol/g): 0.84±0.07 vs. 0.47±0.04, ROS (average fluorescence intensity): 647.5±23.7 vs. 434.2±46.5, both P < 0.01]. Meanwhile, SCAD siRNA treatment triggered the same apoptosis as HUVEC treated with tBHP. Conclusions Down-regulation of SCAD may play an important role in HUVEC apoptosis. Increase in the expression of SCAD may become an important part in intervening HUVEC apoptosis.

Objective To investigate correlation between the fear related to childbirth and the social support in pregnant women in order to provide evidence for clinical intervention. Methods A total of 351 pregnant women from 2 hospitals were recruited from July to December, 2014 in city of Guangzhou. They were investigated with the self- designed questionnaire of general conditions measurement, the childbirth Attitudes Questionnaires and the perceived Social Support Scale. Results The total scores of the fear related to childbirth and the social support in pregnant women were 32.29±6.25 and 46.59±7.13, respectively. Scores of the total scale and the factors of the fear related to childbirth and the social support were negatively correlated (r=-0.798--0.134,P < 0.05). Conclusions Negative correlation exists between the fear related to childbirth and the childbirth self-efficacy in pregnant women. To reduce the fear related to childbirth, their families should be encouraged to provide more support for pregnant women.

Peripheral neuropathy induced by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and antiretroviral therapy is not only difficult to distinguish in clinical practice, but also difficult to relieve the pain symptoms by analgesics because of the severity of the disease at the later stage. Hence, to explore the mechanisms of HIV-related neuropathy and find new therapeutic options are particularly important for relieving neuropathic pain symptoms of the patients. In the present study, primary cultured embryonic rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons were used to determine the neurotoxic effects of HIV-gp120 protein and/or antiretroviral drug dideoxycytidine (ddC) and the therapeutic actions of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) on gp120- or ddC-induced neurotoxicity. DRG neurons were exposed to gp120 (500 pmol/L), ddC (50 micromol/L), gp120 (500 pmol/L) plus ddC (50 micromol/L), gp120 (500 pmol/L) plus IGF-1 (20 nmol/L), ddC (50 micromol/L) plus IGF-1 (20 nmol/L), gp120 (500 pmol/L) plus ddC (50 micromol/L) plus IGF-1 (20 nmol/L), respectively, for 72 hours. The results showed that gp120 and/or ddC caused neurotoxicity of primary cultured DRG neurons. Interestingly, the severity of neurotoxicity induced by gp120 and ddC was different in different subpopulation of DRG neurons. gp120 mainly affected large diameter DRG neurons (>25 microm), whereas ddC mainly affected small diameter DRG neurons (< or =25 microm). IGF-1 could reverse the neurotoxicity induced by gp120 and/or ddC on small, but not large, DRG neurons. These data provide new insights in elucidating the pathogenesis of HIV infection- or antiretroviral therapy-related peripheral neuropathy and facilitating the development of novel treatment strategies.

Objective To explore the psychological characteristics of cancer long-term survivors.Methods One hundred and fifty one cancer long-term survivors(survival time ≥5 years) were chosen for participation from Guangzhou and Shenzhen by the coin method in this study.The qualitative data of the patients'psychological characteristics were collected by individual interviews,and the patients'behavioral and psychological characteristics were measured by the Tumor Psychological Scale(TPS),the Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire(CCMQ) and the Psychological Adjustment Scale for Cancer Patients(PASCP).The psychological characteristics of the 151 cancer long-term survivors were compared with the average level of cancer patients (over 557 patients).Quantitive data were analyzed by two independent samples't-test.Results (1) Most cancer long-term survivors knew their diagnosis in two weeks after they were diagnosed.The cancer long-term survivors were better in mentality and got more social supports.Most long-time survivors attributed their success to good psychological well-being and positive treatments.(2) The TPS scores of cancer long-term survivors group(1.99 ± 0.45,1.68 ± 0.51,1.33 ± 0.32,1.87 ± 0.44,1.78 ± 0.41 respectively) were lower than the scores of the average level of cancer patients (3.06 ±2.12,3.08 ± 2.03,2.86 ± 2.08,3.02 ± 2.06,2.98 ± 1.75 respectively) in the dimensions of personality,emotion,unconscious,cognition and the total average score.The differences were significant statistically(P ＜ 0.01).The CCMQ scores of cancer long-term survivors group were higher than the scores of the average level of cancer patients in the dimension of confrontation and catharses.In the dimensions of avoidance and suppression,resignation and fantasy,the scores of cancer long-term survivors group were lower than the scores of the average level of cancer patients.All the differences were significant statistically (P ＜ 0.05).The PASCP scores of cancer long-term survivors group were higher than the scores of the average level of cancer patients in the dimension of emotion/self-esteem,subjective feeling,interpersonal relationship/social life,the daily life and the other.The differences was significant statistically(P＜ 0.001).Conclusion There are common characteristics of cancer long-term survivors such as good mental health state,lower tumor psychological level,positive coping styles,getting better psychological adjustment.

Objective To investigate the effects of proanthocyanidins on depressant-like behaviors and the structure of adrenal gland in chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rats. Methods Rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:control group, stressed group (CUMS + vehicle), three treatment groups (CUMS + proanthocyanidins 25,50,100 mg·kg-1,respectively) ,and imipramine group (CUMS + imipramine 10 mg·kg-1). Used the CUMS model in rats to investigate the effects of chronic oral administration (21 days) of proanthocyanidins and imipramine (ip) on the open-field;and forced swimming and sucrose consumption tests and the ratio of adrenal gland/body weight,and its thickness were examined by HE stain. Results Compared with control group, rats subjected to CUMS exhibited increased ratio of adrenal gland /body weight ( P < 0. 01), less sucrose consumption( P<0.01) and inhibited in the open-field test( P<0.01) as well as more despair time in the forced swimming test( P<0.01). While compared with stressed group,treatments with proanthocyanidins (25,50,100 mg·kg-1, po ,21 days) could significantly improve the activities in open-field test ((39.6±3.4) vs (49±4.5), (52.6±3.7),(54.1±1.8) ;all P<0.01) and sucrose consumption( (5.8±2.5)ml vs (8.1±3.3)ml,(8.5±4.1) ml, (9.2±2.6) ml; P < 0.05, P < 0.05, P < 0.01 respectively); Meanwhile, it could reduce the duration time in forced swimming test significantly( (103.5±10.2)s vs (83.7±8.8)s,(75.8±5.9)s,(67.2±6.5)s; all P<0.01) as well as thickness of the adrenal gland(P<0.05, P<0.01).Conclusions This study suggests that the proanthocyanidins (25,50,100 mg·kg-1) has an antidepressant-like effects in CUMS rats. The antidepressant actions of proanthocyanidins, in some degrees, may be related with the regulation of the adrenal gland's structure.

Objective To discuss effect of fasting and taking food on hemostasis effect of patients with gastric ulcer and bleeding. Methods 160 patients with gastric ulcer and bleeding were divided in-to the experimental group and the control group, the experimental group was allowed to take lower ho-moiothermy water gruel (liquid), the control group was required absolute fasting (not medication), until bleeding stop. The two groups adopted identical treatment and nursing. The lienable stomach tube was placed respectively, everyday pH value monitor and occult blood test were carried out by taking out gas-tric juice when fasting and 2 hours after meals. Continuous monitoring tests continued till occult blood test of gastric liquid became negative for 3 times. Stool was kept for occult blood test, at the same time the gastrointestinal tract symptom and bleeding condition were observed, routine blood test was carried out one every other day. The data underwent statistical analysis with SPSS13.0 statistics software package, compari-son between two groups used t test. Results The inner stomach pH value of the experimental group in-creased obviously, the average pH value and percentage of pH above 4 was evidently higher than those of the control group. The time of occult blood test of gastric liquid and stool turning to negative in the experi-mental group was shorter than those of the control group. Conclusions Taking food can elevate pH of gastric liquid, reduce damage caused by gastric acid to gastric mucosa, thus hasten hemostasis process and promote healing.

Objectives To explore the effects of follow-up health edueation of cardio-vascular patients outside hospital on their compliance with doctor's advices.Methods Eighty cardio-vagcular patients were selected and divided randomly into the control group and the follow-up group with 40 cases in each group.The patients of the control group were siren instmcfons only before leaving hospital while those of the follow-up group received follow-up health education as well as the leaving-hospitsl insuuctions.Investigations were carried out one year after follow-up health education in the two groups' compliance with doctor's advices including their thempeutic changes of lifestyle,re-admittance to hospital and mortality.Results Signitlcant differences were found between the follow-up gtonp and the control group in respect of the pationts' compliance with doctor's advices,re-admittance to hospital and mortality,P＜0.01,P＜0.05.The complialice with doctor's advices in the follow-up group Wag obviously better than that of the control group.Conclusions The follow-up health education can be an effective way for promoting the cardio-vascular patients' compliance with doctor's advice after leaving hospital.

AIM　To study the effect of glucocorticoid acetic acid cortisone on expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPAA). METHODS　Using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),the expression of CaM mRNA was measured in HPAA of rats which were injected with acetic acid cortisone. RESULTS　Acetic acid cortisone induced the expression of CaM mRNA in hypothalamus and adrenal respectively, but it had no effect significantly in pituitary. CONCLUSION　These data suggest that CaM mRNA plays important role in the modulation of GC in HPAA.
