1.Comments on Translation of Acupoints inA Practical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(9):4-7
This article made comments on the English translation of acupoints inA Practical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine. It found that its main translation strategy was literal translation supplemented with transliteration and free translation, which made contributions to the reservation of the features of TCM culture and helped western learners grasp the knowledge of acupuncture and moxibustion. It proposed unification of the translation of the same word in different acupoints, and analyzed some misinterpretations due to polysemy and Chinese interchangeable characters, with a purpose to promote the establishment of an international standard for the translation of acupoints.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;17(5):360-362
Objective To investigate radiographic features of pneumocystis carinii pneumonia(PCP)or Kaposi sarcoma(KS),which were the most common complications of AIDS after renal transplantation. Methods Radiographic diagnosis and differential diagnosis of 2 cases with PCP and KS comfirmed by pathology were discussed by analysing the chest X-ray findings combined with revieuw of reference literature. Results The two cases with anti-HIV antibody all had mediasinal lymphopathy. In the case of KS,the omental tuber or tubercle shadows and pleural effusion were found on both pulmonary fields. Conclusion No characteristic chest radiographic meanifestations in AIDS,the definitive diagnosis depends on clinical laboratory examination and pathological examination.

Objective To study the prognosis value of the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and it's acceptor(VEGF,Flk-1) and microvessel density(MVD) gene proteins in the breast carcinoma and paracarcinoma tissue. Methods Immunohistochemical technique was adopted to detect the protein expression of VEGF,Flk-1 and MVD in 76 cases of breast carcinoma and 10 cases paracarcinoma tissue. Results (1)The positive expression of VEGF,Flk-1 were 59.3% and 61.3% in the carcinoma group, which were higher than in the paracarcinoma tissue(P

PurposeWith the extensive use of percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for the treatment of hepatic carcinoma (HC), the study of MRI findings and its clinical signiifcance after RFA of HC have important value and can improve the complete ablation rate.Materials and MethodsA retrospective analysis of post-procedure MRI ifndings of 79 patients (114 lesions) with HC were performed, the size of the lesion, the signal changes and enhancement condition were observed at the ifrst, fourth and seventh month after RFA; the two different ifndings of high signal ring on MRI T1WI and local recurrence rate were analyzed.ResultsOne month after RFA, peripheral region of RFA lesion showed high signal on T1WI, and slightly lower signal on T2WI, the size of lesions was slightly larger than pre-procedure, enhancement scan showed the thin homogeneous ring enhanced around the non-enhanced lesions; 4 months later, the size of lesions were relative stable and the periphery enhancement was weaken; 7 months later, the size of lesions were reduced and showed no enhancement. For recurrence lesions, the high signal ring was incomplete on TIWI, the incomplete area showed nodular enhancement on the arterial phase, and most of nodule showed slightly lower signal on the delay phase demonstrated a feature of quick wash-in and wash-out; 7 months after RFA, recurrence rate was 6.12% in patients with complete high signal ring and 43.75% in patients with incomplete high signal ring, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total survival rate and accumulated survival rate of the patients with complete high signal ring on T1WI were higher than the patients with incomplete ring, the difference was statistically signiifcant (P<0.05).ConclusionThere are characteristic ifndings of MRI examination of liver cancer after percutaneous RFA, observation of the integrity of high signal ring on T1WI image and ifnding of dynamic enhancement scan can early evaluate efifcacy of RFA guide the selection of treatment plan.

Objective To review the relation between alpha fetoprotein(AFP) and gastric carcinoma as well as the advancement of literatures about the alpha fetoprotein-producing gastric carcinoma(AFPGC).Methods Domestic and foreign literatures on AFPGC were collected and reviewed. Results AFP is very useful to the diagnosis, pathological type and prognosis of the AFPGC as a specific tumor marker. Conclusion AFPGC is a special type of gastric cancer with high degree of malignancy and poor prognosis.

AIM: To investigate the effects of testosterone on endothelial function and intimal proliferation after balloon injury in male rabbit abdominal aorta. METHODS: 24 male New Zealand white rabbits were divided randomly into three groups: control group ( n =8, sham castration), hypotestosteronemia group ( n =8,castration) and testosterone replacement group (n =8,castration +testosterone undecanoate intramuscular injection,14 mg/kg). Abdominal aorta was injured with 3 mm PTCA balloon after testosterone undecanoate had been injected for three days. Two weeks later, blood samples were obtained for detection of plasma testosterone, lipids, metabolic product of nitric oxide (NO - 2/NO - 3), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA),and all the abdominal aorta were excised to be analyzed by computer. RESULTS: The intimal area of hypotestosteronemia group were significantly larger than that of other two groups( P

Objective:To observe the effect of the salidroside on the sleep phase of insomnia rats. Methods: Under the conditions of constant temperature, constant humidity, light automatically and electromagnetic shielding, the effect of the salidroside on the sleep phase of insomnia rats was observed with the method of the cortical EEG.Results:The results showed that salidroside can obviously decrease the duration of W and increase TST,primarily prolong SWS2 and REMS.Conclusion:Salidroside can prolong SWS2 and REMS of insomnian rats and regulate the sleep phase of insomnia rats near the normal rats.

Objective:To study the effects of adhesive peptide arginlie-glycine-aspartic acid(RGD) on the attachment and spreading of osteoblast on the surface of dental implant materials. Methods: RGDC peptides were covalently immobilized on the surface of dental implant materials by SAMs. Rat osteoblasts were isolated and cultured on the materials. The attachment and spreading behavior of the cells were analyzed by cell counting and FITC-conjugated immunofluorsescent assay. Results: On the RGD coated surface, cell attachment was increased by 50% (P

Radiation-induced skin injury refers to the acute and chronic skin damage caused when skin is exposed to radiation. Radiation-induced skin damage may be created by nuclear disaster, radiation accident, radiation therapy, occupational exposure and so on. Approximately 95% of patients receiving radiotherapy will eventually develop into radiation-induced dermatitis during or after the treatment. As a consequence, how to appropriately prevent and remedy radiation-induced skin injury is of great practical significance. According to traditional Chinese medicine, radiation-induced skin injury belongs to fire, heat and toxin, blocking Qi and blood, injuring the muscle surface, affecting the distribution of Qi, blood and body fluid in the body, and damaging the function of viscera. This paper summarizes the cognition and development of traditional Chinese medicine theory of radiation-induced skin injury, as well as the research progress of internal and external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to provide a basis for the research and treatment of radiation-induced skin injury with traditional Chinese medicine.
