1.Effectiveness of iron fortified fish sauce on body iron storage
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2005;15(6):26-33
The study was carried out to assess the effectiveness of iron fortified fish sauce on body iron storage in non-pregnant women at reproductive age 16-49 in Minh Tan and Kim Thai communes, Vu Ban, Nam Dinh. The study was randomly and doubly blinded and lasted in 18 months. Women from 21 villages of these two communes were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups. The control group consisted of 189 subjects receiving type I (15 degree of nitrogen) fish sauce. The intervention (supplementation) group consisted of 198 subjects receiving iron fortified fish sauce. The results showed that daily consumption of iron fortified fish sauce has significantly improved the body iron storage in these women. After 6 months of the intervention, the body iron storage was significantly increased in the intervention group in comparison with the control group (P<0.0001). The improvement was maximum at 12th month and sustained until 18th month.

4.A study on the contents of steroid hormones and micro-substances in some salt-water fishes in Vietnam
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(2):35-38
In this study, the contents of steroid hormones and micro-substances in 5 salt-water fishes including Sea-horse, White hering, Garrupa, Selachian and Mackerel were studied. The result demonstrated that: the contents of steroid hormones in 5 mentioned fishes were relatively higher than other salt-water creatures. The study also explored the availability as well as contents of some necessary micro-substances in these salt-water fishes (K, Ca, Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn, Se). Although, the ability of using the active elements in the 5 salt-water fishes as medicines to enhance health and prevent diseases is very potential, it needs further studies

6.Clonorchis infection in the endemic areas of Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;0(5):26-29
4826 stool samples collected from 5 communes were examined by Kato- Katz technique. The infection rate of clonorchis sinensis was 33,9% in average (22,5% to 37,3%). The infection rate in male was higher than in female by 4 times and highest in 40- 49 age group (51,9%). The habit of eating raw fish is very common in this area (55,6%- 80,4%). The adult worms from patients in these study sites were identified as clonorchis sinensis

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1964;5(1):27-30
Gold fishes were used to determine exophthalmos-inhibitory effect of anti-EPS serum. Anti-EPS Serum was obtained by repeated injection of serum from a patient of malignant exophthalmos to a guinea pig. The exophthalmos-inhibitory effect on fish was determined by measuring the intercorneal distance of fishes by the use of a micrometer before and after the injection of sera, and the percentage in that distance were calculated. The responsiveness of fishes was partly controlled by the injections of normal guinea pig serum and the serum from a patient of endocrine exophthalmos. The injections of the serum from the patient provoked exophthalmos. The injections of the serum from the patient, followed by the injections of normal serum of guinea pig provoked no exophthalmos. The injections of the patient's serum followed by injections of antiserum of guinea pig resulted in marked enophthalmos. These results suggest that the normal guinea pig serum and the antiserum from the guinea pig contains exophthalmos-inhibitory factor, and that this effect was greater in the serum treated by patient's serum.

8.Investigation of clonorchis sinensis metacercaria and Gnathostoma larvae in fresh water fishes in Ha Noi markets
Journal of Malaria and parasite diseases Control 2003;0(6):86-92
Ten fresh water fish species (Hypothalmichthys molitrix, Tilapia mossambica, Mylopharyngodon piceus, Cirrhina molitorella, Squaliobabus curriculus, Cyprinus carpio, Carassius carassius, Ophicephatus, Pluta alba, Clarias fuscus) collected from five markets in Ha Noi city: Dang Tran Con (Dong Da district), North Thanh Xuan (Thanh Xuan district), Thanh Cong (Ba Dinh district), Van Dien (Thanh Tri district), and Phung Khoang (Tu Liem district) were examined for Clonorchis metacercaria and Gnathostoma larvea. Seven species were found to be infected with Clonorchis metarcecaria and only eels (Fluta alba) infected with Gnathostoma larvae. The samples of Clonorchis sp metacercaria were identified as Clonorchis sinensis and Gnathostoma larvae as Gnathostoma spinigerum

9.Retrospect and prospect of transgenic fish breeding in China.
Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2016;32(7):851-860
The first transgenic fish was generated in China about 30 years ago. Since then, considerable progress has been achieved for farmed fishes breeding with improvement of target traits of growth, disease resistance, stress tolerance, and nutrition qualities. Up to now, the technology of transgenic fish breeding is almost mature and the biosafety assessment is established. In this review, a successful example of the fast-growing transgenic common carp was presented and the foreground of transgenic fish breeding was also discussed and prospected.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1987;25(1):31-40
This study was undertaken to observe the difference of patch test and prick test positive reactions in three groups, 20 atopic dermatitis patients, 20 chronic urticaria patients, and 20 normal controls, Twenty commercial antigens (ToriiCo.) and twenty three frozen and boiled antigens of fishes and shellfishes were used as test materials. The results were as follows: 1. No positive reaction was observed in all sixty subjects in patch test. 2 In prick test, difference in reactivity was observed among atopic dermatitis (14. 7%), chronic urticaria (8.7%), and normal control(1. 5%) 3. There was significant difference in reactivity between Torii and frozen antigens in atopic dermatitis group, but no significance in chronic urticaria and control groups. 4. Boiling altered the reactivity in tested materials in all three groups of subjects singificantly. 5. Patients with past or family history of allergic diseases showed double fold higher reactivity tban patients without any history.
