1.Hyperalgesia induced by Remifentanil
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;(z1):238-241
The use of opioids is proved to be associated with opioid-induced hyperalgesia(OIH), which is defined as an abnormal sense of pain characterized by a decrease in pain threshold and hypersensi-tivity to normal stimulus. There is an increasing number of studies based on the mechanisms, mainly about central glutaminergic system, spinal dynorphins and descending facilitation. The article summarized the mechanisms of OIH,suggested dose of remifentanil inducing OIH as well as major protective measures.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 1998;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the in vitro effect of multi glycosidorum triptery (MGT) on cytokine production by splenocytes of oxazolone (OXZ) induced colitis in murine model. Methods Six mg of OXZ (in 50% of ethanol) was administered in male SJL/J mice intrarectally to induce colitis and mice were sacrificed 3 days later. Isolated splenocytes were cultured for 24 hours in the presence of PMA and ionomycin, MGT of 0.1 mg/ml or 0.01 mg/ml was added to the culture medium of splenocytes. Production of IFN ? and interleukin 4 (IL 4) in the supernatant was measured by ELISA. Results The production of IFN ? was suppressed by both 0.01 mg/ml and 0.1 mg/ml of MGT [normal control ( 1.24 ? 0.13 ) pg/ml→(0.97?0.26) pg/ml→(0.87?0.18) pg/ml, P

Ligusticum Chuanxiong,a traditional Chinese medicine, has the functions of promoting Qi flow and blood, dispelling pathogenic wind and relieving pain. One of effective constituents extracting from Chuanxiong is tetramethylpyrazine, which has several pharmacological activities and anti-tumor function through inhibiting expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Recent relative studies provided scientific basis for a better application oftetramethylpyrazine clinically.

Intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis is one of the important causes of ischemic stroke. It is of vital importance to guide clinical treatment using imaging methods to diagnose intracranial artery stenosis and accurately assess the degree of stenosis. This article reviews the advantages and shortcomings, advances and clinical application values of diagnosing intracranial artery stenosis using transcranial Doppler ultrasound, transcranial color-coded duplex sonography, intravascular ultrasound, magnetic resonance angiography, computed tomography angiography, and digital subtract angiography, which will provide references for clinicians to select ideal checking tools.

Objective To study the protective role against cisplatin-induced ototoxicity by using radix astra-gali in rats. Methods Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups. Group A received saline as controls. Group B received radix astragali. Group C received injection of cisplatin(4 mg/kg) as experiments for 6 days. Group D received both radix astragali (5 g/kg) and cisplatin (4 mg/kg). Distortion product acoustic emission (DPOAE) was applied to each rat before and 7 days after cisplatin injection. All the animals were sacrificed on the 7th day. Half of the cochleas were observed by frozen section and the apoptosis of hair cells was detected by TUNEL meth-od. Scanning electron microscopy was utilized to evaluate the cochlear morphology of the other rats. Results The DPOAE amplitudes of Group C decreased significantly compared to the group A and group B(P<0.01). The dam-age and apoptosis of hair cells were noted in the group C and group D, while the hair cells of group A and group B showed no sign of apoptosis or damage. Compare to experimental group , the DPOAE amplitudes of group D were higher, and the damage and apoptosis of hair cells were significantly lower(P<0.05). Conclusion This study sug-gests that radix astragali can effectively reduce cisp[atin ototoxicity.
8.Arthroscopic treatment of discoid meniscus injury
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2004;0(11):-
Objective To observe the effect of arthroscopic meniscectomy to tr eat discoid lateral meniscus tear. Methods From July 1999 to June 2003, arthrosc opic meniscectomy was conducted for 49 menisci of 45 patients with discoid later al meniscus tear. 41 patients had unilateral injury, and 4 bilateral. 32 knees w ere complete injury and 17 incomplete. The discoid lateral meniscus tear account ed for nearly one third of the patients with meniscus tear who received arthrosc opic meniscectomy at the same time. Arthroscopic partial meniscectomy was done f or 44 knees, total meniscectomy for 5 knees and meniscus suture for 3 knees. Aft er operation the rehabilitation training programs, including straight-leg-rais ing exercise and range-of-motion exercise, were carried out. Results The opera tions for the 45 cases were successful and there was no complication. 40 patient s were followed up. Before operation, the mean Lysholm -Ⅱscore was 55 points ( 40 to 71 points). After a mean follow-up period of 39 months, the mean Lysholm -Ⅱscore was 88 points (60 to 100 points). The excellent and good results were obtained in 85.3%of the patients. Conclusions Arthroscopic meniscectomy should be a preferred method for discoid lateral menisci tear, due to its minimal invas ion, possibility of early mobilization, a lower complication rate, and preservat ion of more meniscus structure and function. If the operation is combined with s tandard rehabilitation training, the effects can be enhanced.

[Objective]To observe the proliferation and plasticity of neural stem cells in sim in adult rats after spinal cord injury.[Method]Spinal cord injury models were made in 60 wistar rats and the dynamic expression of bromodeoxyuridine(BrDU) and polysialylated ependymal cells adhesion molecule(PSA-NCAM) were determined by immuno-histochemisty.[Result]Compared with the controls, the number of Brdupositive cells in the injured spinal cord increased strikingly on the 1 st day (P

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of hysteroscopy in comparison with hysteros- alpingography(HSG) in the detection of intrauterine abnormalities in infertile patients. Methods 52 patients(ob- serving group) with filling defects under HSG received hysteroscopy, and the remaining 22 patients (contrasting group) with normal hysterosalpingographic findings also received hysteroscopy with their consent. Results In- trauterine abnormalities in observing group and contrasting group confirmed by hysteroscopy were 78.8 % and 9.1% respectively, and there was statistical significance(P
