Objective Spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs)dissociated from 2～5 days postpartum mice were cultured on Sertoli cells feeders,to study the effect of Sertoli cells feeders on culture of mouse spermatogonial stem cells.Methods Specific markers CD9 of mouse SSCs cultured serum-free StemPro-34 SFM culture medium were identified by immunohistochemical assay.Result During the first week of culture,on Sertoli cells feeders or STO feeders,the biologica1 behaviors of spermatogonial stem cells showed no obvious difference.After a week of culture,compared with control,there were more number of spermatogonial stem cells remained when they were cultured for 60 days.These cells were expressed CD9 positive.In conclusion Sertoli cells can be used as feeders not only to promote survival but also renewal of spermatogonial stem cells.

Objective To reconstruct skin defects with local flaps after resection of tumors. Methods From October 2006 to December 2009, medial canthal defects in 15 patients were repaired with local flaps in the hospital. The size of the defects varied from 1 cm × 1 cm to 1.8 cm × 2.0 cm. According to the size and location of the defects, different local flaps such as glabellar flaps ,rotation flaps, advancement flaps, nasolabial flaps and combination of these local flaps were selected and designed to repair the skin defects. Results Of the 15 patients, 12 received the reconstruction of skin defects with single flap, the other 3 with two flaps; totally,18 local flaps were designed and applied. All the flaps survived with primary healing postoperatively. A followup in 11 patients for 6 to 12 months showed that the color and texture of flaps were similar to those of surrounding tissues and incision line scar was inconspicuous. Medial canthal contours were restored without distortion of surrounding structures. Satisfactory function and aesthetic outcomes were achieved. Conclusions In the repair of inner canthus skin defects, to maintain and restore the "cosmetic unit" integrity of inner canthus by using suitable local flaps would lead to a satisfying restoration of function and appearance.

Objective To discuss methods of decoration reconstruction for finger defect in emergency and to observe the elinical effects.Methods Of the 41 cases of finger injuries of different degrees,15 were repaired with part of the skin flaps of the big toenails or skin flaps of the second toenalis,8 were repaired with part of the skin flaps of the big toenails,7 were reeonstructed with the second tiptoes,11 were repaired with the abdominal skin flaps of the big toes or lateral flaps of the second toes.Results All the 41 fingers sur- vived.One skin flap of the big toe was somewhat swelling and a decorating operation was performed.The 4～18 months of follow-up visitation of the rest cases revealed good function and shapes.No obvious functional ab- norality was found in the donating feet.Conclusion Various kinds of decoration reeonstruetion for finger defects are available to recover the hand shape and function as much as possible.

Rice straw degradation with white rot fungi and cellulose multienzyme was studied. The results indicated that the LiP, MnP activity produced by P. chrysosoporium 172 could reach 28.3U/g and 12.6U/g respectively under suitable culture condition. And the lignin was degraded efficiently in contrast with the cellulose and hemicellulose in rice straw solid fermentation. Following treatment with white rot fungi, using multienzyme produced by A. niger NL-1 could greatly accelerate the decomposition of rice straw. The decomposition rate of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and the loss rate of dry material were 53.8%,57.8%,44.5% and 46.3% respectivity when hydrolysis rice straw 48h with cellulase multienzyme (including 3 IU /g rice straw) after culture P. chrysosoporium 172 for 10 days. Scanning electron microscope analysis showed the cell wall of rice straw was destroyed severely, and the whole tissue got loosely. These results demonstrated the rice straw had been decomposed efficiently and completely.

Background Stromal cell-derived factor-1_?(SDF-1_?)has been demonstrated to be essential for stern cell mobilization/homing.Recent evidence indicates that SDF-1_? has been expressed in injured carotid arter- ies.Besides,high SDF-1_? plasma levels are clinically associated with stable coronary artery disease.Objective To investigate whether SDF 1 involves in mobilization of endothelial progenitor cells(EPC)and reendothelialization after vascular injury.Methods SDF-1_? was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot in carotid arteries of mice at different time points after wire-induced injury.SDF-1_? determination in peripheral blood samples and BM was per- formed by SDF-1_? enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)kit.EPC in peripheral blood collected at different time points after vascular injury were quantified by flow cytornetry.In subgroup,blocking SDF-1 rnonoclonal anti- body was injected,peripheral blood EPC were quantified after vascular injury and reendothelialization of injured ar- teries was determined 14 days later.Results Expression of SDF-1_? was evident at day 1,and peaked at day 3 after arterial injury.A rise in plasmatic concentration of SDF-1_? and a significant reduction of SDF-1_? in bone marrow concentration was noticed at all time points following injury.The amount of circulating EPC was increased shortly after induction of vascular injury and persisted up to 7 days(P

Objective　To study the effect of epidermal growt h factor receptor(EGFR) on the development and progress of thymoma. Me thods Expression of EGFR was detected by immunohistochemical stain in t he tissues of 11 cases of normal thymus and 29 cases of thymoma. Result s　 The positive expression of EGFR was 75.9%(22/29) in thymomas and 18.2%(2/11) in normal thymus. The difference was significant(P<0.01). The positive rate of EGFR was higher in invasive thymomas than in non-invasive ones (P<0.01). T he positive rate of EGFR increased with Masaoka stage with a significant increm ent in Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage compared with I stage (P<0.01). EGFR was strongly expre ssed in 5 cases of invasive thymomas, in which recurrence or metastasis occurred in 3 during the follow-up period after operation. But there was no statistical correlation with whether complicated with myasthenia gravis (MG) and histolog ical type. Conclusion　EGFR might be related to the tumori genesis and development of thymoma. There is high risk of recurrence and metast asis in case of EGFR over-expression and radiotherapy, chemotherapy and follow up should be enhanced.

Objective To analyse the cement distribution after vertebroplasty and investigate the feasibility and clinical significance of its typing.Methods A retrospective case-series study examining the bone cement distribution on anteroposterior radiograph after vertebral augmentation was conducted on 1 324 patients (2 119 vertebrae) with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF) from May 2009 to May 2016.Among the patients,due to refracture,147 patients suffered two or more surgeries with a vertebral refracture rate of 11.1％.One or more adjacent vertebrae refracture occurred in 105 patients with the adjacent vertebrae refracture rate of 7.9％.The vertebral body was split into four regions on the basis of the central vertical and bilateral pedicle of vertical line.According to the bone cement distribution in the four regions,there were five distribution types:type Ⅰ:1-4 regions;type Ⅱ:2-3 regions;type Ⅲ:1 and 4 regions;type Ⅳ:3 and 4 or 1 and 2 regions;type Ⅴ:1 or 4 regions.The X-ray of 40 patients was randomly typed by three orthopedics physicians,and the complication rate and refracture rate of adjacent vertebrae in each type were calculated.Credibility and repeatability analysis were performed.Results The average credibility of the typing was 92.5％.The Kappa coefficient was 0.850 on average.The repeatability of two times of typing was on average 95％,and the Kappa coefficient was 0.900 on average.From type Ⅰ to Ⅴ,there were 26 cases (3.5％),16 cases (4.5％),29 cases (7.3％),40 cases (9.9％),and 41 cases (18.1％) of adjacent vertebral refracture.There were 10 cases of the same vertebral refracture and 5 cases of scoliosis deformity in the type Ⅴ,with incidence rates of 4.4％ and 2.2％,respectively.Conclusions Being reliable and repeatable,the typing for cement distribution after vertebral augmentation is simple and practicable.The type Ⅳ and Ⅴ cement distribution carries higher risk of refracture in adjacent or the same vertebral body and long-term scoliosis than others types.

OBJECTIVETo assess the efficacy and safety of recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO) on chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia in patients with solid tumor.

METHODSIn this randomized crossover self-controlled multi-center clinical trial, 154 patients with solid tumor were randomly divided into two groups (group A 77 cases and group B 77 cases). All patients were given the same two cycles of chemotherapy. In group A, the first cycle was treated cycle, in which patients were given rhTPO, while the second cycle was non-treated cycle as a control. In group B, the first cycle was non-treated cycle as a control, while the second cycle was treated cycle. RhTPO 1.0 microg/(kg x d) was administered subcutaneously 6-24 hours after chemotherapy for the longest 14 days. Laboratory tests included complete blood counts, urinalysis, serum chemistry, coagulant test, chest radiography, and electrocardiogram. Serum samples were screened for anti-rhTPO antibodies.

RESULTSIn both group A and group B, platelet decrease and duration had no significant difference between the treated cycle and non-treated cycle. Platelet count was higher in the treated cycle, than in the non-treated cycle: [minimal mean platelet count (64.4 +/- 45.4) x 10(9) cells/L and (52.4 +/- 30.9) x 10(9) cells/L (P=0.000), maximal mean platelet count (263.9 +/- 142.5) x 10(9) cells/L and (148.9 +/- 67.7) x 10(9) cells/L (P=0.000)]. Duration of thrombocytopenia was shorter in the treated cycle than in the non-treated cycle [days with platelet count < 50 x 10(9) cells/L, (2.5 +/- 3.9) and (3.7 +/- 5.7) (P=0.04); days with platelet count recovered > or = 75 x 10(9) cells/L, (10.3 +/- 8.7) and (14.0 +/- 8.9) (P=0.000), and days with platelet count recovered > or = 100 x 10(9) cells/L, (15.9 +/- 10.5) and (21.1 +/- 9.5) (P=0.000)]. The need for platelet transfusion was not significantly reduced in treated cycle. The effects of rhTPO on WBC, Hb, hepatic function, renal function, and coagulant function were not found. Transient low-titer non-neutralizing antibody was developed in one patient. Therapy with rhTPO was tolerated by all patients. Mild side effects were observed in individual patients, including fever, dizziness, and chill. Conclusion Administration of rhTPO after chemotherapy can significantly reduce the degree and duration of thrombocytopenia and promote platelet recovery. Therapy with rhTPO seems to be safe.

Authors raised that staging based strategies and practice of integrative medicine (IM) by combining syndrome typing and disease identification, and choosing suitable measures in accordance with different persons and seasonal conditions after more than ten years' clinical practice and researches. Radical operation as prior (as evil eliminating) and strengthening vital qi in perioerative period are best strategy for promoting rapid rehabilitation of early stage prostate cancer patients. Strengthening body resistance to eliminate evil was used in treating advanced prostate cancer patients. For example, a comprehensive treatment program for hormone-dependent patients was combined with endocrinotherapy and Chinese herbs for synergisic efficacy-enhancing actions. In this way, these patients' quality of life (QOL) were improved and time to castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) was delayed, even some patients were clinically cured. There are lack of effective medicines and methods for CRPC patients. Greatly tonifying original qi is mainly used for improving their clinical symptoms and prolonging survivals. Practice has proved staging based strategies and practice of IM has favorable advantages in treating prostate cancer, especially showing prospect in prolonging survival and postponing progression of advanced prostate cancer patients. Besides, it also could provide beneficial considerations and inspiration for combination of syndrome typing and disease identification.
