1.Analysis in coordination strategy between nurses and pharmacists in pharmacy intravenous admixture services

Objective To disucss the coordination strategy between nurses and pharmacists in phar-macy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS) during the handling of clinical work. Methods Ques-tionnaires were adopted to investigated relative staff for information collection and analysis by combina-tion of specified post responsibility of nurses and pharmacists in PIVAS and experience from clinical work. Results We proposed the sixteen-word guideline of "clear duty, study and respect each other to achieve win- win development". Conclusions The coordination of nurses and pharmacists in PIVAS is important in clinical work, the countermeasures summarized from clinical practice has certain instructive significance to coordinate their relations.
2.How to improve the pregnancy outcome by optimizing embryo cryopreservation protocol

Objective To investigate how to optimize the protocol of embryo cryopreservation to improve the success of frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET), reduce multiple pregnancy rate and increase the cumulative pregnancy rate from one oocyte retrieval process. Methods The clinical data of 1 166 FET cycles were retrospectively analyzed and separated into different groups:445 for vitrification and 721 for slow-freezing. The vitrification group was divided into single embryo (28 cy?cles), double embryos (71 cycles) and triple embryos (346 cycles). 0-1 optimal embryo was called O0-1 group (235 cycles), 2 optimal embryos were called O2 group (80 cycles), 3 optimal embryos were called O3 group (130 cycles). The difference preg?nancy outcomes (implantation rate, clinical pregnancy, abortion rate and live-birth rate) were compared between groups. Results (1) There were significantly higher embryo survival rate(98.3%vs 73.1%), embryo recovery rate without damaging (83.3%vs 62.1%), implantation rate(36.8%vs 29.9%), clinical pregnancy(57.1%vs 44.0%) and live-birth rate(47.9%vs 34.5%) in vitrification group than those of slow freezing group(P<0.05). (2) There were significantly higher clinical pregnan?cy rate(62.7%vs 39.4%vs 32.1%), multiple pregnancy rate(37.6%vs 10.7%vs 0%)and live-birth rate(52.6%vs 31.0%vs 21.4%)in triple embryos group than those of the single and double embryos groups (P<0.05). (3) There were significantly higher implantation rate(33.0%vs 27.1%), clinical pregnancy(65.2%vs 48.1%), multiple pregnancy rate(38.0%vs 20.4%) and live-birth rate(56.2%vs 39.2%) in O2-3 group than those of O0-1 group(P<0.05). (4) There were significantly higher im?plantation rate(36.8%vs 26.3%) and multiple pregnancy rate (46.7%vs 21.3%) in O3 group than those of O2 group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in clinical pregnancy(69.2%vs 58.8%), abortion rate(15.6%vs 10.6%), ectopic preg?nancy rate(0 vs 0), live-birth rate(58.5%vs 52.5%) and preterm birth rate(26.3%vs 14.3%) between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Vitrification technology can improve the clinical pregnancy and live-birth rate, and decrease multiple preg?nancy rate. Two optimal embryos in one tube are supposed to be the preferred method for embryo cryopreservation.
3.Investigation of Lavatory Improvement in Rural Areas in Shandong Province in 2005

Objective To know the lavatory improvement in the rural areas in Shandong Province in 2005 and to present the data for the decision of the lavatory improvement in countryside in the future. Methods In 2005, 164 villages in 45 counties were chosen and questionaire was used to conduct the investigation. Results 15 338 different type lavatories were constructed, of which the indoor toilets occupied 71.70%, the outdoor toilets occupied 28.30%. About 11.19 million yuan RMB was spent on the program, the average cost of each lavatory was 729.60 yuan RMB. Conclusion The program of lavatory improvement in the rural areas has been finished in Shandong Province in 2005, the data are satisfactory.
4.CT Diagnosis of Hydranencephaly

Objective To investigate the pathogenesis pathology,CT diagnosis and differential diagnosis of hydranencephaly.Methods CT manifestations and clinical data of 9 cases with hydranencephaly were analysed retrospectively.Results CT findins of 9 cases were almost defects of bilateral cerebral hemisphere and ventricle.Only a little remainder of occipital,frontal and/or temporal lobes were appearence.The structure of subtentorium was normal.Conclusion CT scan directly shows all appearances of hydranencephaly and is great valuable for diagnosing this disease.

Objective To investigate the sexual activity of pregnant women in the third trimester and its influencing factors. Methods A retrospective investigation was conducted among 338 postpartum women in our hospital who delivered between June and August in 2003. The questionnaires was completed by every subjects supervised by special trained persons on the 2nd to 4th day postpartum. Results More than a quarter (96/338, 28.4%) of the pregnant women had coitus during the third trimester. To investigate the chemical constituents of hemostatic extract of Pyrola calliantha H. Andres, the extract was subjected to chromatographic separation and purification. Along with some known compounds, a new naphthaquinone derivative was isolated and identified as 2-(1, 4-dihydro-2, 6-dimethyl-1, 4-dioxo-3-naphthalenyl)-3, 4, 5-trihydroxylbenzoic acid by physicochemical and spectroscopic analysis.
7.Correlation between food intolerance and Henoch-Sch(o)nlein purpura in children

Objective To investigate the correlation between food intolerance and Henoch-Sch(o)nlein purpura (HSP) in children and the efficacy of food forbidden or alternative therapy. Methods The levels of IgG against several common food in serum obtained from 40 children with HSP were measured by ELISA. The efficacy of food forbidden or alternative food therapy was assessed after 3 months. Results Total positive rate of serum food-intolerant IgG antibodies in HSP children was 92.5%. Among these 14 intolerant foods, the positive percentage of egg was the highest (33.8%), followed by tomato (14.9%), milk (13.5%) and morrhua (12.2%). Significant differences of the sort and degree of food intolerance existed among different age groups (t=2.257, P=0.045), but not between boys and girls (t=1.053, P=0.315), city and countryside (t= 1.388, P=0.193). There was no linear correlation between total food intolerance and serum IgG level (t=0.793, P=0.445). Food intolerance had no direct relation to immune complex deposition in kidneys of HSP nephritis (r =-0.262, P =0.387). The efficacy of adjusting diet was 95% . Conclusions HSP is closely related to food intolerance. Egg is the most common intolerant food. Food forbidden or alternative therapy shows acceptable efficacy in the treatment of most Henoch-Sch(o)nlein purpura children.

Objective To investigate the mRNA,protein expression and tyrosine phosphorylation of insulin receptor substrate.1(IRS-1)in endometrial carcinoma.Methods Sixty-three endometrial carcinoma(EC)patients,21 endometrial atypical hyperplasia(AHE)patients and 22 normal control(NE) entered this smdy.Their clinical information were colleeted Fasting serum C-peptide concentration was measured.Expression of IRS-1 in endometrium was examined by RT-PCR and western blol Immunoprecipitation was used to measure the tyrosine phosphorylation of IRS-1.Results C-peptide 0.007].There were no significant differences in IRS-l mRNA and protein expression among the three grouDs.Tyrosine phosphorylation of IRS-1 in EC group[(62±36)%]was higher than that in AHE and NE groups[(53 4-34)%and(35 4-33)%;P=0.048,0.002].IRS-1 activation in AHE group was also higher than nornlal control(P=0.045).IRs-1 activation in endometrioid carcinoma[(69 4-33)%]was higher than that in other histological types[(34±31)%;t=2.300,P=0.025].IRs-l tyrosine phosphorylation was significantly higher in patients with advanced stage,high grade,deep myometrial invasion and pelvic lymph node metastasis.IRS-l activation in endometrium was positively correlated with fasting sertlm C-peptide concentration(r=0.491,P=0.001).Conclusions There is excessive activation of IRS-1 in endometrial carcinoma and atypical hyperplasia.Activation of IRS-I in endometrial carcinoma is related with poor clinical-pathologic fleatures and may be a prognostic predictor for this tumor.Over-activationof IRS-1 may be an intermediate event linking the hyperinsulinemia and endometrial carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the effect of influenza virus on the expression of collagen triple he-lix repeat containing 1 (CTHRC1). Methods A549 cells were infected with influenza virus. mRNA and protein levels of CTHRC1 were determined by RT-PCR and Western blot , CTHRC1 levels in the cell supernatants and sera of influenza virus infected patients were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The difference of CTHRC1 levels between healthy controls and HCV patients was analyzed. Results Compared with controls, mRNA and protein levels of CTHRC1 were higher in A549 cells infected with H3N2. Serum CTHRC1 levels were higher in influenza virus infected patients than in healthy controls (P < 0.05). Conclusion Influenza virus can promote the synthesis and secretion of CTHRC1.
