Objective To explore the relationship between the changes of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and cholinesterase (CHE) activities and death from hanging of bound upper limbs (DHBL). Methods After the animal model of DHBL was established, the LDH and CHE activities in the serum and tissues including diaphragm muscle and musculi gastrocnemius were determined. Results In DHBL group, LDH activity decreased significantly in diaphragm muscle as compared with that in musculi gastrocnemius (P0.05). In comparison with the control group, LDH activity lowered greatly in the diaphragm muscle(P0.05). Significant decrease in serum LDH in the DHBL group as compared with control group (P0.05). Conclusion Decrease in the LDH activity may be associated with hanging posture of bound upper limbs.

Objective To detect the morphological evidence of identifying death from electrical injury, the ultrastructural changes of the heart, brain, lung and skin in the electrocuted rats were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Methods 12 rats were divided into the experimental and control groups. In the experimental group,6 rats were killed by electrocution, and in the control group, 6 rats were killed by decapitation. Samples from the heart, brain, lungs, and skin were fixed with valeric aldehyde and post-fixed with osmic acid. After being stained, the ultrathin sections were observed by TEM. Results Evident cell apoptosis was detected in all the tissues examined, and erythrocytes appeared swelling, which stuffed the lumen of the capillary vessels. Conclusion The ultrastructural changes of the cells of the heart, brains, lungs, and skins including the vascular endothelial cells may be used as the indicators for identifying death from electrical injury.

Objective To establish an immunohistochemical method for postmortem diagnosis of electrocution. Method 12 rats were divided into two groups, experimental and control. In the experimental group,6 rats were killed by electricity, and in the control group,6 rats were killed by breaking the rats' neck. Myocardium sections were then made and were stained by SABC immunohistochemical method as well as HE.Results The expression of the fibronectins in the experimental rats' myocardia were significantly increased as compared with those in the control rats (P

Objective This article aims to explore the role of HSP70 in the developing mechanism of SMDS(sudden manhood death syndrome,SMDS)and to investigate the value of it in the early diagnosis of SMDS.Methods By way of immunohistochemieal staining of left, right ventricular musles, sino atrial node and atrioventricular node from 30 cases of SMDS group and 20 cases of control group,we observed and measured the expression of HSP70 and its variance of intensity with graphical analysis software. Results Compared with the control group cases,in cardiac conduction system tissue of SMDS victims.we saw an obviously higher expression and intensity of HSP70(P<0.05).Conclusion As a kind of mediator in stress reaction,HSP70 is involved in the process of protecting the heart from impairment in SMDS,and it can be considerated as a reference index to identify the SMDS.

Objective This article aims to explore the relationship between PKC and SMDS(sudden manhood death syndrome,SMDS).Methods By way of immunohistochemical staining of left, right ventricular tousles, sino atrial node and atrioventricular node from 30 cases of SMDS group and 20 cases of control group,we observed and measured the expression and the intensity variance of PKC in myocardial ceHs with graphical analysis software. Results The average gray value and total area of PKC in myocardial cells of cases in the SMS group are obviously higher than that of cases in control group(P<0.05).And in the SMDS group, the average gray value of PKC in sino atrial node is higher than that in atrioventricular node. Conclusion As one way of humoral regulation,PKC is involved in the process of protecting the heart from impairment in SMDS.and it can be considerated as a reference index to identify the SMDS.
