Objective To learn the influence on the outcome of the pregnant by measuring the type Ⅲ antibody of Group B Streptococcus(GBS). Methods During December 31, 1997 to December 31, 2000, 28 pregnant women whose GBS screening were positive were selected as study group while 46 negative as control group. Vaginal swab cultures were conducted in 74 pregnant women at different gestational periods(before 20 gestational weeks, 20~28 weeks and after 34 weeks). After birth maternal and cord blood samples were collected immediately for the test of GBS IgG antibody with ELISA method. Results 28 of 74 women(37.8%)were GBS culture positive in the antenatal screening. The obstetrical complications such as gestational diabetes millitus, impaired glucose tolerance test, fetal growth retardation, premature rupture of membrane, threatened premature labor and asphyxia of newborn have no significant difference between the GBS carrier group and non-carrier group. The result was same for the newborns. The antibody(IgG)of GBS value of the 74 pairs of maternal and cord blood samples showed that the values of IgG in maternal blood samples and cord blood samples were (3.1?2.2) mg/L and (2.3?1.8) mg/L, respectively,r=0.86,P

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum prealbumin (PA) and inflammation in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients. Methods A prospective observational study was conducted. AMI patients hospitalized in the cardiovascular department of the General Hospital of Chinese People's Armed Police Forces from June 2014 to June 2016 were enrolled in the study. At the same time, healthy cases were enrolled as control. Venous blood was taken from patients at admission. Serum PA was detected by immune projection turbidimetry method and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) was measured by latex enhanced immune turbidimetry. High-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT), and interleukin (IL-6, IL-8) was measured by electrochemical luminescence method. Creatine kinase-MB isoenzyme (CK-MB) was detected by rate method. PA, inflammatory factor and myocardial enzyme were compared between two groups. The correlation between PA and inflammatory factors was analyzed by Pearson linear correlation; The diagnostic value of PA was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results 173 AMI patients and 86 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. There were no significant differences in gender, age, history of smoking, hypertension and diabetes. Compared with the control, the levels of serum PA in AMI patients was lower [PA (g/L): 0.215±0.056 vs. 0.280±0.057], hs-CRP, IL-6, IL-8, hs-cTnT and CK-MB were higher [hs-CRP (mg/L): 6.63±3.52 vs. 2.25±1.45, IL-6 (ng/L): 38.03±22.43 vs. 6.13±3.38, IL-8 (ng/L): 295.61±98.70 vs. 17.24±7.31, hs-cTnT (μg/L): 4.789±2.874 vs. 0.009±0.008, CK-MB (U/L): 244.48±165.54 vs. 12.20±5.24], the difference was statistical significant (all P < 0.01). It was shown by Pearson correlation analysis that the levels of PA were negatively related to hs-CRP, IL-6 and IL-8 (r = -0.562, -0.591, -0.548, all P <0.05). The PA level had no correlation with hs-cTnT and CK-MB (r = -0.018, -0.149, both P > 0.05). It was shown by ROC curve analysis that area under ROC curve (AUC) of PA for diagnosis of AMI was 0.783±0.039, and the 95% confidence interval (95%CI) was 0.706-0.860 (P < 0.05). When the cut-off value was 0.190 g/L, the sensitivity was 29.63%, and the specificity was 62.22%. Conclusion PA may be involved in the inflammatory process of AMI and had a diagnostic value for AMI.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
A protease from the culture supernatant of marine bacteria Pseudomonas sp. 7~11 was discovered. One component of the protease was purified to homogeneity by ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis, ion exchange chromatography. The specific activity of the enzyme was raised from 19.46U?mg -1 to 13953115U?mg -1 ,which was 717.02 times that of the culture supernatant with a yield of 1.24%.The molecular mass of purified enzyme was estimated to be 3000Da about by SDS PAGE. The optimum temperature for the activity was observed to be 45℃ using casein as substrate. The optimum pH for activity the enzyme was 8.0 and it was stable between pH6~7 and below 50℃.The activity of the enzyme was inhibited by EDTA and IAA strongly. But was not inhibited by PMSF. the enzyme was inhibited Mn 2+ , Hg 2+ , Fe 2+ , Zn 2+ , Cu 2+ ,Pb 2+ and SDS. The inactivity of the enzyme with EDTA could be recovered partially by Mg 2+ .while Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ and (NH 4) 2SO 4 was activator for the activity of the enzyme. The activity of the enzyme was fairly stable in the presence of ethanol and urea, and was resistant to Tween 20.

OBJECTIVETo summarize the experiences in kidney transplantation for 23 years.
METHODSFrom 1978 to 2001, 2123 kidney transplantations were performed for 2012 patients with end stage renal failure. We analyzed the survival rate of patient/kidney at 1-, 3-, 5 years. The possible factors that could influence the transplantation including general data, donor kidney, surgical technique, immunosuppressants, PRA measurement, HLA-antigen matching, complications were also analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTSIn 423 cases (1978 to 1990), hyper-acute rejection occurred in 9 (2.1%) and acute rejection in 198 (46.8%). The 1-, 3-, and 5 years patient/graft survival rates were 86.7%/76.3%, 72.5%/67.9% and 69.5%/59.3% respectively. In the 1700 cases (1991 to 2001), acute graft rejection occurred in 252 (14.8%) but no hyper-acute rejection was observed. The 1-, 3-, and 5 year patient/graft survival rates were 98.6%/96.7%, 93.1%/87.3% and 88.1%/83.6% respectively.
CONCLUSIONSKidney transplantation is a treatment of choice for patients with end-stage renal failure. Well preoperative preparation is the assurance of a successful transplantation; the high quality of donor's kidney is essential to a successful transplant operation. PRA negative and high grade HLA matching can decrease the ratio of early allograft loss and improve patient/kidney survival rate. Combined medication is also important to prevent rejection and decrease drug toxicity. Low-dosage of CsA with MMF and Pred is the ideal regimen of immunosuppressive therapy.
