The DNA content was quantitively determined in 30 specimens of colorectal carcinoma including 15 cases of tubular adenocarcinoma (TAC.5 cases each of grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ respectively) ,5 cases of papillary adenocarcinoma (PAO.5 cases of mucoid adenocarcinoma (MAC) and 5 cases of signet-ring cell carcinoma (SCO),and 5 specimens of norma! colomic nucosa with mi-crospectro-photometry.The average DNA contents of different tissues were as follows:Normal colonic mucosa:13.54The difference of DNA contents of various types of carcinoma with normal mucosa, and that of TAC-Ⅰ and SCC with TAC-Ⅲ,PAC and MAC was statistically very significant (P

Objective To study the diagnostic value of MSCT in cystic lung cancer with ground glass opacity(GGO),and improve understanding of the disease as well as diagnostic accuracy. Methods 2 1 cases of pathologically confirmed cystic lung cancer with GGO were analyzed retrospectively, all patients were examined by MSCT.CT features of the GGO and the cysts, including bronchovascular convergence sign, speculation sign, pleural indentation sign, lobulation, thickness and uniformity of the cyst wall, septa and the location of the lesion were analyzed. Results The image findings of the 21 cases of the cystic lung cancer with GGO included:bronchovasular convergence sign in 6 cases(28.6%),speculation sign in 10 cases(47.7%),pleural indentation sign in 12 cases(57.1%),lobulation in 8 cases(38.1%),10 cases(47.7%)showed pure GGO.The cyst wall was(1.7±0.9)mm in thickness and the cyst was (13.2±7.0)mm in diameter.Cyst wall was uniform in 9 cases(42.9%),septa was seen in 14 cases(66.7%),cysts of 16 cases(76.1%)were located in the upper lobes of the lung,1 case(4.7%)had distinctly mediastinal lymph node metastasis.Air-fluid lever, mural nodule or intrapulmonary metastasis were not present in any of the cases. Conclusion The majority of the cystic lung cancer with GGO are adenocarcinoma. In addition of the interference of its prominent cystic features on MSCT,the cystic lung cancer have characteristics of lung cancer with GGO.By analyzing its CT features, diagnostic accuracy can be improved before operation.

Remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) is a means of playing the systemic organ protective effect by transient ischemia/reperfusion of the limb, thus reduces the damage caused by more severe ischemic events.RIC can be applied before, during and after ischemic events;among them, the application before ische-mia is relatively more, which is called the remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC).Researches have shown that RIC has considerable clinical translation value characterizing by non-invasion,economy,safety and effect. Although the specific mechanism needs to continue to be explored, but its protective targets are quite exten-sive.Especially for the heart,RIC seems to have favorable protective effects on the heart under almost all pathological conditions. Moreover,RIC has a certain degree of protective effect on the nervous system, lungs, livers and kidneys.Based on this, this article reviews the protective effects of RIC in different organs and its possible mechanisms.

Baylisascaris schroederi,a roundworm(ascaridoid)parasite specific to the bamboo-feeding giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca),represents a leading cause of mortality in wild giant panda populations. Here,we present a 293-megabase chromosome-level genome assembly of B.schroederi to infer its biology, including host adaptations.Comparative genomics revealed an evolutionary trajectory accompanied by host-shift events in ascaridoid parasite lineages after host separations, suggesting their potential for transmission and rapid adaptation to new hosts.Genomic and anatomical lines of evidence, including expansion and positive selection of genes related to the cuticle and basal metabolisms, indicate that B.schroederi undergoes specific adaptations to survive in the sharp-edged bamboo-enriched gut of giant pandas by structurally increasing its cuticle thickness and efficiently utilizing host nutrients through gut parasitism.Additionally,we characterized the secretome of B.schroederi and predicted potential drug and vaccine targets for new control strategies.Overall, this genome resource provides new insights into the host adaptation of B.schroederi to the giant panda as well as the host-shift events in ascaridoid parasite lineages. Our findings on the unique biology of B.schroederi will also aid in the development of prevention and treatment measures to protect giant panda populations from roundworm parasitism.
