Objective To explore the effects of walking training assisted by electromyographic biofeedback (EMGBF) on the lower limb function of subacute stroke patients with foot drop. Methods Forty subacute stroke patients with foot drop were randomly divided into an EMGBF training group (n =20 ) and a routine rehabilitation training group ( n =20 ).Both groups received routine rehabilitation training. The EMGBF training group also received walking training assisted by three stages of EMGBF.The subjects were treated for 40 min twice per day,5 days a week for 6 weeks.Clinical and functional evaluations such as surface electromyogram (sEMG) signals from the anterior tibial muscle, active ankle dorsiflexion range of motion ( AROM ),scores on the modified Ashworth scale (MAS),results of the modified Lovett manual muscle test (mMMT),pace and step length,Berg balance scale (BBS) scores,Fugl-Meyer movement function scale (FMA) assessments, modified Barthel index (MBI) scores and Holden walking function test results were observed before treatment, after 6 weeks of treatment and at follow-up 6 weeks after the end of treatment. Results Before treatment there was no significant difference between the two groups. There were significant differences in all of the assessment results in the EMGBF training group after treatment compared with before treatment and compared with the routine rehabilitation training group after treatment. At followup 6 weeks after training, average pace (69.75 ± 35.09 m/min),step length (60.98 ± 14.09 cm),FMA score (32.5 ± 6.34 ) and MBI score (88.65 ± 14.13 ) in the EMGBF training group were all significantly better than in the routine rehabilitation group. At follow up,5 patients in the EMGBF training group achieved grade 5 in the Holden walking function test versus only 1 patient in the routine rehabilitation group. Conclusion Walking training assisted by EMGBF is effective in improving lower limb motor function in subacute stroke patients with foot drop.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(23):3191-3193
OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for clinical rational drug use. METHODS:Medication error(ME)cases report-ed from outpatient department from Oct. 2014 to Sept. 2015 in our hospital were analyzed, including ME category, classification, cause and proportion of persons who triggered or detected ME. RESULTS:Among 207 reports, there was no case of category A, 199 cases of category B,8 cases of category C,no of categories D-I. Among them,162 cases occurred in the links of prescrip-tions by doctors (78.26%),45 cases (21.74%) occurred in the links of dispensing prescriptions by pharmacists, the top 3 ME were improper usage(42.59%),improper administration route(40.74%)and inappropriate solvent(5.56%);the top 3 dispensing errors were variety error(40.00%),specification error(28.89%)and number errors(24.44%). The main causes for prescription errors were incomplete information system(56.17%)and drug information missing of doctors(43.83%);the main causes for dis-pensing errors were double specifications of drugs(35.56%),similar drug name(28.89%)and staffsntired(26.67%). In terms of the persons who triggered ME,the proportions of pharmacists, nurses, patients or their families were 97.58%,1.45% and 0.97%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS:Further strengthening information system and the on-the-job training for physicians and pharmacists can reduce the ME to some extent.

Objective To investigate the effects of Shouwu-Yizhi capsule on learning and memory, and the expressions of presenilin 1(PS1),β-amyloid precursor protein (APP) mRNAs in the hippocampus following cerebral ischemia reperfusion in rats. Methods Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly divided into a Shouwu-Yizhi group, a piracetam group, a model group, and a sham operation group with 20 rats in each group. Focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion model was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion for 2 hours. Seven days after ischemia reperfusion, the rats in the Shouwu-Yizhi and piracetam groups were administered intragastrically Shouwu-Yizhi solution (52 mg/ml) and piracetam solution (28 mg/ml) for 28 days, both in dose of 1 ml/(100 g?d) for 28 days;and the rats in the model and sham operation groups were given intragastrically equivalent volumes of normal saline. Learning and memory were tested using the Morris water maze, and the expressions of PS1 and APP mRNAs were measured using real-time quantitative fluorescent PCR. Results Water maze test showed that the escape latency (12.98±0.70s vs. 9.43±0.78s) was significantly shorter, and the frequency of crossing platform (5.08±0.39 vs. 7.62±0.43) significantly lower in the model groupthan those in the sham operation group; the escape latency (9.77±0.58s vs. 12.98±0.70s) was significantly shorter and the frequency of crossing platform (7.40±0.44 vs. 5.08±0.39) significantly lower in the Shouwu-Yizhi group than those in the model group(all P<0.01). The expressions of PS1 (0.99±0.01 vs. 1.08± 0.03)and APP (1.06±0.03 vs. 1.12±0.04) mRNAs in the hippocampus in the Shouwu-Yizhi group were significantly decreased than those in the model group (P<0.05 or 0.01). Conclusion Shouwu-Yizhi capsule may inhibit the expressions of PS1 and APP mRNAs in the hippocampus, and improve the learning and memory following cerebral ischemia reperfusion in rats.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(02):-
Body composition by body voluraetry (water displacement), height, body weight, 5 skinfolds thickness and circumference of 6 body parts were measured in 101 Chinese men. A stepwise regression analysis of these data gave the following regression equations.Body density = 1.11197 - 0.00228S1 - 0.00046S2 - 0.00039S3-Fat(%)= 0.91137S1 + 0.17871S2 + 0.15381S3 - 3.60146S1. S2 and S3 represent the skinfolds thickness of tricepital, subscapular, and suprailiac respectively.Lean body weight = Body weight. (1-Fat%)
