4.Tissue engineered artificial nerves repair sciatic nerve defect in rats:an evaluation using horseradish peroxidase retrograde tracer technique
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(29):4658-4662
BACKGROUND:We have previously prepared acellular nerve graft and implanted bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells into the graft, to successful y construct tissue engineered artificial nerves.
OBJECTIVE:Horseradish peroxidase nerve retrograde tracer technique was used to evaluate protective effects on sensory neurons fol owing sciatic nerve defect bridging with tissue engineered artificial nerves constructed by acellular nerve graft and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in rats.
METHODS:Adult, clean, healthy, male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to three group:(1) Experimental group:Rat sciatic nerve detect was bridged by acellular nerve graft combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells;(2) Blank control group:Rat sciatic nerve defect was bridged by acellular nerve graft;(3) Autologous nerve control group:Rat sciatic nerve defect was bridged by autologous nerve transplantation. Regeneration of sensory neurons in the spinal dorsal root ganglia was assessed using horseradish peroxidase nerve retrograde tracer technique at 12 weeks fol owing surgery.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Sensory neuron regeneration in the spinal dorsal root ganglia at 12 weeks fol owing surgery was better in the experimental group compared with blank control group. No significant difference was detected between experimental group and autologous nerve control group. S-100 immunohistochemical staining in plantar skin showed brown positive reaction in each group. These findings indicate that tissue engineered artificial nerves constructed by acellular nerve graft and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells have protective effects on sensory neurons in the spinal dorsal root ganglia, and can promote the recovery of sensory function and repair sciatic nerve defect in rats.
5.Application effect of mental nursing on perioperative nursing of patients with cutaneous carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(15):4-5
Objective To observe the application effect of mental nursing on perioperative nursing of patients. Methods 66 patients with cutaneous carcinoma were randomly divided into the conventional nurs-ing group and the psychological intervention group. The conventional nursing group received perioperative mu-fine nursing, the psychological intervention group was given mental intervention before, during and after operation based on routine nursing. The anxiety value was measured before and 30 minutes after the operation, pain de-gree was assessed 30 minutes after the operation, the results underwent t test and X2 teat. Results Compared to the conventional nursing group, the anxiety value before the operation and 30 minutes pestoperation as well as pain degree 30 minutes pestoperation of the psychological intervention group were significantly decreased. Conclusions Mental nursing of patients with cutaneous carcinoma can efficiently eliminate or re-duco patients' psychologic obstacle and significantly reduce patients' painful feeling.
6.Cigarette smoke extract regulates expression of heme oxygenase-1 through signaling pathway of protein kinase C-nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 in rat airway epithelial cells
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2014;(8):1483-1488
[ABSTRACT]AIM:ToobservetheeffectofthesignalingpathwayofproteinkinaseC(PKC)-nuclearfactor-ery-throid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) on the expression of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) induced by cigarette smoke extract (CSE) in the rat airway epithelial cells .METHODS:After exposed to CSE , the airway epithelial cells of male SD rats were di-vided into control group , CSE3 group, RO318220 group, Nrf2 siRNA group and RO318220+Nrf2 siRNA group. The pro-tein levels of HO-1, Nrf2 and PKC were semi-quantified by Western blotting .The protein expression of HO-1 was assessed by immunocytochemistry .The mRNA expression of HO-1 was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) .Nrf2 protein location was observed by immunofluorescence staining .HO-1 activity was also determined .RE-SULTS:After exposure to CSE for 3 h, the Nrf2 protein was mainly located in the nucleus , and the expression level of Nrf2 protein in the nucleus was stronger than that in the control cells .CSE also significantly enhanced the levels of p-PKC protein, and HO-1 mRNA, protein and activity .Pretreatment with RO318220 significantly decreased the levels of PKC pro-tein, Nrf2 protein, and HO-1 mRNA, protein and activity.Meanwhile, Nrf2 protein significantly decreased , and the activ-ity, mRNA and protein levels of HO-1 were also significantly attenuated by pretreatment with siRNA to knock down Nrf2. Pretreatment with RO318220 and Nrf2 siRNA significantly decreased the PKC protein , Nrf2 protein, and HO-1 mRNA, protein and activity .CONCLUSION:CSE up-regulates the HO-1 expression through PKC-induced nuclear translocation of Nrf2 in the rat airway epithelial cells .
7.Changes about joint injuries caused by train in recent years
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the recent changes in features of joint injury caused by the fast running railroad train. Methods 1279 joint injuries o f the 10214 cases of train injury after the speeding up of the railway services from 1997 to 2003 were analyzed to find out their particular causal conditions, the severity of the injury, and the classification of the injuries, the correlat ion between which and recovery was also tested by AIS-ISS grading. Results Afte r the speeding up of the railway services, the incidence of joint injuries rose from 33.54% to 34.12%,the mortality rose from 22.88% to 30.33%,the multipl e joint severances rose from 19.84% to 34.19%,the open joint injury rose from 31.71% to 63.15%,and the mortality caused by multiple joint severances rose from 21.19% to 49.07%. Conclusions The incidence of multiple traumas resulted from the train is much higher than those resulted from other causes. Multiple t raumas caused by train are very difficult to deal with. The multiple organ dysfu nction syndrome (MODS) is a main factor to cause the death.
8.Arthroscopic core decompression with autologous bone marrow induction material combined with titanium rod in the repair of stage II femoral head necrosis
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(28):4460-4464
BACKGROUND:Although core decompression can contribute to the reconstruction of necrotic bone, its single use appears to have some deficiencies and cannot completely realize the reconstruction of the femoral head.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of arthroscopic core decompression with autologous bone marrow induction material combined with titanium rod in the repair of stage II femoral head necrosis
METHODS:A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 79 cases of stage II femoral head necrosis admitted at the South Branch of Tongchuan People’s Hospital from February 2011 to February 2013. According to the therapeutic methods, these cases were divided into control group (40 cases) and observation group (39 cases), and were given conventional core decompression and arthroscopic core decompression with autologous bone marrow induction material combined with titanium rod. Patients were fol owed up for 24 months, and the range of hip flexion and Harris scores on hip function and adverse events were observed and compared between two groups.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Al the 79 patients successful y completed the 24-month fol ow-up. By the last fol ow-up, the range of hip flexion and Harris score were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group (P<0.05). There was no failure case due to surgical material rejection. To sum up, arthroscopic core decompression with autologous bone marrow induction material combined with titanium rod is safe and effective for repair of stage II femoral head necrosis.

10.Application and research advances in cholelithiasis animal models
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2010;16(9):711-715
As a tool, cholelithiasis animal models have become an important platform for pathogenetic, preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic research. As biliary calculus formation has a close relationship with dysfunction of hepatic and biliary systems, inability of lipid metabolism homeostasis and impairment of immunologic barriers, increasing studies have been carried out with the use of animal models in these fields. Animal genetic susceptibility to cholelithiasis has greatly attracted people's attention in recent years and cholelithiasis animal models have been used in Chinese traditional medicine development and authentication. Furthermore, reports on invasive and traumatic research have been published in which large animal models were used. It is supposed that technical progress and scientists' demands would result in wide application of more kinds of cholelithiasis animal models.
