1.A Respiratory Signal Detection Circuit with Automatic Compensation Function
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(03):-
Objective To introduce a new kind of circuit with temperature and voltage double compensation function in view of the deficiency of ambient temperature change on existing respiratory signal detection circuit. Methods The respiratory signal is detected by the characteristics of diode junction voltage with temperature changes. Results The functions of automatic temperatures compensation and automatic voltage fluctuation compensation are realized with the differential connection of two identical diodes. Conclusion The experimental results shows that the proposed circuit is basically immune to the fluctuation of ambient temperature changes and voltage fluctuation, its structure is simple and the accuracy of breathing signal detection is also improved.

Objective To evaluate the role of microRNA130α on rat bone mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)during chondrogenic differentiation. Methods BMSCs were induced to differentiate into chondroeytes by transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)in vitro, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry were performed to evaluate MSCs differentiation.RT-PCR was performed to analyze microRNA130α expression at different time points. Results microRNA130α was down-modulated during chondrogenesis after BMSCs been cultured with TGF-β1 for 7 days (P <0.05).Conclusion During the early stage of BMSC chondrogenic differentiation,mciroRNA130a expression was specifically repressed, suggesting its role in differentiation of rat bone mesenchymal stromal cells.

Tumor angiogenesis is the uncontrolled growth of blood vessels in tumors, serving to supply nutrients and oxygen, and remove metabolic wastes.Kaposi's sarcoma (KS),a multifocal angioproliferative disorder characterized by spindle cell proliferation,neo-angiogenesis,inflammation,and edema,is associated with infection by Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV).Recent studies indicate that KSHV infection directly promotes angiogenesis and inflammation through an autocrine and paracrine mechanism by inducing pro-angiogenic and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Many of these cytokines are also expressed in KS lesions, implicating a direct role of KSI-IV in the pathogenesis of this malignancy.Several KSHV genes are involved in KSHV-induced angiogenesis. These studies have provided insights into the pathogenesis of KS,and identified potential therapeutic targets for this malignancy.

Objective To examine the cognitive function in healthy first-degree relatives (FDRs) of patients with bipolar Ⅰ disorder. Methods Cognitive function were studied in one hundred twenty healthy FDRs of patients with bipolar Ⅰ disorder and one hundred normal controls using digital symbol, digital span, visual reproduction, trail making test A (TMT-A) and trail making test B (TMT-B).Results Compared with normal controls, FDRs showed impairment in all indexes of the tests, including digital symbol, digital span (forward, reversed and forward + reversed), visual reproduction, TMT-A and TMT-B (t=-3.44、-4.23、-4.32、-4.98、-2.59、4.32、3.78, respectively, Ps≤0.01).By analysis of covariance (covariant: age and years of education), FDRs were still impaired in these indexes (P<0.05).Compared with sex-matched normal controls, male FDRs showed impairment in all indexes of the tests, but female FDRs only showed impairment in digital span (reversed, forward + reversed), TMT-A and TMT-B (P<0.05).Conclusions Attention, memory and executive function are impaired in healthy first-degree relatives of patients with bipolar Ⅰ disorder.

Objective To investigate the mediating effects of neurotic personality between parental rearing patterns and depressive symptom. Methods Using multistage sampling method,982 town middle-school students were surveyed by the Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),the Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran (EMBU),the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ).Correlation and regression analysis, mediating effect test, and structural equation model were constructed. Results ①)Depressive symptom (D) (1.73 ± 0.72) was significantly associated with Neurotic personality (N) (51.50± 11.37) and parental rearing patterns (r=-0.138-0.582,P<0.01).②N,mother's rejection and deny(M3),father's emotional warmth and understanding(F1),father's over-protection(F6) had a direct effect on D,which can explain 41.6% of the variance.F1,F6,mother's over-interference and over-protection(M2),M3 had a direct effect on N,which can explain 15.3% of the variance. The mediating effect of N between F1,F6,M2 and D were significant(95%CI =-0.212--0.069,-0.351--0.233,0.414-0.480).③The explanation for D was 41.3%.N had completely mediating effect between M2 and depressive symptom.N had partial mediating effect between F1,F6 and D,and the proportion was 43.6% and 49.1%.Conclusion Neurotic personality plays a mediating role between parental rearing patterns and depressive symptom in middle-school students.

Objective:To study the patterns of tocilizumab (TCZ) use, its efficacy and safety in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in routine clinical practice. Methods:A total of 407 patients with RA were enrolled from 23 centers and treated with TCZ within 8 weeks prior to the enrollment visit, and were followed for 6-month. The patterns of TCZ treatment at 6 months, the effectiveness and safety outcomes were recorded. Statistical analysis was performed using SAS version 9.4.Results:A total of 396 patients were included for analysis, in which 330 (83.3%) patients received TCZ combined with conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs), and 16.7%(66/396) received TCZ monotherapy. At baseline, TCZ was initiated in 56.6%(224/396) and 9.6%(38/396) of patients after failure of DMARDs and other biological agents (bDMARDs) respectively. During the 6-month follow-up period, the mean frequency of TCZ administration was (3.7±1.6), the mean TCZ dosage was (7.4±1.2) mg/kg, and the mean interval between doses was (40±13) days. 120(25.8%) patients were on TCZ treatment at the end of the study. Improvements in disease activity, systemic symptoms and patient report outcomes were observed at the end of the study. 22.7%(90/396) patients experienced at least one treatment related adverse event, and 8 patients experienced at least one serious adverse event. Conclusion:This study demonstrates that TCZ treatment is effective in patients with RA when being treated for 6 months with an acceptable safety profile. The duration of TCZ treatment needs to be extended.
