Objective To explore the possibility of using the mammotome system (MMT) with 2.5 cm spiral cutting mode to resect benign tumor of 3-6 cm in diameter. Methods The study group consisted of 160 patients with tumor of 3-6 cm in diameter, who received treatment of MMT cross combination with parallel rotary cutting method. The control group consisted of 160 patients with tumor < 2.5 cm and received routine MMT operation. The therapeutic effects and complications of the two groups were compared.Chi-sqare test was used for statistical analysis. Results All operations were successful on MMT.There was no statistical difference in intraoperative bleeding, skin ecchymosis and postoperative hematomas between the two groups(x2 =0.251 8,P =0.616;x2 =0.328 2,P =0.567 ;x2 =0.146 3,P =0.702).The hospitalization duration, the operation scar and other complications were similar between the two groups. Conclusions The MMT cross combination with parallel rotary cutting method can be used to resect 3-6 cm benign breast tumors. It has the advantages of safety, efficiency, minimal invasiveness, covertincision, good cosmetic effect and low complications.

Monoclonal antibodies(mAbs)to human TRAIL receptors(TRAIL-Rs)have been developed in tumor targeted therapy and currently used in clinical Ⅰ~Ⅳtrials.MAbs can bind death-receptors(TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2)and then results in formation of the death inducing signaling complex (DISC)and apoptosis of tumor cells.TRAIL -Rs mAbs have become one of the research and development hotspots of anti -tumor drugs. These mAbs have achieved remarkable results in combination with radio -or chemo-therapy drugs or oth-er agents and immunotherapy in the treatment of tumor and offer a new therapeutic strategy for clinical tumor treatment.

Objective To study the anatomic data of the first metatarsal dorsal artery and to provide anatomical basis for clinical tissue transplantation based on the first metatarsal dorsal artery. Methods The 16 adult cadaver specimens with 32 feet were dissected and meas-ured by vernier caliper. Then the anatomic data of the first metatarsal dorsal artery were analyzed. Results Through the examinations of 32 feet sample, the first metatarsal dorsal artery were classified into 5 types.Type Ⅰ:the first metatarsal dorsal artery runs at the surface of the first dorsal interosseous muscle (13 sides,40.6%).Type Ⅱ:the first metatarsal dorsal artery runs in the interior of the first dorsal interosse-ous muscle (11sides,34.4%).Type Ⅲ:the first metatarsal dorsal artery runs underneath the first dorsal interosseous muscle (6 sides, 18.8%).Type Ⅳ:the first metatarsal dorsal artery is slender (1 side,3.1%).TypeⅤ:the first metatarsal dorsal artery is absent (1 side, 3.1%).Distance relationship was measured between the first metatarsal bone and the first metatarsal dorsal artery:the vertical distance be-tween the origin of the posterior branch of the first metatarsal dorsal artery and base of the first metatarsal bone was (2.4 ±0.3)mm,the ver-tical distance between the origin of the posterior branch of the first metatarsal dorsal artery and head of the first metatarsal bone was (10.1 ±1.0)mm;the vertical distance between the origin of the anterior branch of the first metatarsal dorsal artery and the first metatarso-phalangeal joint was (7.6 ±2.7)mm.Conclusion The first metatarsal dorsal artery has clinical reference significance for the hands and feet’s trauma and skin flap transplantation such as thumb reconstruction.
