Chinese Journal of Geriatric Heart Brain and Vessel Diseases 2014;(9):906-908
Objective To study the risk factors for dose wearing off (WO)in PD patients .Methods One hundred and thirty-three PD patients were recruited in this study according to the UKPDBB criteria .Their dose WO was diagnosed according to the Wo questionnaire 9 (WOQ-9) .The pa-tients were divided into WOQ-9 (+ ) group (n=111) and WOQ-9 (-) group (n=22) .The pa-tients in WOQ-9 (+) group were further divided int WO (+ ) group (n=59) and WO (-) group (n=52) .The difference in their clinical and therapeutic parameters was compared .Results The dose WO was observed in 83 .5% of the 133 PD patients ,53 .2% of which accorded with the dose WO clinical definition .T he disease onset age ,disease course ,maximal levodopa daily dose and ac-cumulated levodopa dose differed greatly in WOQ-9 (+ ) group and WOQ-9 (-) group (P<005) . The disease course ,H-Y stage ,UPDRS score ,tetany score ,maximal levodopa daily dose ,levodopa dose per body weight and accumulated drug use time differed greatly in WOQ-9 (+ ) group and WOQ-9 (-) group (P< 0 .01) .The major risk of dose WO was the levodopa dose per body weight (OR=1.364 ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion Dose WO is related with the progress of disease and the use of levodopa .Levodopa dose per body weight is an independent risk factor for dose WO .

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and general pattern of the adverse drug reactions (ADR) occurred in our hospital. METHODS:A total of 258 ADR cases collected from June 2006 to June 2008 were analyzed statistically in respect of patients' age and sex, drug variety, clinical manifestations, routes of administraiton and dosage forms etc. RESULTS:Of the total 258 ADR cases, the majority(64.34%) were induced by antimicrobial drugs; 45.74% presented with lesions of skin and its appendants, and 77.91% were induced by intravenous way. CONCLUSION:To develop and strengthen ADR monitoring and reporting should be regarded as the key to enhance medication safety.

Objective To investigate the correlation between Gab2 expression and platinum drugs chemotherapy resistance by detecting the expression of Gab2 in ovarian cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical and Western blotting techniques were used to detect the expression of Gab2 in 107 specimens of serous ovarian tumor tissue and 12 specimens of normal ovarian tissues resected during bladder cancer radical operation in the department of gynaecology of our hospital from January 2011 to June 2015.The correlation between Gab2 expression with clinical stage and effect of combined chemotherapy based on platinum drugs was analyzed. Results The Gab2 expression level in ovarian cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue, moreover had a relation with the FIGO clinical stage, the expression level of Gab2 increased with the increase of clinical stage, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);61 cases were sensitive to chemotherapy,46 cases were resistant to chemotherapy, the Gab2 expression level in the patients with chemotherapy resistance was significantly higher than that in the patients with chemotherapy sensitivity, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Gab2 may become one of effective indexes for predicting platinum drugs chemotherapy sensitivity.

Objective To study the effect of cardiac troponin T(cTnT)on the prognosis of chronic heart failure in the elderly patients. Methods Serum level of cTnT,and serum activities of creatine kinase (CK)and creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB)were measured in 60 elderly patients of chronic heart failure with varied classes of cardiac function.Cardiac events, including malignant cardiac arrhythemia, repeated or aggravated heart failure or cardiac death,in patients with increased cTnT during hospitalization were compared to those without it.Results Serum level averaged(89.1?13.6)mmol/L for CK and(7.9? 1.4)mmol/L for CK-MB in 20 patients with Class Ⅱ cardiac function by New York Heart Association (NYHA)classification and without increased cTnT,(88.2?13.4)mmol/L for CK and(7.5?1.8) mmol/L for CK-MB in 19 patients with Class Ⅲ cardiac function and four of them with increased cTnT,and (93.3?14.2)mmol/L for CK and(8.1?1.6)mmol/L for CK-MB in 21 patients with Class Ⅳ cardiac function and 14 of them with increased cTnT.Malignant cardiac arrhythemia occurred in six, repeated heart failure in eight, and death in three of 18 patients with increased cTnT,and one,two and one in 22 patients without increased cTnT,respectively.Incidence of cardiac events was higher in patients with increased cTnT than those without it(P

Objective:To investigate the effect of heavy ion beam on the invasion and metastasis associated gene RhoC expression in tongue squamous cell carcinoma Tca8113 cells. Methods:Real-time PCR and Western-blot were used to detect the expression of RhoC mRNA and RhoC protein respectively after Tca8113 cells were irradiated by heavy ion beams of 12 C6+. Results:The expression levels of RhoC mRNA in the experimental group were lower than that in the control group(P<0. 05) except for the levels at 12 h after 2 Gy and 4 Gy 12 C6+ irradiation. In addition, the expression levels of RhoC protein increased in a dose-dependent manner at 12 h af-ter irradiation, reaching a peak at 4 Gy, and subsequently decreased with the increase of irradiation dose. The expression level of RhoC protein was consistent with that of RhoC mRNA. Conclusion:Heavy ion beam of 12 C6+ may inhibit RhoC gene expression in Tca8113 cells.
