1.The Meta Analysis on the Safety and Immunogenicity of Domestic and Imported Split Influenza Virus Vaccines

Objective To compare the safety and immunogenicity between domestic and imported,imported and imported split influenza virus vaccine in Chinese population. Methods The published studies during January 1996 and June 2008 on the comparison between split influenza virus vaccine were screened and evaluated.The meta analysis was performed on safety and immunogenicity using fixed model or random model according the heterogeneity of the studies. Results 12 studies which were all random controlled trials between split vaccine were included.10 trials were between domestic and imported vaccine,and 2 trials were between imported and imported vaccine.For 10 domestic and imported vaccine trials,the local reaction pooled OR=0.81,95% CI (0.59,1.11);the systemic reaction the pooled OR=0.78,95% CI (0.50,1.03);the H1N1 subtype seroconversion pooled OR= 0.94,95% CI (0.78,1.14);the H3N2 subtype seroconversion pooled OR =1.01,95% CI (0.87,1.17);the B type seroconversion total OR= 1.35,95% CI (0.98,1.85).For 2 imported and imported vaccine trials,the local reaction pooled OR = 1.19,95% CI (0.60,2.37);the systemic reaction the pooled OR =1.15,95% CI (0.71,1.87);the H1N1 subtype seroconversion pooled OR= 1.27,95% CI (0.37,4.37);the H3N2 subtype seroconversion pooled OR= 1.29,95% CI (0.39,4.33);the B type seroconversion pooled OR= 0.95,95% CI (0.46,1.37). Conclusions There were no statistical difference on the safety and immunogenicity between domestic and imported,imported and imported split influenza vaccine in Chinese population.
2.Relationship between early brain damage in preterm infants detected by magnetic resonance imaging and neurodevelopmental outcome

Objective To investigate the relationship between early brain menifestation such as white matter damage and ventriculomegaly detected by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and adverse neurodevelopmental outcome in preterm infants.Methods From March 15,2007 to April 12,2011,122 preterm infants accepted MRI examination 8-14 days after birth in Chinese People's Liberation Army 202 Hospital.Totally,115 preterm infants were followed up at 12 months old and mental development index(MDI) and psychomotor development index (PDI) score were measured.MDI<70 was as mental dysfunction,-84 as borderline dysfunction and-114 as normal; PDI<70 was as psychomotor dysfunction,-84 as borderline dysfunction and-114 as normal.The relationship between clinical characteristics of preterm infants,MRI abnormalities and neurodevelopmental outcome were analyzed by analysis of variance,LSD and Kruskal-Wallis H test.Results The 122 premature infants included 69 males and 53 females with the median gestational age of 32 weeks(28-36 weeks)and the median birth weight of 2050 g (1270-3110 g).In 24 premature infants with mentaldysfunction,the average gestational age [(28.7 ± 1.7) weeks],birth weight[(1520.1-44.8) g] and 1 min Apgar score (5.5 ± 0.8) were all lower than those in normal infants [n =59,(33.5 ± 2.2)weeks,(2240.4 ± 47.1) g and 7.1 ± 0.8],while the average mechanical ventilation time was longer [(20.4±5.8) dvs (5.6±2.7) d](t=2.37,2.49,2.13 and 2.44,P<0.05).In 20 premature infants with psychomotor dysfunction,the average gestational age [(27.9 ±± 1.4) weeks],birth weight [(1515.6±43.7) g],1 min Apgar score (5.6t0.5) were lower than those in normal infants [n=62,(33.2±2.4) weeks,(2264.3±42.5) g and 7.2±0.6],while the mechanical ventilation time was longer [(18.2±4.7) dvs (5.3±2.2) d](t=2.28,2.52,2.09 and 2.38,P<0.05).Among thirteen preterm infants with severe white matter damage,eleven and nine developed mental or psychomotor dysfunction respectively.Among eleven preterm infants with moderate and severe ventriculomegaly,seven and six developed mental or psychomotor dysfunction respectively.The more severe the white matter damage and ventriculomegaly,the higher the incidence of mental (H=16.23 and 14.33,P<0.05) and psychomotor dysfuction (H =18.63 and 12.69,P < 0.05).Conclusions White matter damage is common in preterm infants.Prognosis of preterm infants with mental and psychomotor dysfunction is related with the degree of white matter damage and ventriculomegaly.
3.Key optimization of light source parameters of lidar system for bioaerosol detection

Objective There are three categories of bioaerosol laser telemetry systems according to the light source configuration parameters:namely traditional lidar(light datection and ranging,laser radar), micro-pulse lidar and pseudo-random modulation(lidar).The system source parameters,which impact the degree of danger and detection sensitivity of the system, need to be optimized.Methods With reference to the USA laser product safety standards and by establishing the corresponding mathematical model of a lidar, the three categories of lidar source configuration were compared according to signal to noise ratio(SNR) and security before the repetition rate, pulse energy, divergence angle, distance and other dangerous impact factors were calculated.Results The results showed that to ensure eyesafety, the use of the pulse frequency should be set at 55 kHz for the highest SNR under the micro-pulse lidar excitation mode.Conclusion The eyesafety requirements impact the excitation of light source of a bioaerosol telemetry system.
4. Strengthen operational researches on influenza polices, and promote influenza vaccination in China

This year of 2019 is the 10th anniversary of the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic, and a series of paper on epidemiology, disease burden, vaccine usage and adverse events following immunization (AEFI) incidences, cost-effectiveness of influenza vaccination, are forming an important topic of "influenza disease burden and vaccine policies" in this journal, which provide evidences and options for China's influenza prevention and control. We should continue to strengthen the operational researches on influenza prevention and control polices, increase the influenza vaccine coverage in high-risk groups, and improve the capacities of control and pandemic preparedness.
5.Design of multi-channel dry type biochemistry sensors based on fiber bundles

Objective To develop a multi-channel dry type biochemistry sensor with a compact structure and high measurement accuracy.Methods The principle of double beam compensation based on reference LED was applied to improve the measurement accuracy.The complex splitting system was replaced by MXN fiber bundle and free-form surface lens to make the instrument more compact and lightweight.Use of the adaptive amplification photoelectric detection improved the measurement accuracy while simplifying the process.Results and Conclusion It has been proved by experiments that this sensor has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, little interference and compact construction. This sensor may well meet the requirements of dry type biochemistry analysis.
6.Technology for rapid detection of trace microbes

Technology for rapid detection of trace microbes combined with flow cytometry and image cytometry is used for rapid detection of cells and microorganisms, quantification of fluorescent signals, and visualization of cells and mi-crobes.Its fast and accurate count of microorganisms plays an important role in detection of the quantity of food and water, and can help to improve residents′quality of life and health.This article describes several common methods for detecting microorganisms with emphasis on their advantages and disadvantages.Current applications and future developlments are also discussed.
7.Analysis on the causes of unscheduled suspensions of knee and hip arthroplasty

Objective:To analyze and summarize the causes of unscheduled suspension of knee and hip arthroplasty and to provide the method for optimizing the patient's pre-operative management and improving the efficiency of medical resources as well as the patient's satisfaction.Methods: The data for this report was retrospectively collected from September 2013 to August 2014 in our hospital,from cases of knee and hip arthroplasty that were suspended before the scheduled operation time.Acquisition data from the collected cases including the patients' gender,age and the surgical procedure.At the same time,the suspension reasons were recorded and analyzed.All the decisions of suspension was made by the surgeons and the anesthesiologists according to the abnormal result of preoperative examinations,after communicating with the patients and their families and obtaining their understandings.Results: In the collecting period,our department scheduled 1 146 cases of knee and hip arthroplasty,among which 1 003 were completed,143 suspended (12.5% suspension rate).Among the causes of suspension,the top four common causes were cardiovascular disease (44/143,31%),other infections (20/143,14%),bacteriuria (18/143,13%) and inappropriate surgical indication (16/143,11%).Other causes include surgeon's reason,Blood system abnormalities,high inflammatory index,deep vein thrombosis,other diseases uncontrolled,abnormal liver function and poor diabetes mellitus control,etc.For the rate of suspension,there was no significant difference between the patients with different genders (male: 15.0%,and female: 11.7%,P=0.149),or age (≤50 years: 13.0%;51-65 years: 11.6%;66-80 years 13.3%;>80 years 11.1%;P=0.864).However compared with knee arthroplasty,hip arthroplasty had a higher suspension rate (knee arthroplasry 11.1%,hip arthroplasry 16.1%,P=0.021).Conclusion: It is important to educate and manage the patients before their knee and hip arthroplasty.Through clear diagnosis,detailed medical history analysis careful physical examination,and targeted outpatient examinations and tests for which priority was focused on cardiovascular or other system diseases we could minimize the occurrence of operative suspension post hospitalization,therefore improving the efficiency of the use of medical resources.
8.Mutations in SLC26A4 Gene and Relevant Phenotype Analysis in Fifty-nine Cases of Enlargement of Vestibular Aqueduct(EVA)Syndrome Children in Guangdong District

Objective The molecular etiology of hearing impairment in Guangdong District has not been thor-oughly investigated.SCL26A4 gene mutation and relevant phenotype were analyzed in this study.Methods The coding exons of SLC26A4 were analyzed in 59 EVA cases.Those SLC26A4 gene mutations patients were examined by temporal bone CT.Results Fifty-nine cases were SLC26A4 mutations deafness patients,and 21 cases (35. 59%)and 38 cases (64.41%)patients with SLC26A4 biallelic allele (compound homozygous or heterozygous)and monoallelic gene mutation,including 16 cases of SLC26A4 gene IVS7-2 A> G homozygous mutations,2 cases of 2168A>G homozygous mutations and 3 cases of IVS7-2A>G,2168 A > G compound heterozygous mutations in children with CT showing bilateral enlarged vestibular aqueduct or other types of inner ear malformations.Thirty-one patients were IVS7-2A>G heterozygous for SLC26A4 mutation and seven 2168 A > G heterozygous muta-tion.Four patients with SLC26A4 gene mutations were confirmed to have enlarged vestibular aqueduct with Mondini dysplasia.Two patients with normal phenotype ,and others were enlarged vestibular aqueduct.Conclusion Muta-tions in the SLC26A4 gene with enlarged vestibular aqueduct patients were frequently found in Guangdong District.IVS7-2A>G mutations rate were highest,followed by 2168 A > G.We established the new strategy that detects SLC26A4 mutations prior to the temporal bone CT scan to find enlarged vestibular aqueduct and inner ear malforma-tion patients .
9.Avian influenza A(H7N9) and the closure of live bird markets

On 31 March 2013, the National Health and Family Planning Commission, China notified the World Health Organization of three cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H7N9) from Shanghai and Anhui.1 By 8 May, 131 cases, including 26 deaths, had been notified from 11 provinces/municipalities.1,2 The majority (81%) of reported cases were from Shanghai municipality and Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces. Available data indicate that more than three quarters of cases (59/77, 76%) had recent exposure to animals. Among these, 58% (34/59) had direct contact with chickens and 64% (38/59) visited a live bird market (LBM).3 Provincial and national authorities in China have collected more than 80 000 samples from LBMs, poultry slaughter houses, poultry farms, wild bird habitats, pig slaughter houses and their environments. As of 7 May, 50 samples were positive for avian influenza A(H7N9): 39 samples from poultry from LBMs in Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Shanghai and Zhejiang provinces/municipalities (26 chickens, three ducks, four pigeons, six unknown) and 11 environmental samples from LBMs in Shanghai, Henan and Shandong provinces.4 None of the samples from poultry farms or pigs were positive
10.Construction and screening of a cDNA expresssion library of Clonorchis sinensis adult worm

In order to screen antigenic genes of Clonorchis sinensis (C.sinensis).Firstly,a cDNA expression library from adult worms of C.sinensis was successfully constructed with lambda ZAP express vector.Total RNA of C.sinensis adult worms were extracted by the Trizol reagent and mRNA were further purified through oligo-dT cellulose.The first strand eDNA was synthesized by using MMLV reverse transcriptase.After the synthesis of the second strand,the cDNA were purified by CHROMA SPIN-400 kit and then ligated with lambda ZAP express vector,then packaged in vitro and amplified.The original library contained 1.5 × 106 pfu cDNA clones,the titer of amplified library reached 1.5 × 1010 pfu/mL,in which about 99% clones were recombinants and most of insert DNA fragments were 0.4-2.0 kb.Secondly,immunoscreened using the naturely infected man serum from C.sinensis.The positive clones were sequenced and analyzed.From 2.0 × 105 recombinant clones of the eDNA library,41 positive clones were obtained.Sequence analysis indicated that the cDNAs encoded proteins including glycine rich antigen 2,proline rich antigen 2 and antigen Cs44 from C.sinensis,anothers were lower similarity to predicted protein from Nematostella vectensis,transcription elongation factor GreA from Bartonella quintana str.Toulouse and NM_132090 CG3446 gene product in Drosophila melanogaster from Schistosoma japonicum.These data may form a foundation for identifying recombinant antigens that can be used in the diagnosis or vaccination against clonorchiasis.
