Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
The currently unfavorable physician - patient relationship has lead to a total loss of interests from multiple sides of hospitals, patients, medical staff, medical education and the society, which specifies in the wellbeing loss of patients and the whole population. The social stability has also been affected. The health care reform should aim to minimize the conflicts between doctors and patients, thus the above mentioned losses will be diminished and a harmonious physician - patient relationship will be built up and the win - win pattern of benefits between doctors and patients will also be realized.Multiple efforts from the government, society, hospitals, medical staff, and patients are all needed to achieve such a goal.

Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics of children with lupus nephritis(LN).Methods The data of 116 inpatients from Mar.2000 to Nov.2008 with LN were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical, immunochemical and pathological data were recorded.Renal tissue was observed by light microscopy and electron microscopy after HE,PAS,Masson and PASM staining according to WHO standards.Follow-up results showed complete remission, partial remission, disease activity, renal insufficiency and death. Results Of the 116 cases of LN,there were 27 male and 89 female with a ratio of male to female 1.03.3,and the mean age was(12.0?2.2) years. The incidence of nephrotic syndrome was 63.8 %(74 cases),and acute nephritis was 21.5%(25 cases).Class Ⅳ LN was the most frequent type(14 cases,50%) and classⅢ was next(25 cases,21.5%).In view of the outcome, rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and class Ⅳ LN were the worst.LN was initially controlled in 96.5% of the patients.Relapses of LN were most caused by the intermittent treatment.Totally 32 cases showed different renal injury, and 6 cases progressed to death. Conclusions Renal biopsy is important to diagnosis, treatment and prognosis evaluation of LN.Long and regular treatment is important for children with LN.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the recent cluster outbreaks of imported malaria and explore the risks, challenges and countermeasures for dealing with such events during malaria post-elimination era of malaria, and to provide reference for effectively addressing the risks and consolidating the achievements of malaria elimination. Methods The individual malaria case data from "The Information System for Infectious Disease Surveillance" and "The Information System For Parasitic Diseases Prevention And Control" were collected, and the diagnosis classification, infection source, time and space distribution of cases were analyzed. Results From January 1 to August 11, 2022, a total of 429 malaria cases were reported nationwide, an 18.9% decrease compared to the same period last year (529 cases), all of which were imported cases. The overall weekly trend of the outbreak remained stable, but since Week 31 (July 25-31), there has been a significant increase in the number of cases, with a peak on August 5. From July 25 to August 11, 2022, a total of 162 malaria cases were reported nationwide, up 315.4% from 39 cases in the same period last year, accounting for 37.8% of the total cases up to August 11, 2022. The main source of imported infections was Guinea (95 cases, 58.6%), with most cases reported in Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province (30 cases), Shilin County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province (21 cases), Chaoyang District, Beijing (11 cases), and Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province (7 cases). Conclusions Due to the concentration of returnees to China, several entry port cities simultaneously experienced cluster outbreaks of imported malaria, which brought immense pressure and challenges to local medical and health institutions. Health facilities at all levels need to maintain high vigilance and sensitivity, be well prepared, and avoid death and secondary transmission caused by imported cases.

In order to develop characteristic folk medicine resources in Jiangxi, a pharmacognostical study was systematically performed for four different origin plants of Sikuaiwa, the result of study provides the microscopic features of powder and tissue of the crude drug. The research provided reference for the identification of Sikuaiwa, as well as a theoretical basis for the further development and the formulation of quality standards.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(2):128-130
Objective To study the effect of transfecting anti-sense expression vector of the first subtype of the monocarboxylate transporter (MCT1) gene into human lung adenocarcinoma cells on intracellular pH (pHi) regulation, lactate transportation and cell growth. Methods MCT1 antisense gene recombinant vector pLXSN-MCT1 was introduced into human lung cancer cells A549 with electroporation. The cell colonies resistant to G418 were selected. Positive clones were examined by PCR to confirm the integration of genomic A549 DNA and antisene MCT1 gene. The changes of pHi and lactate transportation were detected with spectrophotometry. Cell growth was studied with cell growth curve. Results pHi and lactate transport were remarkably decreased in the transfected cells, and the cell growth was inhibited compared with the cells without transfection(P<0.001). Conclusion MCT1 gene may play an important role in pHi regulation, lactate transport and cell growth in lung tumor cells.

AIM: To investigate the influence of He-Ne laser on connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) expression and collagen formation of fibroblast in filtration site after trabeculectomy in rabbit, and to discuss the mechanism for preventing scar formation with He-Ne laserin vivo.METHODS: The upper nasal limbus area next to the upper rectus muscle in right eyes Received 10 minutes He-Ne laser irradiation (200mW/cm2) every day for three days, the left eyes served as control. Twenty-four hours after the last irradiation, both eyes of the rabbits were took trabeculectomy surgery. The expressions of CTGF in the filtration area were tested on the 7th, 14th and 28th day after surgery and collagen density was tested on the 14th and 28th day after surgery. Each of the time point had 7 rabbits. RESULTS: The expression of CTGF was lower than that of the control group's on the 7th and 14th day after trabeculectomy surgery (P=0.01, P=0.005). When examined on the 14th and 28th day, the collagen density of irradiation group were significantly lower than that of the control group's (P=0.013, P=0.01).CONCLUSION: Pretreating the filtration area with 200mW/cm2 He-Ne laser may be helpful in preventing scar formation after trabeculectomy in rabbit, possibly due to downregulation of the expression of CTGF and collagen synthesis in fibroblasts. He-Ne laser may be developed into a new scar preventing method in filtration surgery.
