1.Economic Evaluation on 6 Therapeutic Schemes for Hepatic Lesion Induced by Chemotherapeutic Drugs

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the economic efficacy of 6 therapeutic schemes for hepatic lesions induced by chemotherapeutic drugs. METHODS: A total of 269 malignant tumor patients complicating hepatic lesion because of using of chemotherapeutic drugs were randomly divided into 6 groups (A, B, C, D, E and F) to be treated with Reduced Glutathione Sodium for Injection, Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate Injection, Compound Glycyrrhizin Injection, Polyene Phosphatidylcholine Injection, Compound Diisopropylamine Dichloroacetate Injection, Compound Ammonium Glycyrrhetate Injection, respectively. The curative effects were recorded and the cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted. RESULTS: In A, B, C, D, E and F groups, the effective rates were 91.67%, 75.00%, 86.05%, 84.78%, 87.50% and 85.42%, respectively, the costs were 798.28 yuan, 311.08 yuan, 859.88 yuan, 918.68 yuan, 1 092.28 yuan and 1 319.08 yuan, respectively, and the cost-effectiveness ratios were: 870.82, 414.77, 999.28, 1 083.60, 1 248.32 and 1 544.23, respectively. The incremental cost-effectiveness ratios for A, C, D, E, F groups as against group B were 2 922.62, 4 966.52, 6 212.68, 6 249.60 and 9 673.70, respectively. CONCLUSION: Group A was proved to be the safe, effective and economical therapeutic scheme for hepatic lesions induced by chemotherapeutic drugs.
2.Ca~(2+)/calmodulin-dependent kinaseⅡare involved in tumor necrosis factor ?-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy in rats

Aim To investigate whether Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase Ⅱ(CaMKⅡ)contribute to tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF-?)-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.Methods The protein content was assayed with Lowry's method.The cardiomyocytes volumes were measured by computer photograph analysis system.The protein synthesis was assayed with[3H]-lencine incorporation method.[Ca2+]i transient was measured by Till image system by cell-loading Fura-2/AM.The expression of CaMKⅡ?B was determined by Western blot.Results ① TNF-? significantly induced the increase of protein content,[3H]-leucine incorporation and cell size;These responses were significantly suppressed by KN93,a selective CaMKⅡ inhibitor.② TNF-? increased the amplitude of the spontaneous Ca2+ transients in cultured ventricular myocytes from the neonatal rat;CaMKⅡ inhibitor KN93 can suppress the elevation induced by TNF-?.③ TNF-? significantly increased the expression of CaMKⅡ?B.Concluslon CaMKⅡ signal pathway are involved in TNF-?-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy in rats.

4.Effects of atorvastatin on apoptosis and cytochrome c expression in perihematoma tissue after intracerebral hemorrhage in rats

Objective To investigate the effect of atorvastatin on cytochrome c (CytC) expression and neuronal apoptosis after intracerebral hemorrhage in rots.Methods A total of 108 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly allocated into 3 groups:sham operation group,saline control group,and atorvastatin group (n =36 each group).All the groups were redivided into 6 h,12 h,day 1,3,5 and 7 time points (n =6 at each time point).An intracerebral hemorrhage model was induced by using a modified two-step injection method.After modeling,atorvastatin was used for gavages (20 rng/kg,once a day) in the atorvastatin group.The saline control group was given the same volume of saline.Behavior evaluation was used for neurological score.TUNEL staining was used to detect apoptosis in perihematoma tissue.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the CytC expression in perihematoma tissue.Results Behavior evaluation showed that the neurological scores decreased gradually with the passage of time in the atorvastatin group and the saline control group.There were no significant differences at 6 h,12 h,day 1 and day 3,but the neurological scores in the atorvastatin group were significantly lower than those in thc saline control group at day 5 (0.50 ± 0.55 vs.1.50 ± 0.55; t =3.162,P =0.010) and day 7 (1.00 ±0.63; t =2.712,P =0.022).TUNEL staining showed that the numbers of apoptotic cells increased first and then decreased in the saline control group and the atorvastatin group.They reached the peak at 1 hour after modeling.There were significant differences in the number of apoptotic cells in each group in perihematoma tissue at the same time point (all P =0.000),and the significance in the saline control group was more than that in the sham operation group and the atorvastatin group (all P <0.05),but at day 7,there was no significant difference in the number of apoptotic cells between the atorvastatin group and the sham operation group (12.69 ± 3.35 vs.9.33 ± 2.07; P =0.148).Immunohistochemical method showed that the numbers of CytC positive cells increased first and then decreased in the saline control group and the atorvastatin group,reached the peak at 12 h after modeling in te saline control group (68.19 ± 11.93) and at 1 d in the atorvastatin group (35.64 ± 9.12).There were significant differences in the numbers of CytC positive cells in perihematoma tissue at the same time point in each group (P =0.000).The numbers of CytC positive cells in the saline control group was significantly more than that in the sham operation group and the atorvastatin group (all P <0.05),but there was no significant difference in the numbers of CytC positive cells between the atorvastatin statin group and the sham group at day 7 (16.08 ± 3.80 vs.13.67 ± 2.94; P =0.349).Conelusions Atorvastatin may inhibit the release of CytC of nerve cells in perihematoma tissue after intracerebral hemorrhage,and thus reduce CytC-mediated apoptosis and neurological deficit after intracerebral hemorrhage.
5.The effect of Nasal Healing Spraying Agent on red cell immune function in mice

Objective To study the immunological regulation of Nasal Healing Spraying Agent (NHSA). Methods Test models were setup by irradiation. The models were administrated with NHSA by lavage and immune adherence of red cells was tested by chaplet experiment with blank and positive control. Results NHSA could increase Red Blood Cell-C3b Receptor Rosette (RBC-C3bRR) and reduce Red Blood Cell-Immune Complex Rosette (RBC-ICR) in mice. Compared with blank control group, the results in the high dose group and middle dose group were statistically significant (P<0.01). The result also showed that NHSA could elevate the quantity and activity of Red Blood Cell-C3b Receptor (RBC-C3bR) and reduce the Immune Complex (IC) to enhance the red cell immune function in mice effectively. Conclusion NHSA could elevate the RBC immunity function in mice and increase immunoregulatory function.
6.Effect of inadequate reduction of medial wall on the postoperative varus deformity following calcaneal fracture surgery and other influencing factors of varus deformity

Objective To explore the effect of inadequate reduction of the medial wall on the postoperative varus deformity following calcaneal fracture surgery and other influencing factors of varus deformity.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted of the 60 patients with calcaneal fracture involving the medial wall (60 feet) who had been treated from October 2005 to September 2015.They were 51 men and 9 women,18 to 55 years of age (average,38.4 years).According to the Sanders classification,24 patients belonged to type Ⅱ,30 to type Ⅲ,and 6 to type Ⅳ.We measured the integrity of the pre-and post-operative medial walls,the height and width of the pre-and post-operative calcanei,the pre-and post-operative B(o)hler angles and the pre-and post-operative calcaneal varus angles for statistical analysis.Results The effect of postoperative height reduction of the medial wall on the postoperative correction of varus angle was significantly larger than that of the lateral wall (P < 0.05).The higher the integrity of the postoperative medial wall,the larger the correction of the postoperative varus angle.The normal rate of postoperative calcaneal varus angle significantly decreased with the increased Sanders classification severity (P =0.001).The postoperative reduction of the height and width of the calcaneus and the integrity of the preand post-operative medial walls were significantly positively correlated to the normal rate of postoperative calcaneal varus angle (P < 0.05).Conclusions The medial wall has a large influence on the postoperative calcaneal varus angle.The higher integrity of the preoperative medial wall,and the more adequate reduction and fixation of the postoperative medial wall as well,the higher rate of postoperative normal calcaneal varus angle.The postoperative reduction of the calcaneal height also affects the varus angle.When the heights of the medial and lateral walls are recovered,the normal rate of varus angle is the highest;when reduction of the medial wall is inadequate but reduction of the lateral wall is fine,the normal rate of varus angle is the lowest.
7.Study on Quality Standard of Zaodi Anshen Pills

Objecfive To establish the quality standard of Zaodi Anshen Pills. Methods TLC method was used to identify Spinosae and Radix polygoni Multiflori. HPLC method was used to determine the schisandrin, deoxyschizandrin and schisandrin B. Eclipse XDB-C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was adopted by gradient elution using MeOH-water solution as the mobile phase. The detection wavelength was at 254 nm, column temperature was at 40 ℃ and the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Results The TLC spots were clear without interference of the negative control. The linear ranges of schisandrin, deoxyschizandrin and schisandrin B were within 338-1690 ng (r 2=0.999 1), 128-640 ng (r 2=0.999 3) and 236-1180 ng (r 2=0.999 4), and the average recoveries were 99.2%, 99.0% and 98.9% respectively. Conclusion This method is accurate, reliable, specific and reproducible, and can be used for quality control of Zaodi Anshen Pills.
8.Analysis of the clinical data of 2843 patients with thyroid nodules

Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics of thyroid nodules.Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 2843 Han patients with thyroid nodules from January 2009 to June 2011 in Henan province was performed.Results The most high-risk of thyroid nodule resided in the group aged 45-54.The main pathological manifestation was simple nodular goiter.The rate of preoperative misdiagnosis was 2.4%.22.1% of the patients with thyroid nodules showed abnormal thyroid function,which was mainly as subclinical thyroid dysfunction.The positive rate of thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) in patients with thyroid nodule was 19.8% while that of thyroid globulin antibody (TgAb) was 20.0%.Among all 2843 subjects,the prevalence of differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) was 28.8%,and the incidence of DTC was accompanied by raised TSH levels.The prevalence of DTC exceeded 40% in patients aged between 25 to 34 as well as more than 74 years old.The prevalence of DTC was up to 33.8% in TgAb positive patients.There was no difference in TPOAb levels between DTC patients and non DTC patients (P =0.406),but the TgAb level in patients with DTC was significantly higher than that of non DTC patients (P =0.033).Conclusion Thyroid nodule patients aged 25-34 or older than 74 formed high-risk groups of DTC.The serum TSH level and TgAb level were positively correlated with the risk of DTC.
9.Accelerating effects of high glucose on NE-induced cardiac hypertrophy of the cultured myocardial cells

AIM To study the effects of high glucose on the cardiac hypertrophy,cultured cardiomyocytes were used to study the accelerating effects of high glucose on norepinephrine(NE) induced cardiac hypertrophy. METHODS Using cultured myocardial cells as a model, the cellular hypertrophy was observed. The protein content was assayed with Lowrys method. The cardiomyocytes' volumes was measured by computer photograph analysis system. The protein synthesis was assayed with leucine intake method. RESULTS The total cellular protein content?cellular volumes?cellular protein synthesis showed an increase in high glucose group, NE group, high glucose and NE group compared with control group, respectively. High glucose and NE group showed a further increase compared with NE group. CONCLUSIONS The high glucose itself induced hypertrophy of the cultured myocardial cells slightly. Meanwhile high glucose can further accelerate hypertrophy of the cultured myocardial cells induced with NE. The effective mechanism between high glucose and NE on cardiac hypertrophy need further study.
10.Effect on ingredients in Naru Sanwei Pill on Radix aconiti kusnezofii by ESI-MS~n

AIM:To study the bioactive components effect of every kind of herbal in Naru Sanwei Pill (Fructus litseae, Fructus chebulae) on Radix Aconiti kusnezoffii. METHODS: Analysising the Naru Sanwei Pill, adding the extraction of Radix Aconiti kusnezoffii to Fructus chebulae and Fructus litseae and was analyzed by ESI-MS~n. RESULTS: The quantity of mesaconitin was low in the extraction of Aconitum kusnezoffii Reichb,and Fructus chebulae.Long Pepper did not have much effect on alkaloids of Aconiti kusnezoffii Reichb. CONCLUSION: Fructus chebulae reduced toxicity in the process of Radix aconiti kusnezoffii,through lowering the dissolving-out of aconitine.
