Self-forgiveness is a component of forgiveness trait. It’s not only the response to the wrongdoing,but also a character of the individual. It can help the subjects dismiss negative emotion and inner conflict,help the subjects reduce depression and anxiety,and improve their sociality and life-satisfaction. The author has reviewed relative articles in recent years with the emphasis on exploring the definition,the factors of self-forgiveness and the relation between self-forgiveness and mental health.

Objective To study the efficacy and safety of low-dose azithromycin with tiotropium bromide in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods A hundred and ten patients were randomized into three groups:tiotropium bromide group (36 cases,group A),azithromycin with tiotropium bromide group(38 cases,group B)and control group(36 cases,group C).Patients in group A were given tiotropium bromide (18 μg,q,d )in addition to conventional treatment.The patients in group B were given lowdose azithromycin (250 mg,twice a week) in combined with tiotropium bromide.The patients in control group were given the conventional treatment only.The courses of treatment lasted for six months.Results Compared with the control group,the frequency of acute exacerbation in patients treated with azithromycin and tiotropium bromide was reduced remarkably ( 2.1 ± 0.6 and 4.9 ± 0.7,t =18.5061,P ＜ 0.05 ).The severity of clinic symptoms ( Cough 1.3 ± 0.5 vs.2.2 ± 0.6,P ＜ 0.05 ),expectoration ( 1.0 ± 0.2 vs.1.7 ± 0.3,P ＜ 0.05 ),anhelation ( 1.5 ± 0.8 vs.2.1 ± 0.6,t =3.6342,P ＜ 0.001 ) ],life quality ( 29 ± 8 vs.42 ± 11,P ＜ 0.05 ) and six-minutes walking distance( [ 370.00 ± 14.26 ] m vs.[ 290.00 ± 12.85 ] m,P ＜ 0.05 ) of the azithromycin with tiotropium bromide group were improved significantly when compared with control.Compared with the tiotropium bromide group,the frequency of acute exacerbation ( 2.1 ± 0.6 vs.3.2 ± 0.8,P ＜ 0.05 ),the severity of clinic symptoms (Cough 1.3 ±0.5 vs.1.8 ±0.4,P＜0.05),expectoration( 1.0 ±0.2 vs.1.3 ±0.3,P ＜0.05) and anhelation( 1.5 ±0.8 vs.1.9 ± 0.6,P ＜ 0.05 ) ],life quality ( 29 ± 8 vs.36 ± 10,P ＜ 0.05 ) and six-minutes walking distance ( [ 370.00 ± 14.26 ] m vs.[ 330.00 ± 13.76 ] m,P ＜ 0.05 ) were improved over those of tiotropium bromide group.Conclusion The long-term low-dose azithromycin in combinned with tiotropium bromide is good and safe in treating stable COPD.Therefore,it is worth of further clinical evaluation.

Intervertebral disc degeneration is one of the orthopedic common diseases , its complex physiopathological changes are regulated by many factors .The matrix metalloproteinases ( MMPs) and its regulatoryl factors play a very important role , and the factors that affect the role of MMPs in intervertebral disc degeneration interact with each other .So MMPs have gradually become one of the hot spot of intervertebral disc degeneration in recent years .In this paper , we first analyze the factors that cause the degeneration of intervertebral disc .Then we summarize the relationship between the expression of MMPs and the degeneration of intervertebral disc ac -cording to the different function of MMPs members in the family .Finally we state that MMPs can have an effect on the degeneration of intervertebral disc by the regulation of gene polymorphism and the related factors .

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of gamma knife for the treatment of idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia Methods An analysis of 87 cases with idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia treated by gamma knife in our department in the past 5 years was performed In all cases, 4 mm isocenter was targeted at the proximal nerve at the root entry zone located by MRI The target dose varied from 70-90 Gy Results After a follow up of 6-67 months, complete relief of pain occurred in 66 patients (75 9%), 50%-90% relief in 18(20 7%), relief less than 50% in 2(2 3%) but no relief in 1(1 1%) Repeated radiosurgery was performed in 2 patients (2 3%) with recurrent pain After the second radiosurgical procedure, complete relief of pain was found in the 2 patients Two patients(2 3%) experienced facial numbness after radiosurgical procedure Conclusion Gamma knife radiosurgery is a minimally invasive technique for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia with few complications Repeated radiosurgical procedure may result in relief of pain, but the long term outcome of gamma knife surgery for trigeminal neuralgia needs to be further studied

Objective To investigate the expression of Notch1 protein and its clinicopathologieal characteristics in colorectal carcinomas. Methods The expression and location of Notch1 protein were determined using immunohistochemical S-P method in 30 colorectal carcinomas and 18 normal colorectal tissues. Results The average positive rate of Notch1 protein was 45.5 ± 0. 7% in colorectal carcinomas and 6. 8 ± 0. 9% in normal colorectal tissues. There was significant difference between colorectal carcinomas and normal colorectal tissues (P ＜ 0. 05). The expression of Notchl protein in different age, sex, tumor site, nodal involvement and Dukes stage had no significant difference. The expression of Notch1 protein in different histology grade had significantly statistical difference. Conclusion Notch1 expression was associated with the development of colorectal carcinoma. Notch1 was the potential oncagenic gene. Nothe1 would become the new target of the colorectal tumor therapy in the future.

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of lactoferrin(Lf) on lung injury in mice exposed to irradiation.Methods:C57BL/6 J mice were randomly divided into control group, 15 Gy irradiation group (IR group) and lactoferrin combined 15 Gy irradiation group (Lf+ IR group), with 5 mice in each group. The mice in the Lf+ 15 Gy group drank lactoferrin solution (10 mg/ml) from 3 days before irradiation and contained the whole experiments. Then, single chest 15 Gyirradiation was performed both in the IR and Lf+ IR groups. The body weight and other characteristics were monitored during the experiment. The mice were killed at day 14 after irradiation. The lung histopathology was observed by HE staining. Serum inflammatory cytokine such as HMGB1, TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 was determined by ELISA method . The expression of inflammatory related protein in lung tissue including HMGB1, TLR4, MyD88 and NF-κB were performed by immune histochemistry and Western blot method.Results:Compared with the control group, lung weight was significantly increased ( t=3.20, P<0.05), pulmonary hyperemia and inflammatory cell infiltration was observed in the IR group. Exposure also significantly increased serum level of TNF-α[(291.80±5.49) vs.(332.25±22.18)pg/ml]( t=3.07, P<0.05), up-regulated the expression of inflammatory related protein in lung tissue ( t=4.04, 4.78, 3.77, 6.14, P<0.05). Lactoferrin intervention (Lf+ IR group) significantly decreased lung weight ( t=2.18, P<0.05), alleviated histopathologic changes, decrease serum levels of HMGB1, TNF-α and IL-1β ( t=4.67, 2.97, 3.49, P<0.05). On the other hand, lactoferrin intervention decreased the positive cell number of HMGB1 and NF-κB, and down-regulated the protein expression of HMGB1, TLR4, MyD88 and NF-κB in lung tissues, with significant difference with the IR group ( t=8.06, 9.80, 3.07, 5.56, P<0.05). Conclusions:Lactoferrin plays the protective effect of radiation-induced lung injury through the downregulation of inflammatory response, such as HMGB1/TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and related factors of diabetic retinopathy (DR) among residents with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Culai Town of Tai'an City in Shandong Province.Methods According to the DM management file database for community,785 patients with T2DM were randomly selected by cluster sampling method.The questionnaires,routine general examinations,visual and fundus-free fluoroscopy were performed on all the patients.DR diagnosis and classification was according to the guidelines for clinical diagnosis and treatment of DR in China (2014).Both monocular and binocular DR were selected as DR patients,and the worse eye for binocular DR were treated as the DR classification of the patient.The patients were grouped by presence or absence of DR.GraphPad Prism 6,SigmaPlot 12.5,SPSS 20.0 and Excel were used to achieve data analysis.Also,SPSS 20.0 was used for multi-factor logistic regression analysis.Results A total of 699 patients (89.04％) were actually recorded.There were 122 eyes of 63 patients (9.01％) with DR (DR group),1272 eyes of 636 patients (90.99％) without DR (NDR group).Among the 122 eyes of DR,there were 19 (15.57％),17 (13.93％),70 (57.38％),10 (8.20％),6 (4.92％) eyes in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,respectively.The differences of mean age (t=15 290,P=0.002),DM duration (t=9075,P＜ 0.000) and diastolic blood pressure (t=15 810,P=0.006) between the two groups were statistically significant.There were 23 (36.51％) and 394 (61.95％) patients with hypertension history in the DR group and the NDR group,with the significant difference (Z2=15.42,OR=0.35,95％CI 0.21-0.60).There were 57 (90.48％) and 500 (78.62％) patients with fasting blood glucose larger than 6.11 mmol/L in the DR group and the NDR group,with the significant difference (OR=2.51,95％CI 1.06-5.95,P=0.031).Logistic regression analysis showed that the age,fasting blood glucose and DM duration were influencing factors for DR (OR=1.039,0.864,0.898;P=0.021,＜0.000,＜0.000).Conclusion The prevalence of DR in patients with T2DM in Culai Town of Tai'an City is 9.01％.Age,DM duration,fasting blood glucose are associated to DR.Those with a history of hypertension may have a lower risk of DR than those without a history of hypertension.

Objective Microenvironment plays important roles in the proliferation , viability, and apoptosis of tumor cells. This study was to investigate the effects of different functional groups on the biological characteristics of the osteosarcoma Saos -2 cell line in vitro. Methods Using self-assembled monolayers of alkanethiols on gold , we prepared different terminal chemical groups , including methyl (-CH3 ) , amino (-NH2 ) , hydroxyl (-OH) , and carboxyl (-COOH ) .We determined the similar density of different functional groups by contact angle measurement and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy , and observed the effects of different functional groups on the adhesion , proliferation, viability, and apoptosis of the osteosarcoma Saos-2 cells by fluorescence microscopy , CCK-8 as-say, flow cytometry, and scan electron microscopy (SEM). Results The surface of -COOH and -NH2 promoted the adhesion and proliferation of the of the Saos-2 cells, with a good compatibility , while that of -CH3 was unfavorable for their adhesion and proliferation and even increased their apoptosis . The promoting effects of the functional groups on the adhesion and proliferation of the cells were listed in the following order: -COOH ≥ -NH2 >-OH -CH3 , while their toxicity and apoptosis-increasing effect ranked as -CH3 -OH >-NH2 >-COOH. Conclusion The-CH3 group inhibits the adhesion and proliferation and promotes the apoptosis of Saos-2 cells, which has provided some evidence for the surface design of biomaterials.

Objective To evaluate effect and safety of first-line chemotherapy regimen combined with rh-endostatin for osteosarcoma of the extremities.Methods Sixty three patients with osteosarcoma were randomly divided into experiment group and control group.There were 32 patients in experiment group,and 31 patients in control group.Nine patients 9 were rejected because they did not meet the standard.Finally,54 patients were enrolled in this study,including 29 patients in experiment group,and 25 patients in control group.In the experiment group,the patients were treated with rh-endostatin combined with MTX,IFO,DDP,and ADM,while patients in control group were treated with MTX,IFO,DDP,and ADM.Several indexes including median progression-free survival time,clinical benefit rate,progression-free survival rate,limb salvage rate,and survival rate were used to assess clinical effect.The safety of rh-endostatin was evaluated by comparing incidence of adverse events in the two groups.Results The median progression-free survival time of experiment group and control group was 18.9 months and 13.1 months,respectively; there was no significant difference.In the experiment group,the clinical benefit rate,progression-free survival rate,survival rate and limb salvage rate were 89.7％,37.9％,65.5％,and 89.7％,respectively; while in the control group,the clinical benefit rate,progression-free survival rate,survival rate,and limb salvage rate were 88.0％,36.0％,68.0％,and 96.0％,respectively.There was no significant difference in 4 indexes mentioned above between two groups.Conclusion After being combined with first-line chemotherapy regimen,rh-endostatin doesn't show significant advantage in controlling tumour progression and improving survival rate.No more toxicity and new side effects are found after using rh-endostatin.
