1.The Differences of CT Appearance in Single Vertebral Tuberculosis and Metastasis
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the morphological difference of spinal single vertebral tuberculosis and metastasis by means of CT.Methods CT features of 16 cases of single vertebral tuberculosis and 17 cases of single vertebral metastasis which were proven by clinically and/or pathology, were retrospectively analyzed, and then the CT differential criteria of the two categories of diseases was recommended. Results The reliable CT findings for vertebral tuberculosis were as follows: involvement of anteriomedial potion of vatebral body, presence of sequstra in lesion ,marginal sclerosis in the edge of lesion, calcification within paravertebralmass or abscesses ,only edge enhancement of more of paravertebralmass.Metastasis was characterized by involvement of posteriomedial portion of vertebral bone, absence of sequestra within lesion ,no calcification within paravertebralmass. Both of them had normal intervertebral disc. Conclusion The different CT features of the single vertebral tuberculosis and metastasis are helpful in differerntiating diagnosis ,the morphological change of intervertebral discs is not helpful in differerntiating diagnosis .
2.The development of the research in the bodysurf ace mapping area
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2001;24(2):64-70
Body surface mapping is introduced in this paper. The research of bodysurface mapping involves two main aspects :data acquiring system and data processing methods. The recommended design applies the virtual instruments concept and high speed open bus standard. The data processing methods involve qualitative and quantitative methods. Dynamic and static mapping techniques are introduced as the qualitative methods. Statistical methods, inverse calculation and principle component analysis are introduced as the quantitative methods.
3.THE STUDY OF PATHOGENIC BACTERIA AND WHOLE CELL VACCINE ON SPARUS LATUS VIBRIO DISEASE
Microbiology 1992;0(02):-
Physiological and biochemical characteristics, drug sensitivity of pathogenic bacteria isolated from the diseased Sparus latus in Zhanjiang,Guangdong, and inactivated whole cell vaccine were studied. The results show that the isolated strain is Vibrio alginolyticus and is highly sensitive to tetracycline, gentamycin, chloramphenicol, and so on.But it is not sensitive to erythromycin and penicillin K.It also shows that the pathogen is inactivated more easily at pH6.0 than at pH8.4 when formalin is used. The whole cell vaccine can strengthen Sparus latus's immuno function and lessen their death rate when fish are infected by the Vibrio alginolyticus.

Objective To discuss the clinical value of intercostal arterial embolization for the treatment of hemoptysis. Methods A total of 91 patients with hemoptysis were enrolled in this study.Intercostal arterial embolization was performed using gelatin sponge. The patients were closely observed after the operation. For recurrent cases,re-embolization was carried out after identifying the causes of relapse. Results A total of 111 operations were performed on the 91 patients, including embolization of the bronchial and intercostal arteries in 74 cases, and simple embolization of the intercostal artery in 17.The rate of immediate hemostasis was 98.9%(90/91).The patients were followed up for 8 to 14 months, during which the recurrent rate was 15.4%(14/91).No serious complication occurred during the follow-up.Conclusion By embolizing both bronchial and intercostal arteries, the efficacy of the procedure can be increased and the rate the recurrence decreased,as long as proper measures have been taken to avoid serious complications.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty(PTA)using ? 30 mm balloon catheter to dilate the obstructive lesion of inferior vena cava(IVC)in Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS). Methods From January 2002 to July 2006,146 consecutive patients with BCS(94 men,52 women)underwent color Doppler sonography including enhanced multislice CT(n = 47),and were confirmed by IVC angiography. All patients but 1 microsomia case were treated by PTA using ? 30 mm balloon catheter for dilation. IVC angiography were immediately performed to show patency of IVC and occurrence of any rupture or not after PTA. Follow-up color Doppler sonography was taken to evaluate the IVC patency and the PTA-related complication about 1 week after PTA. Results The mean transversial and longitudinal diameters of IVC at the junction level of right atrium and IVC were(25.09 ? 6.09) mm and(17.57 ? 3.93) mmrespectively in 46 cases with 3 D multi-slice CT preoperatively(1 case without measurement was due to the closest site with right atrium). There were no IVC rupture during the procedure. Conclusions Treatment of BCS by PTA using ? 30 mm big balloon catheter is feasible and safe.

Objective To investigate the regulative effect of interferon gamma (INF?) on the expression of platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor / thymidine phosphorylase (PD-ECGF/TP) and its relation with the anti-cancer effect of 5′-deoxy-5-fluorouridine (5'DFUR) and 5-fluorouracil (5FU) in T24 bladder cancer cells. Methods PD-ECGF/TP mRNA and protein expressions were determined by RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively.Cytotoxicity of 5′DFUR,5FU or mitomycin C (MMC) against T24 cells was evaluated by MTS assay. Results The expressions of PD-ECGF/TP mRNA and protein were concomitantly elevated in T24 cells after INF? treatment. And INF? decreased IC 50 s of 5′DFUR [from (16.0? 3.6 )mmol/L to (6.2?0.9)mmol/L,( P

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective: To study the difference in tooth profile among Chinese,Caucasian and Japanese with normal occlusion. Methods: The data of the measurments of Chinese,Caucasian and Japanese with normal occlusion were collected from published studies.Crown angulation, crown inclination and crown convex were used in the comparation among the peoples. Results: Tooth profile in Chinese was significantly different from that of Caucasian but was similar to that of Japanese. Conclusion: The orthodontic appliances should be modified when we use the straight wire appliances that is suitable for Caucasian and Japanese.
