China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(02):-
During the Song、Jin、Yuan dynasties, great progress had been made on the theoretical and clinical aspects of phlegm disease diagnosis and treatment in TCM accompanied with the vigor and prosperity of the TCM learning. It mainly showed that:rich diagnostic and treating experience had been accumulated and summarized to serve as a legacy based on the theoretical innovation of the clinical practice. ZHU Dan-xi、WANG Gui made epoch-making academic achievements on the aspect of the phlegm disease diagnosis and treatment. YANG Shi-ying、SHI Zai-zhi、YAN Yong-he also had made their own contributions. Besides, the medical formularies of the Song、Jin、Yuan dynasties had special summary and discussion to the all kinds of prescriptions for treating the phlegm. A fair number of those prescriptions were used until now for their effects.

The physicians of Qing Dynasty made deeper knowledge to the formation and harm of the phlegm and systematically summarized the theory of the diagnosis, syndrome differentiation and treatment of the phlegm diseases. In the literatures of such as CHEN Shi-duo, LIN Pei-qin, HE Meng-yao, YOU Zai-jing, the special discussion of the phlegm diseases diagnosis and treatment which contents were theory, principle, prescription and drugs. Next, in the surgery, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics, the physicians paid attention to the diagnosis and treatment from the phlegm and summarized the clinical practical experience. Moreover, in the Chuan Ya Nei Bian, Chuan Ya Wai Bian written by ZHAO Xue-min, the experience of "Zou Fang Yi" on treating the phlegm disease by the method of Ding, Chuan, Jie had its own characteristics.

Objective To observe the chronic hepatotoxicity of the commonly used herbicide mixture in the mice. Methods Low doses herbicide mixture diluted in mice drinking water. The parameters related to hepatic function and ultrastructural changes of the hepatocytes were examined after 18 weeks and 24 weeks of treatment. Results No changes was observed in every parameter after 18 weeks of treatment compared with the control group. After 24-week of treatment, the electron microscope revealed the ultrastructural changes in the hepatocytes, rough endoplasmic reticulum showed dilatation, mitochondria showed matrix muddy with distortion and disappearance of inner crista and the serum transaminase were higher than those in the control group(P

Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear factor-kappa Bp65 (NF-κBp65)and Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)protein in the brain tissues of 7-day-old Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats with cerebral hypoxia-ischemia encephalopathy (HIE) and to explore the role of TLR4 and NF-κBp65 in the pathogenesis of neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage.Methods Seven-day SD rats were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.Brain pathological changes were observed in light microscopy at 6 h、12 h、24 h、72 h、7 d after HIE.The expression of TLR4 and NF-κBp65 in brain tissues were analyzed by immunohistochemistry method.Results NF-κBp65 and TLR4 were expressed in the neuron and microglia of control group and experimental group.The expression were most significant at cerebral cortex and hippocamp.However,the expression of NF-κBp65and TLR4 began to increase at HIE 6h:NF-κBp65 (0.219 3 ± 0.024 7,0.215 7 ±0.030 4)and TLR4(0.327 1 ±0.033 3,0.303 9 ±0.037 9),and achieved the hightest at HIE 24h:NF-κBp65 (0.3564±0.0235,0.3365 ±0.023 2)and TLR4(0.434 2 ±0.0428,0.4193 ±0.041 3),then decreased at HIE 72 h:NF-κBp65 (0.289 2 ± 0.032 0,0.260 9 ± 0.021 2) and TLR4 (0.300 5 ± 0.020 9,0.282 0 ± 0.022 6),and HIE 7 d:NF-κBp65(0.247 9 ±0.0340,0.242 1 ±0.025 4) and TLR4(0.274 4 ±0.0288,0.257 1 ±0.027 5).Conclusion There is a positive correlation between NF-κBp65 and TLR4 in rats with HIE.It suggested that they may have the same pathophysiology development in HIE.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of letrozole combined with traditional Chinese medicine for ovulation dysfunction induced by polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). METHODS: 300 PCOS outpatients were randomized to 3 groups of 100 each: clomiphene citrate (CC) group (188 cycles);urinary gonadotropin (HMG) group (104 cycles) and letrozole (LE) group (155 cycles). The occurrence rate of mature follicle, ovulation rate, pregnancy rate, abortion rate,superfoetation-terata rate, cancellation rate, incidence of no dominant follicle forming and OHSS etc were compared between the two groups after treatment. RESULTS: 30 babies were born in CC group,34 in HMG group and 43 in LE group were born. The occurrence rate of mature follicles, ovulation rate and pregnancy rate in the LE group were higher than in either CC group or HMG group(P0.05);the superfoetation rate in HMG group was higher than in CC group or LE group(P

Objective To investigate the effect of different additional filtration thickness of DSA on image quality and radiation dose with cerebral angiography. Methods Prospective collected 90 patients with DSA examination of the whole cerebral artery, patients were divided into A, B and C group according to the time of the examination, each group included 30 cases. Patients underwent conventional DSA, the additional filtration of group A, B and C were (1.0 mmAl+0.1 mmCu), (1.0 mmAl+0.4 mmCu) and (1.0 mmAl+0.9 mmCu), respectively. Dose area product (DAP), air kerma (AK), tube current and tube voltage of anteroposterior and lateral radiography of the whole brain were recorded, and scored the image quality. Eye lens organ dose values were obtained by using simulation phantom and LiF dosemeter under A, B and C groups with three different additional filtrations for cerebral angiography. The image quality scores and the radiation dosewere analyzed by one-way ANOVA tests or Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results The image quality comprehensive score of three groups showed significant difference (F=40.07,P<0. 01), which were (3.8±0.4), (3.6 ± 0.5) and (3.0 ± 0.6), respectively. The DAP and AK value of anteroposterior and lateral radiography of three groups also showed significant difference (P<0.05), B and C group were lower than the A group. Left and right eye lens organ dose were decreased along with the increase of the additional filtration thickness, and the difference between the 3 groups also had significant difference (P<0.01). Conclusion Both the image quality and radiation dose can acquire when conducted the whole brain DSA with 1.0 mmAl+0.4 mmCu additional filtration.
