Objective:To explore the relationship between neuroticism and depression, and the mediating effect of coping style. Methods:A total of 274 prision inmates of Fujian province were tested by self-rating depression scale, Eysenck personality questionnaire and coping style questionnaire.SPSS 23.0 was used for data analysis, and Mplus 7.0 was used for structural equation modeling and Bootstrap mediating test.Results:(1) The scores of neuroticism, positive copying style, negative coping style and depression were 11.08±5.51, 32.47±6.45, 28.81±5.96, 41.15±9.07, respectively.Neuroticism was negatively correlated with positive copying style( r=-0.40, P<0.01) and positively correlated with negative coping style( r=0.39, P<0.01) and depression( r=0.69, P<0.01). (2)Neuroticism positively predicted depression and could explain 46.4% variation of depression score( F=46.372, P<0.01). (3)Coping styles (positive coping style and negative coping style) had partial mediating effects between neuroticism and depression. The whole model was well fitted (χ 2/ df=2.364, RMSEA=0.070, NFI=0.993, CFI=0.996, RFI=0.955, IFI=0.996), and the effect size of positive coping style and negative coping style were 0.108(95% CI: 0.061-0.157) and 0.066(95% CI: 0.021-0.109). Conclusion:Neuroticism directly affects depression and indirectly affects depression by means of positive coping style and negative coping style.

BACKGROUND: The injury of peripheral nerve may cause electroneurographic changes. However, what is the correlation between electroneurographic changes and the extent of nerve injury?OBJECTIVE: To probe into the changes of evoked electroneurography in early stage after nerve injury for clinical application and reference.DESIGN: Paired t-test in three groups of samples.SETTING: Department of Traumatic Orthopaedics People' s Hospital of Beijing University.MATERIALS:The trial was conducted in the Animal Center of the People's Hospital of Beijing University from August 2003 to December 2003. The subjects were 8 adult New Zealand rabbits of SPF grade(weighing 1.5 kg) and either gender from the Animal Center of Medical College of Beijing University.METHODS:The model of nerve injury was made in the 16 tibial nerves of the 8 rabbits, in which one third or two thirds of each nerve was ligated at the same transverse part. The samples were thus divided into three groups: non-injury (normal) group, 1/3 nerve injury group and 2/3 nerve injury group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The indices of evoked electroneurography, i. e. motor nerve condution velocity, negative M wave amplitude, negative M wave area, maximal M wave amplitude and maximal M wave area were measured in the three groups. The correlation between the extent of nerve injury and the 5 indices was analyzed.RESULTS: All the 5 indices of the 3 groups were significantly different( P< 0.05). The mean values of the 5 indices were 1.00 ±0.0,0.97 ±0.18,1.01 ±0.22;0.98 ±0.16 and 0.98 ±0.19 in normal group, 0.76 ±0.12,0.41 ± 0.24, 0.47 ± 0.30, 0.48 ± 0.27 and 0.50 ± 0.29 in 1/3 nerve injury group, and 0. 62±0. 10, 0. 11 ±0. 11, 0. 11 ±0. 10, 0. 12 ±0. 14 and 0.13± 0. 12 in 2/3 nerve injury group. The coefficient of correlation between the 5 indices and the injury were 0. 902, 0. 938, 0. 936, 0. 907, and 0. 914, respectively.CONCLUSION: In the early stage after peripheral nerve injury, the electroneurographic indices negatively correlate with the extent of nerve injury. The negative M wave amplitude and area are relatively more closely correlated with the extent of injury.

Objective To explore the influence of studying in the elderly university on the cognitive function for elderly. Methods Elderly university group (EUG) was consised of 105 subjects aged ≥60 who studied in the elderly university for one year. Controlled group(CG) was consisted of 105 elderly over 60 years of age who were siblings for subjects and would not studied in elderly university. Meanwhile, it was excluded if they were working. Two groups were excluded depression patients before study. The assessment tools were composed of Center for epidemiological survey of depression scale (CES-D), activity of daily living scale(ADL), mini-mental state examination (MMSE)and Wechsler's adult intelligence scale(WAIS). There were no significant statistics difference in scales of CES-D, ADL, MMSE and WAIS between two groups. Results There were no significant statistics difference of CES-D, ADL and MMSE between two groups after a year, however, the scales of ADL for controlled group after one year was higher than that before one year( t = 2. 191, P = 0.031 ). The MMSE mark shows one(0.95% )sustain cognitive impairment in EUG after one year; meanwhile there were six elders of (5.77%)come up to critical value of cognitive impairment in CG, the difference was almost statistical significance (P=0. 058 ). The WAIS mark demonstrated the total scale, VQ scale and PQ scale was declining. The score of total scale and perform scale of WAIS in CG were (110.3 ±8.2 )and (110.9 ±7.7) respectively. The score of total scale and perform scale of WAIS in CG were ( 107.8 ± 9.6 ) and ( 107.9 ± 13.4 ) respectively. There were significant difference between two groups(P=0. 044, P=0. 049). Furthermore, after one year the score of total scale of WAIS in CG( 110. 6 ± 7.4 ) outstanding be lower than that one year ago(P = 0. 022 ). There was no significant means for the total scale , verbal scale and perform scale of WAIS in CEG before and after year. Conclusion The program of continue education may play a positive role to stay or to improve the descending of the cognitive function in the elderly.

[ Objective] To compare the protective mechanism of Zuojin Pill (Rhizoma Coptidis: Fructus Evodiae = 6:1) and Fan Zuojin Pill (Rhizoma Coptidis: Fructus Evodiae = 1: 6) on gastric secretion and gastric mucosal barrier. [Methods] Pylorus - ligated rat model was applied. Rats were divided into normal saline group, Zuojin Pill groups (1.4 g/kg and 2.8 g/kg) and Fan Zuojin Pill groups (1.4g/kg and 2.8g/kg) and then the drugs were given by duodenal feeding. Gastric secretion and gastric mucus synthesis were examined. [Results] Zuojin Pill and Fan Zuojin Pill (1.4 g/kg and 2.8 g/kg) both inhibited gastric secretion and decreased total acid output and pepsin activity in a dose- effect manner. Zuojin Pill and Fan Zuojin Pill also increased the content of gastric adherent mucus (GAM) and tended to elevate the mucus level in gastric juice. [Conclusion] The preventive mechanism of Zuojin Pill and Fan Zuojin Pill on gastric mucosa may be related to the regulation of gastric secretion and gastric mucus synthesis.

We investigated the molecular characteristics of the full-length genome of 14 dengue serotype 1 virus (DENV-1)strains isolated in Sino-Myanmar border region in Yunnan Province,China during 2013-2015.Isolation of dengue virus was using C6/36 cell culture method.Viral RNA was extracted from virus isolates, and then the full-length genome was amplified by RT-PCR.The homology and phylogenetic analysis was made on the nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences by bioinformatics software including ClastalX1.83 and MEGA6 etc. Results showed that fourteen strains of DENV-1 isolated from dengue fever cases,of these,9 strains from Ruili City of Dehong Prefecture,3 from Lincang Prefecture,2 from Kunming City.RT-PCR and sequencing indicated that the full-length genes (10 735 nt) of 14 DENV-1 strains were obtained, and their open reading frame (95-10 271) were coded 3 392 amino acid residues. The genotypes of DENV-1 were revealed by homology and phylogenetic analysis based on structural and non-structural proteins.Thirteen were genotype Ⅰ (G-Ⅰ) (7 from indigenous cases in Ruili and Lincang and 6 from imported case from Myanmar to Ruili,Lincang and Kunming),and 1 G-Ⅲ from imported case from India to Kunming. The phylogenic analysis indicated that the 13 isolates from Yunnan divided into 2 phylogenic subgroups, and they had a closer genetic relationship with the strains isolated from Southeast Asia. The gene sequences of the 13 G-Ⅰ strains have been acquired, the rate of their nucleotide homology and amino acid homology were 97.02 %-100 % and 98.78 %100 % respectively.Compared with 6 strains from Southeast Asia, nucleotide homology and amino acid homology were 96.53%-99.53% and 97.33%-100% respectively.Compared with prototype strain (US_Hawaii) of DENV-1,nucleotide homology and amino acid homology were 93.76%-94.45 % and 95.86 %-96.91% respectively.Compared with US_Hawaii strain, there were 44 and 150 different sites in amino acid of structural and non-structural proteins, respectively. The G-1 of DENV-1 have been popular in Sino-Myanmar border region in Yunnan,2013-2015.They have genetic diversity but multiple transmission sources were from Myanmar, and should strengthen control cross-border spread of dengue fever in this region. It is necessary to further study that change of the amino acid sites of Yunnan strains of DENV-1 is related to its antigenicity and pathogenicity.
