Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2017;16(1):39-44
Objective To evaluate the association between serum ferritin and the risk of cardiovascular disease among the Chinese population. Methods Based on the data from China Health and Nutrition Survey 2009, we used the Framingham risk score to calculate the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease and analyzed the association between serum ferritin and the risk of cardiovascular disease in different gender by logistic regression analysis. Results Among 6 551 respondents, 3 035 (46.3%) were males and 3 516 ( 53.7%) were females whose mean age were ( 49.3 ±13.8 ) and ( 49.2 ±13.7 ) years, respectively. The median level of serum ferritin was 75.08 ( 36.71 -138.75 )μg/L.According to the 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease calculated by the Framingham risk score , the low risk group, middle risk group and high risk group were accounted for 79.5%( n=5 207 ) , 15.7% ( n=1 028 ) and 4.8%( n=316), respectively. The median of serum ferritin (121.61 vs.46.14, P<0.01) and the Framingham risk score (8.6 ±6.0 vs.7.3 ±1.6, P<0.01) of males were higher than those of females. The percentages of the middle risk group ( 30.6% vs.2.8%) and high risk group ( 9.8% vs.0.5%) of 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease in males were higher than those in females ( P <0.01 ).The 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease ≥10%increased with the increasing of serum ferritin in females ( trend P<0.01 ) but not in males. Conclusion Serum ferritin levels are positively correlated with the risk of cardiovascular disease in female Chinese.
2.Analysis on Therapeutic Features of Ancient Acupuncture Treatment for Impotence
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2009;7(1):61-64
To analyze the acupuncture treatment for impotence in 130 kinds of classical medical books by computer, and summarize the rules of acupuncture for this disease. The results showed that selection of acupoints along the meridians, selection of acupoints by boay parts, selection ofacupoints by pattern identification are the laws ofacupuncture for this disease.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2007;5(1):61-4
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of salvianolic acid B (SA-B) on portal hypertension induced by endothelin-1 in rats. METHODS: Twenty-eight Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: ET-1 group, ET-1+SA-B group, ET-1+ET(A)R blocker (BQ-123) group and ET-1+ET(B)R blocker (BQ-788) group. The rats of ET-1+SA-B group underwent intragastrical administration of salvianolic acid B for five days before ET-1 injection, while in three other groups' drinking water was given. In BQ-123 group or BQ-788 group, an intravenous injection of BQ-123 or BQ-788 via femoral vein was administered 30 minutes prior to ET-1 injection. Then changes of portal pressure, cervical artery pressure and heart rate were monitored continuously. RESULTS: After ET-1 injection, the portal pressure of all rats in the ET-1 group increased significantly, while slightly in groups that pretreated with SA-B, BQ-123 or BQ-788. CONCLUSION: SA-B can attenuate the elevated portal pressure induced by ET-1 with effect similar to ETR blocker.

Objective To investigate the immune effect and the security after inoculating rabies vaccine in children. Methods To investigate and to detect the antibody level by the way of ELISA among the 337 children wounded by animals and vaccined the rabies vaccine. Results The positive rate of the antibody is 99.7%, the ad-verse effect is moderate. Conclusion Domestic adjuvant-free aqueous rabies vaccine, domestic freeze dried rabies vaccine and peregrinus freeze dried rabies vaccine all have satisfactory immunogenicity and little adverse effect.

Objective To investigate the distribution and chemical character of nestin immunoreactive cells in the human basal forebrain. Methods We explored systematically the distribution of nestin immunoreactive cells throughout the human basal forebrain by nestin 331B, 10C2, Rat401 antibody.Furthermore, we investigated the chemical identity of these nestin immunoreactive cells by using double\|labeling immunocytochemistry with NSE, ChAT, p75NGFR, GFAP antibody or using NADPH\|d histochemistry. Results The nestin immunoreactive cells were found in the septum, diagonal band of Broca, innominate substance, amygdala, basal nucleus of Meynert of adult human brain. These nestin immunoreactive cells haven big cell body,2\|3 processes. The nestin immunoreactive cells were labeled by NSE antibody. The large majority of those were single stained, and 28% were double labeled with ChAT positive neurons,15% with NGFR positive neurons,6% with NOS positive neurons.A few nestin immunoreactive cells shared similar morphology with that of astrocyte glia which existed in the spaces between the thin septa pellucida or the midline along the septum. It could not be labeled by GFAP antibody.Conclusion\ A new cluster of nestin immunoreactive neurons that were different from the ChAT,NGFR,NOS positive neurons existed in adult human basal forebrain.\;[

Objective To evaluate the value of clinical findings and different diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of adult onset Still's disease (AOSD). Methods The AOSD patients admitted to Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University from 2003 to 2009 were enrolled. Non-AOSD patients with fever were selected. Different diagnostic criteria of AOSD were applied to all patients. Two indenpendent samples t test and wilco-xon test were used for statistical analysis. Results The clinical features such as rash, arthralgia, arthroncus, sore throat, myalgia, lymph node enlargement, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, leuko-cytosis, neutrophil ≥80% and serum level of ferrin≥ 2000 ng/ml hadhigher specificity (65.87%~98.41%) with 2.00~5.00 of the positive likelihood ratio.High fever ( ≥39.0℃), negative of ANA and RF had higher sensi-tivity (85.25%~93.65%). Combinations of three parameters such as high fever, rash, sore throat, leukocy-tosis, arthralgia had higher positive likelihood ratio. The specificity of ARA criteria was the highest. The sensitivity and accuracy of Yamaguchi criteria were the highest. Conclusion There is no single parameter that could be specific to the identification of AOSD. Combing with several parameters can improve the diagnostic efficiency. The results of this study have shown that the commonly used diagnostic criteria has high specificity.
