Results of experiments such as ammonia steaming test in mice and citr ic acid test in guinea pigs, phenol red secretion test in mice and capillary exp ectorant test in rats, in-vivo and in-vitro antiasthmatic tests in guinea pigs p roved that Tankeqing capsule had good antitussive, expectorant and antiasthmatic effects and a significant time-effect relationship was showed. The antitussive effect and expectorant effect arrived to the peak in 1-6h after oral administrat ion, and the antiashmatic effect in about 1h.

Objective To investigate employment of non medicine majors in medical universities and colleges and to provide recommendations. Methods Investigation on employment intention of 2010 grade non medicine majors in medical universities and colleges in Guangzhou was conducted.SPSS 13.0 was used to establish database and results were expressed as constituent ratio. Results Most non medicine majors wanted to find a job rather than taking postgraduate entrance exams and civil service test.Realizing their own values was the main purposes of employment.Preferred employment areas were mainly concentrated in large city(71.08%)and urban city(18.67%).Students expect a monthly salary between 3001 and 4000.Conclusions Employment intentions of non-medical students in medical universities and colleges are rational enough and career planning education should be strengthened.

Objective To research the relationship between binocular acuity and monocular acuity, and their effect on the evaluation of visual impairment and disability. Methods 1006 patients, aged between 18 and 60 years, are measured monocular and binocular acuities after the best lens correction. Results Binocular vision is higher than, equal to and less than monocular vision, three accounted for 27.14%, 70.78% and 70.78% respectively. Interocular difference has certain correlation with binocular interactions (χ2=54.939,P<0.05,r=0.228). Thirty-three patients have same binocular acuity but different monocular acuity. Conclusion Binocular acuity associated with the monocular acuity and the better eye vision plays a special role in visual disability evaluation.

Virginiamycin acetyltransferase D (VatD) plays a vital rule in streptogramins resistance by chemically inactivating streptogramin A. Therefore, it is desirable to discover novel small molecular weight inhibitors of VatD via state-of-the-art virtual screening techniques. This "cocktail" strategy by combining VatD inhibitor with streptogramins may provide new therapeutic opportunity for resistant bacteria infections. Structure-based virtual screening method (molecular docking) was applied to rank and score a chemical database containing 300 000 commercially available compounds against the VatD substrate binding site. Twenty six out of the 200 top scored compounds from the docking calculation were selected and submitted to the VatD enzymatic inhibition assay. The plasmid pRSET B/vatD was constructed and transformed into E.coli (trxB) host cells for over-expression, and VatD enzyme was purified and validated by showing acetyltransferase activity to Virginiamycin M1. Three out of these 26 tested compounds showed enzymatic inhibition on VatD with IC50 168.6, 91.0 and 55.2 μmol·L-1, separately. Other compounds could not be dissolved in the system and/or had little effect on the enzyme (IC50>200 μmol·L-1). To our knowledge, it is first time that small molecular weight organic compounds were identified as VatD inhibitors. It is expected that the VatD inhibitors identified at present study could serve as lead compounds for the further development of the novel therapeutic agents to overcome streptogramins resistance.

Objective To study the bioactive components from stems of Schisandra propinqua var. intermedia. Methods Compounds were separated with acombination of multi-chromatography. Their che- mical structures were determined on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidence. Results Nine compounds were isolated from S. propinqua var. intermedia. The structures were elucidated as vanillic acid- 4- O-?-D-allopyranoside (Ⅰ), salidroside (Ⅱ), 2-hydroxy-5-(2-hydroxyethyl)-phenyl-?-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅲ), 3, 4-dimethoxyphenyl-4-?-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅳ), 3, 5-dihydroxybenzoic acid-4-O-?-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅴ), 3, 5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid (Ⅵ), 4-methoxy-benzoic acid (Ⅶ), vanillic acid (Ⅷ) and protocatechuic acid (Ⅸ). Conclusion Compound Ⅰ is a new phenolic alloside and others are isolated from S. propinqua var. intermedia for the first time.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2017;16(3):239-242
The paper introduced the theory of the standard score and its application in instructional supervision and analyzed the difference between the standard score and original score in instructional supervision recording and revealed the reasons behind the difference.Besides, the paper pointed out the advantages which included scientificity and stability, providing information of the grade level, being suitable for longitudinal comparison and the crosswise comparison, and disadvantages such as complex calculation and depending on the distribution of original records. Finally, the paper put forward some recommendations on using standard score in instructional supervision:keeping the stability of the supervision expert team, insurance of supervision times, carrying out classified supervision and viewing the scores in its entirety.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of inherent artery dorsal perforator flaps of thumb radial palmar for coverage of ipsilateral thumb degree Ⅰ and Ⅱ oblique defect of the fingertip. Methods The study included 6 males and 6 females, aged 10-40 years (mean 30 years),with thumb fingertip Ⅰ and Ⅱ degree defect treated between October 2009 and October 2013.Injury resulted from machinery cutting injury in 4 patients, machinery twist injury in 3,cutting by sharp weapons in 3,and crush injury in 2.There were 6 patients with Ⅰ degree defect and 6 patients with Ⅱ degree defect.Defects were all oblique involving more in the radial side rather than in the ulnar side and reconstructed with thumb radial palmar artery perforator flaps.Flap ranged in size from 1 cm × 2 cm to 1.5 cm × 2.5 cm.Donor site was covered with skin grafts.Observation indexes were wound healing condition, flap color, flap swelling degree, and flap temperature.Finger function was measured with upper extremity scoring system formulated by Hand Surgery Branch of Chinese Medical Association. Results All flaps survived and achieved good protective sensation.Wound healed primarily.Color, temperature and texture of the flap returned to almost normal.Moderate swelling of the flaps was detected and subsided around one week. All patients were followed up for 1-36 months (mean 20 months). At the final follow-up,two-point discrimination was 9-11 mm (mean 10 mm).Two patients developed distal interphalangeal joint stiffness and recovered after rehabilitation exercise.Finger function was rated as excellent in 10 cases and good in 2.Conclusion Inherent artery dorsal perforator flap of thumb radial palmar has affirmative effect and allows maximum preservation of finger length and function when applied to repair ipsilateral thumb degree Ⅰ and Ⅱ oblique defect of the fingertip.
