Objective To investigate the incidence of postoperative hepatic metastasis, clinicolpathological characteristics and the prognosis for pancreatic cancer. Methods Totally 83 cases with pancreatic cancer admitted in our hospital during January 2007 to September 2012 was retro?spectively analyzed according to clinicolpathological data. Results Postoperative liver metastasis occurred in 31 cases with a metastatic rate of 37.3%. The size(χ2=9.606;P=0.002),vascular invasion(χ2=4.794,P=0.029)and UICC stage(χ2=5.318,P=0.021)were correlated with he?patic metastasis. Univariate analysis revealed the poor prognosis in pancreatic cancer patient with hepatic metastasis(χ2=9.967,P=0.002). Cox re?gression analysis revealed hepatic metastasis as an independent prognostic factor(P=0.001). Conclusion Pancreatic cancer has a high possibility of hepatic metastasis. Postoperative hepatic metastasis was one of the independent factors for the prognosis of pancreatic cancer. Tumor size, vascular invasion and UICC stages were risk factors for postoperative liver metastasis of pancreatic cancer.

The present study aims to predict the action targets of antidepressant active ingredients of Xiaoyaosan to understand the "multi-components, multi-targets and multi-pathways" mechanism. Using network pharmacology, the reported antidepressant active ingredients in Xiaoyaosan (saikosaponin A, saikosaponin C, saikosaponin D, ferulic acid, Z-ligustilide, atractylenolide I, atractylenolide II, atractylenolide III, paeoniflorin, albiflorin, liquiritin, glycyrrhizic acid and pachymic acid), were used to predict the targets of main active ingredients of Xiaoyaosan according to reversed pharmacophore matching method. The prediction was made via screening of the antidepressive drug targets approved by FDA in the DrugBank database and annotating the information of targets with the aid of MAS 3.0 biological molecular function software. The Cytoscape software was used to construct the Xiaoyaosan ingredients-targets-pathways network. The network analysis indicates that the active ingredients in Xiaoyaosan involve 25 targets in the energy metabolism-immune-signal transmutation relevant biological processes. The antidepressant effect of Xiaoyaosan reflects the features of traditional Chinese medicine in multi-components, multi-targets and multi-pathways. This research provides a scientific basis for elucidation of the antidepressant pharmacological mechanism of Xiaoyaosan.

Objective To explore the relationship between X - linked spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDL) gene escaping X chromosome inactivation( XCI) and SEDL phenotype. Methods RT - PCR was performed on total RNA which was isolated from blood samples of patients, female carriers and controls. Patients and female carriers were selected from the pedigree with SEDL caused by the mutation (IVS2 - 2A→C) of the gene. cDNA was analyzed by polyacrylamide gelelectrophoresis(PAGE). Results PAGE data indicateed that female carriers expressed both normal and mutant SEDL mRNA,meaning the SEDL gene escaping XCI. Family investigation showed carrier females in the SEDL pedigree presented no symptoms. Conclusions The SEDL gene escaping X chromosome in-activation is firstly identified from human body. This may explain that carrier females present no symptoms.

Objective To introduce the technique and experience in reconstruction of posterior crueiate ligament-posterolateral comer(PCL-PLC)injuries with only one allograft of Achilles tendon. Methods The instable knees in 12 cases with PCL injury combined with three degree chronic PLC injury were treated with PCL reconstruction under arthroscope and PLC reconstruction through posterolateral arc incision.Single bundle grafts of PCL reconstructions in tibial and femoral tunnels were fixed by resorption screws.Fibular collateral ligament(FCL)and popliteofibular ligament(PFL)were reconstructed with reforming Larson(?)method. All reconstruction grafts only needed one Achilles tendon as donator.Total op- eration time was 130 minutes including 90 minutes of PCL reconstruction and 40 minutes of PLC recon- struction.Gradual weight loading was allowed after six weeks of bracing. Results Follow-up for mean 12 months(5-24 months)indicated that tibial“step off”reduction was 83%(10/12)and posterior drawer test of 0-1~+ 75%(9/12).Dial sign evaluated that normal external rotation angle was 75%(8/12).Nor- real varus stress test at 30?knee flexion accounted for 83%(10/12).Scores of Lysholm,Tegner and HSS were 90.5,5.1 and 84.5,respectively(P<0.01=.Conclusion Synchronized reconstruction of PCL and PLC injuries with only one Achilles tendon can obtain satisfactory clinical result, with less expense and shorter operation time.

Objective To further understand the diagnosis, clinical features and prognosis of myeloid neoplasms with erythroblast more than 50% of bone marrow(BM) nucleated cells in the WHO Classification(2016) by analyzing the clinical data, diagnosis and prognosis of 3 patients with myeloid leukemia. Methods The ages, medical histories, symptoms and signs, and laboratory examinations from 3 patients with myeloid neoplasms whose erythroblast cells were more than 50% of BM nucleated cells when newly diagnosed were collected. Then, they were diagnosed with the WHO Classification criteria(2008) and the WHO Classification criteria(2016),respectively,and their prognosis was evaluated with the revised International Prognostic Scoring System(IPSS-R).Results According to the WHO Classification criteria(2008),all of 3 patients were diagnosed as acute erythroid leukemia(AEL).However, according to the WHO Classification criteria(2016),2 patients were diagnosed as myelodysplastic syndrome with excess blasts-2(MDS-EB-2),and 1 was diagnosed as acute myeloid leukemia(AML) with maturation. Moreover, their prognostic scores were also different. The former two patients were older men with significant dysplasia and complex genetic abnormalities, and had poor prognosis, while the latter was a middle-aged woman with no obvious dysplasia and genetic abnormalities, and had medium prognosis. Conclusion The WHO Classification(2016) is more reasonable than the WHO Classification(2008),which tends to focus more on the different biological characteristics of diseases, and may better distinguish two types of diseases with different clinical features and prognosis.
