International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(14):1846-1847,1850
Objective To explore the value of the combined detection of four tumor markers of serum CA125,CA153,CA199 and CEA in the diagnosis of epithelial ovarian carcinoma(EOC).Methods The serum levels of CA125,CA153,CA199 and CEA were detected before operation in 54 cases of ovarian cancer and 68 cases of ovarial benign lesion and 55 healthy women as the con-trol group,by using chemiluminescent immunoassay(CLIA).The statistical software SPSS 13.0 and MedCalc 10.4.0.0 were used to retrospectively analyze the results. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the single index detection and the com-bined detection were calculated. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of CA125 were 96.3%,64.7% and 78.7% respectively, which were higher than other single index′s.In the combine detection, the sensitivity and accuracy of the combined detection of CA125 and CA153 were 99.1% and 79.5% respectively, which were higher than those in the optimal single index CA125 and the other combined detection(P <0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of CA125 and CA153 is superior to the CA125 single in-dex detection in the diagnostic value for EOC.

Objective To evaluate the effect of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS)in diagnosing e- sophageal and gastric varices in portal hypertension(PHT)patients. Methods Fifty-three patients with e- sophageal and gastric varices(EV、GV)of decompensation PHT and 20 patients without PHT as control were undergone EUS and esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD)simultaneously.EUS detected mainly the EGV,e- sophagus and stomach collateral veins. Results EUS identified EV endoscopically in 29(54.7%)patients. EUS detected GV in 24(45.3%)patients,compared with detection in 18(34.0%)patients by esopha- gogastroduodenoscopy(EGD)(P<0.001).EUS detected PEV in 27(51%)patients.Distribution rates of PEV in F1,F2 and F3 are 0%,28.6% and 75% respectively. The comparison between groups shows sig- nificant difference(P<0.001).Splenic vein can be seen in both control and experimental groups with di- ameter 7.5?1.35mm VS 11.5?3.5mm respectively, the difference between two groups is significant(P<0.001).Proximal diameters of Azygos vein in two groups is 7.36?1.29mm VS 8.77?2.94mm respective- ly.Significant difference can be found(P<0.05).Conclusion EUS had significant value in the diagnosis of PHT with EV and GV,and especially in detecting abnormalities of extra-luminal veins.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 1988;0(04):-
Objective To probe into the significance and role of double testing of blood for virus markers. Methods The data on the results of routine blood testing at some blood centers in China from July to December,1999 were gathered and analysed. The blood donors with inconsistent results during the double testing were followed up and their blood samples were collected at least half a year later.Nucleic acid amplification testing(NAT) was performed on the samples. Results Only 0.63% of the donors showed inconsistent results during the double testing. Most of the positive results were false positive. Conclusion The double testing currently implemented does not help significantly improve the quality of the blood supply. It is important to enhance blood safety further by improvement of quality of the reagents and introduction of NAT.

China Pharmacy 1991;0(06):-
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics and causes of adverse drug reactions (ADR) in Jiangxi region in order to improve the rational use of drug in clinic. METHODS: A total of 10 033 cases of ADR reports collected in Jiangxi region in 2008 were classified and analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The ADR were predominantly induced by antimicrobial drugs (53.76%), followed by TCM preparation (16.68%). Intravenous administration was the main cause of ADR(65.45%). 225 case of severe ADR reports accounted for 2.24% and 412 cases of new ADR reports 4.11%. 99 cases of severe ADR were characterized by the systematic damages.12 death cases and 12 sequelae cases were involved in 225 cases of severe ADR reports. CONCLUSION: Great importance should be attached to ADR monitoring, reporting and publicizing to promote rational use of drug in clinic.

The near infrared ( NIR ) spectra of 76 batches of the amoxicillin capsules from different manufacturers and their corresponding content powder without capsules cell were used to find some quantitative indicators to evaluate whether the piecewise direct standardization ( PDS ) algorithm succeeded in NIR quantitative model updating. 54 batches were used to construct the NIR quantitative model for capsule preparation. All the NIR spectra of amoxicillin capsules were divided into five classes by cluster analysis, and each class can be regarded as a homology sample set. The average spectrum for each homology sample set was calculated. Ten to Fifteen spectra were selected from each homology sample set as the corresponding master spectra of the PDS algorithm to correct all the NIR spectra of the amoxicillin content powder respectively. Then the corrected spectra were predicted by the constructed NIR quantitative model for amoxicillin capsules. The prediction error for each corrected powder spectrum, and the correlation coefficient between each corrected powder spectrum and the average spectrum of the corresponding homolog sample set which the PDS master spectra came from, were calculated. Finally, the relationship between the prediction error and its corresponding correlation coefficient were studied. It was found that the correction results correlated closely with the selected master spectra set in PDS algorithm. The bigger the correlation coefficient ( r) , the better the correction results. In general, when r is less than 99%, it can be judged that the PDS correction is failed. At this condition, the prediction error is often more than 5%. Therefore, the correlation coefficient between the corrected spectrum and its corresponding average spectrum of the homology sample set can be used as an indicator to evaluate the efficiency of the PDS correction.
10. ITS sequences and phylogenetic relationships of dandelions from different areas
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(9):687-690
OBJECTIVE: To study the genetic characteristics and phylogenetic relationships of dandelions of 20 populations by sequencing ITS sequence. METHODS: The ITS sequence was amplified by PCR with universal primer of ITS, and the ITS sequence of the PCR products was directly sequenced after purification. RESULTS: The total length of ITS sequence of different samples was 711 bp. The ITS sequence was divided into three fragments; ITS1 was 225 bp, 5.8S was 262 bp and ITS2 was 226 bp. In all samples 5.8S was comparatively conserved, while ITS1 and ITS2 had higher diversity in base sequence among the various specimens. CONCLUSION: ITS sequence can be used to analyze the phylogenetic relationships of different varieties of dandelions.
