BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE
Global health highlights the transnational determinants, issues, and possible solutions for improving health outcomes. Addressing global health issues requires population-based approaches coupled with individualized healthcare across settings, including strategies for achieving health equity. Designing and implementing global health solutions requires competent nurse leaders who can facilitate multi-disciplinary collaborations, engage in policy development, and lead advocacies that support the global health agenda. Thus, this paper examined the stakeholder perspectives that informed the development of a leadership program on global health for nurse leaders in the Western Pacific Region (WPR).
METHODSThe study used a descriptive qualitative approach to generate key recommendations for a context-appropriate, multi-country capacity-building program for nurse leaders on global health. The Analysis Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model and reflexive approach were employed to guide the development of the training design. Twenty-five nurse leaders from World Health Organization Collaborating Centers (WHO-CC) in the Western Pacific participated. Qualitative data were collected from participant feedback and post-activity sessions throughout program implementation.
RESULTSThematic analysis of stakeholder data revealed that the program (1) capitalized on equipping nurse leaders with the concepts related to global health and developing competencies in leadership, policy engagement, and advocacy; (2) ensured learning strategies by having participants from varied contexts and experiences; and (3) reflected on the strengths and limitations of the use of the online platform.
CONCLUSIONThis paper contributed to the growing literature on global health and programs that support addressing global health issues. The findings underscored the urgent need to capacitate nurses in leadership positions who contribute to addressing emerging issues in global health. The paper recommended improvements in the design and implementation of the Global Health Nursing Leadership Program to engage more nurse leaders across the region and enhance content and delivery.

Under the background of globalization, public health issues are becoming more and more complicated. In the international arena, global health has gradually replaced international health and "global public health" as one of the dominant terms in the field of public health. However, until now, there is no unified understanding and definition for the concept of global health domestically and internationally. In this article, various foreign experts 'views and domestic experts' opinions about the concept of global health are collected and solicited, in order to generalize appropriate Chinese definition of global health of China.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2022;56(2):218-221
The World Health Organization (WHO) released the global strategy report on digital health (2020-2025) in Geneva in 2019, which established the priority of the digital health strategy and formulated strategic objectives, guiding principles, action framework and implementation plans to promote the development of global digital health, and to achieve universal health coverage and the health-related sustainable development goals. Despite China's rapid development in the field of digital health, there is still a big gap between the realization of the goal of digital health. Therefore, it is urgent to grasp the major historical opportunity and step into a new era of digital health with the support of digital technology platform.

9.Smartphone Addiction.
Korean Journal of Medicine 2016;91(3):245-249
Smartphones have significantly changed our lives and become a digital lifestyle hub. However, uncontrolled smartphone usage has created a new issue in global health, including a range of mental health concerns. Previous studies have proposed that excess use of a smartphone that interferes with daily life should be called “smartphone addiction”, which has similar core features to substance-related disorders (substance addiction) and known behavioral addictions. The aim of this review was to add to our understanding of smartphone addiction by presenting an overview of the research field.

10.Recognition of the Concept of Publicness in Healthcare: a Content Analysis of Korean Newspapers.

Journal of Korean Medical Science 2017;32(3):393-400
The traditional boundaries between public and private sectors has been blurred, and questions raised regarding how publicness could be conceptualized. The empirical study on the concept of publicness can reveal greatly diversified views on publicness, and help to reduce confusion over publicness. For the content analysis, 750 news articles of 8 national Korean newspapers were retrieved from the Korea Integrated News Database System. The articles were coded by the inductive category for the topic of the paragraph, the concept related to publicness, and the overall tone toward publicness. Publicness was addressed in a number of different issues, and diverse and specific statuses or actions were associated with the realization of publicness. The most frequent concept was “government,” which represented the main agent of healthcare provision and the owner of institutions for “the vulnerable.” Issues of industrialization of healthcare/healthcare industry and reform of the national healthcare system mentioned publicness in a normative sense, which laid stress on “not-for-profit” service and the right of “universal access” to service for publicness. Articles of health/disease information or global health regarded “the population/public” as the main targets or beneficiaries of healthcare services. Occasionally, publicness was not related to specific concepts, being used unclearly or as a routine. The fulfillment of the specific actions or status may lead to the enhancement of publicness. However, publicness itself could not be reduced to the specific concepts suggested. The use of publicness in healthcare delivered only its normative sense without substantive meaning.
