Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine 2017;32(4):402-408,418
Objective:To explore the language deficits in a single case of posterior aphasic to test the dual-system model of language processing and provide neurolinguistic basis for clinical language therapy.Method:A circumscribed posterior aphasic was selected, whose language data were collected through spontaneous talk,WAB test, and other language production tasks including picture-naming and sentence repetition. The language data were analyzed with the emphasis on syntax-lexicon dissociation and noun-verb dissociation.Result:For the posterior aphasic, lexicon was severely impaired while syntax was preserved relatively well;in comparison to lexical production, lexical comprehension was preserved better;noun-verb dissociation, especially NSD,was discovered. Conclusion:The syntax-lexicon dissociation and the relevant noun-verb dissociation can serve as powerful evidence for the dual-system model of language processing, and throw light on language therapy for posterior aphasics.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2008;30(6):423,425-
Academe hash't got the same view about science attribute of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)up to now. This article demonstrates the scientific attribute of the traditional Chinese medicine from the nature of science, the seientific attribute of medical science and the relationship between the traditional Chinese medicine and medical science.TCM needs development. In order to develop the traditional Chinese medicine quickly,on the basis of inheriting tradition,we should make the best use of modem scientific technology. Not simply copy the theories and methods of western medicine but using the scientific measurement to build up the measurement of TCM symptoms, the relationship between symptoms and the change of the body, explore the process of physiology and pathology, and combine with western medicine to develop a mature science-medical science.
6.Discussion on Symptoms Measurement of Traditional Chinese Medicine

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(3):216-217
The realization of symptom measurement of the traditional Chinese medicine is a must for the development of traditional Chinese medicine, which obtained a common acceptation academically. This article believed the methods for realizing symptom measurement are the combination of both TCM two basic theories of "the wholism conception" and "treatment based on syndrome differentiation" and modern scientific measures and methods. Meanwhile, the western medicine should be simply excluded, other than simply compare a TCM syndrome to a physiological and biochemical indicator of western medicine.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(22):3044-3047
OBJECTIVE:To study the regulatory effect of lentinan (LTN) on immune function in ulcerative colitis (UC) rats and its mechanism. METHODS:64 SD rats were randomly divided into normal group(12 rats)and modeling group(52 rats). UC model was induced in modeling group by a compound method of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene(DNCB)acetone and 2,4-DNCB etha-nol. After modeling, rats were randomly divided into model group, positive group (sulfasalazine tablet, 300 mg/kg), LTN low-dose,medium-dose and high-dose groups(0.2,0.4,0.8 mg/kg),with 10 rats in each group. Treatment groups were given rele-vant medicine intragastrically, and normal group and model group were given normal saline intragastrically, once a day,for consec-utive 15 d. The levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+in peripheral blood lymphocytes(PBMC)and the levels of TNF-α,IL-2,IL-4 and IL-10 in colon were all determined, and the pathological changes of colon tissue were observed. RESULTS:Compared with normal group, the levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,the ratio of CD4+/CD8+,and the levels of IL-4 and IL-10 decreased significantly, while the levels of TNF-α and IL-2 in colon tissue significantly increased(P<0.05);obvious ulcerative lesion was observed in colon tissue (concentrated in grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ). Compared with model group, the levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,the ratio of CD4+/CD8+,and the levels of IL-4,IL-10 increased significantly, while the levels of TNF-α,IL-2 in colon tissue significantly decreased (P<0.05);the inflammation of colon tissue was significantly reduced, and the ulcer formation was significantly improved. CONCLUSIONS:LTN has a certain improvement effect on UC model rats, and its mechanism may be related to enhancing the immune function.

In the view of physiology, sleep can be described as an important modulatory factor for hormone release, glucose regulation, and cardiovascular function. The circadian rhythms of hormones is mainly associated with sleep, which is largely mediated by neuroendocrine system.Sleep deprivation will disrupt this rhythm, leading to a series of metabolic diseases. We published an article in 《J Clin Endocrinol Metab》 titled Association between sleep duration, daytime nap duration, and osteoporosis varies by sex, menopause, and sleep quality, which suggested that sleep durations of 7-8 h/day,9-10 h/day,and ≥ 10 h/day,as well as longer daytime napping times, tend to present higher risks of having osteoporosis, and this tendency is especially obvious in postmenopausal women reporting good quality sleep.

A simulated practicing physician test for trainees of clinical speciality could be important for increasing the rate of passing the real examination. In the past three years,we had investigated the rates of passing practicing physician examination from the several top first-class hospitals, and summarized the experience about the practicing physician examination of ours. Then,we had took an initial practice in simulated practicing physician examination for five-year-program and seven-year-program medical students, and got some achievements.
10. Expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF in rhabdomyosarcoma and their clinical significance
Tumor 2012;32(8):634-638
Objective: To investigate the expressions of HIF-1α (hypoxia inducible factor-1α) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) in rhabdomyosarcoma and their clinical significance. Methods: The expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF preteins in 70 cases of rhabdomyosarcoma were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the correlations of the expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF with the clinicopathological characteristics and the prognosis were analyzed. Results: The positive-expression rates of HIF-1α and VEGF in rhabdomyosarcoma tissues were 75.7% (53/70) and 72.9% (51/70), respectively. HIF-1α expression was positively correlated to VEGF expression (r = 0.554, P = 0.000). HIF-1α expression was significantly associated with the factors of gender (P = 0.035), tumor size (P = 0.016) and clinical staging (P = 0.008), but it was not associated with the age (P = 0.555), pathological type (P = 0.625) and lymph node metastasis (P = 0.750). The three-year overall survival rates of HIF-1α-negative patients and HIF-1α-positive patients were 54.5% and 38.0%, respectively (P = 0.045). VEGF expression was significantly associated with clinical stage (P = 0.026), but it was not associated with the age (P = 0.478), gender (P = 0.944), tumor size (P = 0.535), pathological type (P = 0.399) and lymph node metastasis (P = 0.356). The three-year overall survival rates of VEGF-negative patients and VEGF-positive patients were 68.1% and 31.1% (P = 0.011). COX regression model showed that the factors of VEGF expression (P = 0.005), clinical staging (P = 0.004) and tumor size (P = 0.000) were independent predictors of poor prognosis of rhabdomyosarcoma. HIF-1α could not be considered as an independent prognostic factor of rhabdomyosarcoma (P = 0.845). Conclusion: The overexpression of HIF-1α and VEGF in rhabdomyosarcoma is related to clinical staging. HIF-1α expression is associated with VEGF expression, and VEGF is an independent predictor of poor prognosis of rhabdomyosarcoma. Copyright © 2012 by TUMOR.
