1.Social functioning status of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(5):444-444

Objective To investigate the effect of health education on motor function in hemiplegia after stroke. Methods 105 stroke patients were divided into treatment group (53 cases)and control group(52 cases). The patients in both groups received the similar rehabilitation and medicines, and the patients in the treatment group also accepted the health education. They were assessed with the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and modified Barthel index (MBI). Results The scores of FMA and MBI in the both groups were improved after treatment(P<0.001), and the result of the treatment group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Health education can improve the recovery of motor function and activity of daily living in patients with hemiplegia by knowing more about the disease.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(11):1021-1023
Objective To observe the effect of community-based rehabilitation stroke unit on the function of stroke patients. Methods 94 patients with stroke were divided into intervention group (n=47) and control group (n=47). The control group accepted routine community home care, while the intervention group accepted community-based rehabilitation stroke unit care. They were assessed with modified Barthel index (MBI), simple Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS) before and after intervention. Results There was not significant difference between the groups in scores of MBI, FMA and SDSS (P>0.05) before intervention. All the scores improved significantly in both groups (P<0.01) 3 months after intervention, and improved more in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Community-based rehabilitation stroke unit can improve the functional recovery of stroke patients.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2013;19(2):161-163
Objective To observe the effect of motor imagery on unilateral spatial neglect (USN) in stroke patients. Methods 40 stroke patients with USN were divided into treatment group (n=20) and control group (n=20). Both groups received routine physical therapy training, while the treatment group received motor imagery in addition. All the patients were assessed with Chinese Behavioral Inattention Test (CBIT), Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE), Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and modified Barthel index (MBI) before and 8 weeks after treatment. Results The scores of CBIT, MMSE, FMA and MBI were better in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Motor imagery combined with routine physical treatment can improve the function of stroke patients with USN and their activities of daily living.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(9):758-758
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of early hyperbaric oxygen therapy on function recovery in spinal cord injury(SCI)patients.Methods216 SCI patients were randomly divided into early hyperbaric oxygen therapy group(E, 108 cases)and late hyperbaric oxygen therapy group(L, 108 cases). The patients in both groups received the similar rehabilitation and medicine treatment. The effects were assessd by the American Spine Injury Association(ASIA)and modified Barthel index(MBI).ResultsThere was no difference between two groups before treatment, and the scores improved significantly after treatment, but the scores of the group E was significantly higher than that of the group L. ConclusionHyperbaric oxygen therapy can facilitate the function recovery, and it is better to interfere early.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(2):141-142
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical characteristics of post-stroke depression (PSD) and correlative factors.Methods116 patients with PSD were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=69) and control group (n=47). The patients of the treatment group were treated with selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRI) 20 mg/d and combined with psychological counselling, those of the control group only with SSRI. All patients were examined with Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) when admission and one month after treatment.ResultsAfter treatment, the SDS scores of all patients in two groups decreased ( P<0.05~0.01), but the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group ( P<0.05).ConclusionThe PSD is correlated with psych-social circumstances except body disease.

Talents are the main force for the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), and the construction of TCM talents and the reformation of talent evaluation system are essential to promote the inheritance and innovation of TCM. At present, we are still exploring and developing in the fields of the formulation, implementation and evaluation indicators of TCM talent evaluation system. However, there are shortcomings and difficulties. For instance, insufficient stratification in the evaluation, excessive emphasis on the quantity of achievements, neglecting the quality of the achievements and the actual contribution, imperfect assessment indicators, and the weak characteristics of TCM. Therefore, national ministries and commissions have jointly issued a document requesting to break the four only and set a new standard, in order to promote the construction of a scientific and technological talent evaluation system oriented by innovation value, ability and contribution. For the evaluation of TCM clinical talents, China Association for Science and Technology commissioned China Association of Chinese Medicine to build the China Clinical Cases Library of TCM(CCCL-TCM), which aims at collecting the most authoritative and representative TCM clinical cases and exploring the advantages of applying clinical cases as masterpiece of achievement in TCM clinical talents evaluation. CCCL-TCM can promote the construction of a talent evaluation system that is more in line with the development characteristics of TCM industry, and to carry out relevant pilot in TCM colleges and institutions across the country in order to promote the reformation of TCM talent evaluation system.
