Journal of Chinese Physician 2015;17(8):1131-1134
Lynch syndrome.(LS) is an autosomal dominant condition caused by a mutation in the mismatch repair genes (MMR).Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common extra-colonic cancers of LS Ⅱ type.Among the female members of LS family with the MMR gene mutation,EC has an overall lifetime risk more than 35%.LS-associated EC is more likely present as the clinical pathological characteristics of early age of onset, endometrioid adenocarcinoma, lower grade, lower uterine segment involvement, and better prognosis.LS patients with family history and early age of onset should be performed with a combined screening and genetic testing, while high-risk patients should be taken clinical monitoring methods as endometrial biopsy.Oral contraceptives mav be reasonable chemopreventive agents in the patients with LS.Although prophylactic hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is an effective strategy to prevent EC in women with LS,preoperative counseling should address the trade-offs between the reduction in the risk of cancer, and the risks and side effects of surgery. The patients need hormone replacement therapy after surgery.

OBJECTIVE:To study the protctive effect of ginkgo biloba extractEGBon the kindey in the case of is?chemia-reperfusion injury.METHODS:The model of renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in male rats was made by ligation of left renal artery for40min and3h of reperfusion. The rats with pretreatment were fed with EGB at different doses prior to operation. The content of malonadialdihydeMDA,the activity of superoxide dismutaseSODin renal cortex and the levels of blood urea nitrogenBUN,creatinineCrin plasma were measured. The pathological changes of renal tissues were observed by electron microscope.RESULTS:After ischemia-reperfusion,the activity of SOD in renal cortex was decreased, however, the content of MDA in renal cortex and the levels of BUN,Cr in plasma were increased.Pathological changes induced by ischemia-reperfusion in renal tissues were observed clearly. The pretreatment of rats with EGB significantly prevented reduction of SOD activity and increase of MDA content in renal cortex, decreased elevation of concentration of BUN and Cr in plas?ma.Pathological changes of proximal tubular cells in rat kidneys induced by ischemia-reperfusion were also prevented by the pretreatment with EGB.CONCLUSION:EGB can protect rats from renal injuries caused by ischemia-reperfusion.The mechanism of protective effects of EGB may be related to preserving the activity of SOD and alleviating lipid peroxidation.

The enzyme-inhibitor model and the sugar tolerance mouse model were used to evaluate the relationship between the inhibition rate of enzyme activity and concentration of Hippophae rhamnoides L. subsp. chinensis Rousi polysaccharide (HRP). The inhibitory patterns of enzyme and dose-dependent effects of HRP's effect on blood glucose using acarbose tablets as control were also examined. The mechanism underlying hypoglycemic effects of HRP was discussed. The results showed: in the enzyme-inhibitor model, the inhibitory activity of different concentrations of HRP (9.80, 19.60, 39.20, 78.40, 156.80 and 312.50 mg x L(-1)) on alpha-glucosaminidase (AG) inhibitory activity were 6.62%, 18.02%, 33.26%, 48.23%, 62.11%, 76.31%, 90.12%, IC50 was 31.59 mg x L(-1). The inhibitory rate of 25.00 x 10(3) mg x L(-1) acarbose tablets was only 64.87%, and IC50 was 10.75 x 10(3) mg x L(-1). In the sugar tolerance mouse model, different doses of HRP (240, 480, 960 mg x kg(-1)) tended to decrease levels of blood glucose compared with control group (acarbose tablets 375 mg x kg(-1)) at 15, 30, 60 and 120 min. It's further confirmed that HRP is a kind of competitive inhibitor of AG activity. Its inhibition rate increases with the increase of concentration in normal mice, and it subsequently improves the sugar tolerance showing the effect of reducing blood sugar.

Objective To determine the clinical features and the factors affecting the recurrence of ovarian borderline epithelial tumors. Methods A retrospective data of 112 cases with ovarian borderline epithelial tumors admitted in General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University from 2000 to 2015 were analyzed. Results The average age was (50.59±16.90) years in 112 patients with FIGO stageⅠof 102 (91.07%) patients, stageⅡof 4 (3.57%) and stageⅢof 6 (5.36%). The serum tumor marker (CA125) was examined in 102 patients, and 27 cases with the elevated indicator (26.47%). Surgical treatment was performed in 112 patients. Younger patients were more likely to choose conservative surgery. Ninety-seven patients were followed up, and 5 of them relapsed. Non fertility preserving surgery was performed in patients with recurrence. The recurrence rates of patients with different clinical pathological factors were compared. The recurrence rate was higher in patients with micro infiltration than that of patients without micro infiltration [37.50%(3/8) vs. 2.25%(2/89), P=0.004]. And the recurrence rate was higher in patients with microemulsion type borderline serous tumor than that of patients with non-papillary tumors [40.00%(2/5)vs. 0(0/41),P=0.019]. Seven patients underwent conservative surgery had normal spontaneous pregnancy. Conclusion The fertility-sparing surgery can be used as the treatment procedures for young patients, which is safe and effective. It is necessary to be on alert of recurrence for the cases with micropapillary pattern, and microinvasive tumor.
