Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;58(17):1469-1472
The authors analyze the theory of four-season health-preserving in Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor 《黄帝内经》).Combined with the unique natural climatic condition and the physical characteristics of population in the Lingnan area (the area south of the Five Ridges),the health-preserving concepts of local people and local famous Chinese medical physicians are explained from four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The four-season health-preserving concept in Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor has important guiding significance on the health care of people in Lingnan area.

Objective To investigate the effect of cognitive behavior therapy combined with drug treatment of adolescent obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD) and the effect on quality of life.Method Yale Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) and quality of life in children and adolescents scale (QLSCA) were used to assess the curative effect and quality of life for 123 adolescents with OCD on the psychological clinic in hospital.t test and one way-ANOVA test were used to analyze the data. Results The effective rate of drug treatment group was 64.52% after 12 weeks and combined treatment group was 80.33%.The effective rate of drug treatment group was 77.42% after 24 weeks and combined treatment group was 91.8%.There was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).Two groups before and after treatment had significant difference (P < 0.01).There was significant difference between the two groups after 12 weeks (P< 0.01) and 24 weeks (P < 0.05).After 24 weeks of treatment, two groups of patients in the overall evaluation of the quality of life and negative ernotion had significant differences (P < 0.05) and in self satisfaction, peer relationship, learning ability and attitude had significant differences (P < 0.01).Conclusion Combination therapy is better than simple drug treatment, and improves the quality of life better.

Purpose: To study the function of surrounding acupuncture located by cranial MRI on apoplexy. Method: Forty cases of the patients diagnosed as cerebral infarction were divided into the group of surrounding acupuncture by MRI location and the group of traditional scalp acupuncture, 20 cases in each group, and were treated respectively with surrounding acupunc -ture by MRI location and traditional scalp acupuncture,to determine the indexes of blood rheology before and after treatments. Results: There was significant diffe -fence (P<0.01) in comparison of various indexes in blood rheology between the apoplectic patients and healthy adults of same age. In comparison before and after the treatments in the group of surrounding acupunc -ture by MRI location there was significant difference (P<0.01) in various indexes of blood rheology, except ESR and ESR equation K value. In comparison before and after the treatments in the group of traditional scalp acupuncture, there was significant difference (P<0.05) in various indexes of blood rheology, except ESR, sclerosis index and ESR equation K value. Conclusion: The findings indicate that blood becomes thick and flows slowly and resistance increases in blood flow in the apoplectic patients. The two kinds of the needling techniques have an improving function in various indexes of blood rheology in the apoplectic patients and surrounding acupuncture by MRI location was better than traditional scalp acupuncture in improving blood rheology.

Objective To observe the clinical effects and safety of scalp-body acupuncture and spine-manipulation therapy on preventively treating cervical cancer patients with postoperative urinary retention. Methods A total of 160 cases of cervical cancer patients with postoperative urinary retention were randomized into treatment group and control group, 80 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional western medical treatment including preoperative indwelling of urethral catheter, clamping of urethral catheter 5 d after operation and release of the urine every 2-3 h, and trying to remove the urethral catheter 10-12 d after operation. Additionally, the treatment group received scalp acupuncture in the foot motor sensory area, body acupuncture of bilateral Shenshu (BL23) , Pangguangshu (BL28) , Ciliao (BL32) acupoints, and spine-manipulation therapy 5 d after operation. The clinical outcomes covered the incidence of urinary retention, residual urine volume, reset rate of catheter, and the clinical effect and safety in the two groups were evaluated. Results ( 1) The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group, and then the difference was significant (P<0.05). (2) After treatment, the incidence of urinary retention, residual urine volume, reset rate of catheter and average hospitalization days were less in the treatment group than those in the control group, the differences being significant ( P<0.05). ( 3) There was no adverse reaction during the treatment course. Conclusion Scalp acupuncture in the foot motor sensory area combined with body acupuncture and spine-manipulation therapy can promote the recovery of micturation function, and have satisfactory clinical effect and high safety in preventively treating cervical cancer with postoperative urinary retention.

Molecular simulation was used to study the interaction between template molecule and functional monomer to shorten the optimization time for the functional monomer and the ratio of functional monomer and template molecule.Kaempferol molecularly imprinted polymerization (MIP) monolithic column was therefore synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain-transfer (RAFT) polymerization with dibenzyltrithiocarbonate (DBTTC) and ethyleneglycoldim ethacrylate (EDMA) as RAFT and cross-linking agent, respectively, whereas methacrylic acid (MAA) was the optimal functional monomer with the molar ratio of kaempferol/MAA of 1∶4 from molecular simulation results. The results indicate that molecular simulation is useful to simplify the experimental procedure, and DBTTC as RAFT agent can provide more adjustable and better MIP monolithic column.

Objective To investigate the clinical results of selective decompression and short-segment fusion with fixation for symptomatic degenerative lumbar stenosis combined with lumbar scoliosis. Methods All of 30 patients from Jul.2008 to Oct.2013 were recruited for this retrospective study. There were 11 males and 19 females, whose mean age was 60.3±12.7 years. The preoperative X-ray of the total spine showed the mean Cobb's angle was 24.3°±8.8°.And the mean lumbar lordosis angle was 30.5°±15.5°.Pain and function were assessed by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Oswestry dsability index (ODI).The responsible segments were determined from physical examination and radiological findings.Selective decompression and short-segment fixation and fusion were performed. The radiographic parameters,ODI,VAS of pre-operation and post-operation were recorded and compared. Results All the patients were followed up for 21-73 months with mean 46.0±10.9 months. The complication incidence was 33.3%.The ODI and VAS assessment was significantly improved during the follow-up,as well as the sagittal and coronal radiographic parameters (LL,SS,PT,SVA,Cobb's angle,C7PL-CSVL).The improvement of VAS and ODI of lumbar spine was significant correlated with sagittal parameters (LL,PT),whilst not correlated with coronal parameters. Conclusion The surgical strategy of selective decompression and short-segment fusion with fixation is effective for the patients with symptomatic degenerative lumbar stenosis combined with lumbar scoliosis.
