Early diagnosis is the key factor to improve the cure rate and the survival rate of prostate cancer. This article reviewed the main diagnostic techniques of prostate cancer and related progress in research and clinical application.

Objective: To observe the efficacy of acupoint sticking with Jianpi Tongjing Zhitong ointment in the treatment of functional dyspepsia due to liver-qi stagnation and spleen deficiency and its effect on serum 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and ghrelin contents. Methods: One hundred patients with functional dyspepsia due to liver-qi stagnation and spleen deficiency were divided into a treatment group and a control group by the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The treatment group received acupoint sticking with Jianpi Tongjing Zhitong ointment and the control group was treated with mosapride citrate orally. Patients were treated for 4 weeks as a course. The therapeutic efficacy was compared after one-course treatment and the differences in gastric emptying rate, and serum 5-HT and ghrelin contents between groups were compared before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 79.6％ in the control group and 89.4％ in the treatment group, showing significantly different between groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the gastric emptying rate and serum ghrelin content of the two groups increased significantly, and the serum 5-HT content decreased significantly, the intra-group differences were significant (all P<0.01). After treatment, the gastric emptying rate and serum ghrelin content were significantly higher in the treatment group than those in the control group, while the serum 5-HT was significant lower in the treatment group, the inter-group differences were significant (all P<0.05). A negative correlation (r=-0.59) was observed between serum 5-HT content and gastric emptying rate, and a positive correlation (r=0.64) was observed between serum ghrelin content and gastric emptying rate, showing statistical significance (all P<0.01). Conclusion: Acupoint sticking with Jianpi Tongjing Zhitong ointment has a remarkable clinical efficacy in treating patients with functional dyspepsia due to liver-qi stagnation and spleen deficiency and is able to influence the secretion of serum 5-HT and ghrelin. Improving the gastrointestinal motility through the regulation of related brain-gut peptides is suggested as an underlying mechanism for this therapy.

Objective To evaluate the value of imaging means on preoprative diagnosis for patients with malignant obstruction of the biliary and pancreatic ducts.[WT5”HZ]Method [WT5”BZ]44 cases underwent preoperative MR/MRCP/MRA examination. The accurate rate of diagnosis was compared with that derived from B us, CT and ERCP. Results 28 of 44 cases were diagnosed as with pancreatic and periampullary carcinoma, 5 cases as with pancreatic body and tail carcinoma,11 cases as with biliary duct carcinoma. The accurate rates of MR/MRCP/MRA for tumor locating and cause were 100% and 96% respectively. Blood vessel invasion, adjacent organ infiltration and matastasis were detected preoperatively in 17 cases. In contrast, the accurate rate for tumor locating and cause were 82% and 76% with CT, 73% and 68% with B us, 96% and 84% with ERCP. [WT5”HZ]Conclusions [WT5”BZ] MR/ MRCP /MRA combined has advantage over B us, CT and ERCP in preoperative diagnosis especially for detecting organ matastasis and blood vessel infiltration. It has an important value in the establishment of tumor staging and decision making of clinical therapy.

Histone modification participates in the occurrence and development of the diseases though affecting gene transcrip-tion activity by acetylation,methylation,phosphorylation,and other forms.It is an important field in the study of epigenetics. Numerous studies have demonstrated that histone modification plays an important role in the occurrence and development of liv-er diseases.This paper reviews the recent progress in under-standing the role and mechanisms of histone modification in alco-holic liver disease,nonalcoholic fatty liver disease,viral hepati-tis,liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma,with an aim to provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of liver diseases and drug development.

Objective To explore the application of implantable venous access port(IVAP)in tumor patients.Methods Overall,246 tumor patients were enrolled.The clinical application and nursing of IVAPs were reviewed retrospectively.Results IVAPs were implanted successfully in all 246 patients.Complications included thrombosis in 10 patients,infection in 6,blockage in 1 and leakage in another.IVAPs were removed from 15 patients with complications.Conclusions The prevention and management of complications in IVAP are important for the patients embedded with IVAP.

Objective To research the effects of tianeptine and lithium on expression of pCREB in hippocampus of chronic stress depression rats. Methods All the experimental rats were divided by random into : Group of depression,Group of tianeptine,Group of lithium and Group of control. The rats of Group of depression, Group of tianeptine and Group of lithium were applied stress for 21 days,and meanwhile Group of control had no stress. The rats of Group of tianeptine were fed with tianeptine (50 mg/kg) , Group of lithium were fed with lithium (60 mg/kg) , while another groups were fed with normal sodium of the same volume. The ethology examination was performed by using method of open-field and experiment of fluid consumption. The expression of pCREB was detected by Western-blotting method. Results After the chronic stress,the horizontal crossing numbers,the erection times,the modification times and the percentage of sacchar-consumption of the rats of Group of depression were 23.2±23.0;8. 1 ±7.2; 3.6 ±3.5 and (55.4 ±11.7)% respectively, which were less than Group of control (46.0±18.9;20.3±11.3;8.4±2.7 and (68.5 ±8.2)% ; P＜0.01). The horizontal crossing numbers(28. 1 ±23.0) ,the erection times(12. 1 ± 9.4) and the modification times(5.5 ±3.2) of Group of tianeptine are less than those of Group of control (P ＜ 0. 05), but no significant difference compared with Group of depression; the percentage of sacchar-consumption(62.7 ± 10.6) % ,Group of tianeptine was more than Group of depression (P＜ 0.05 ) , but no obvious difference with Group of control. The horizontal crossing numbers, the erection times, the modification times and the percentage of sacchar-consumption of Group of lithium were less than those of Group of control (P ＜ 0.05), more than those of Group of depression but no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05). In Westernblotting method,the level of pCREB in the hippocampus of Group of depression was less than that of Group of control (P＜ 0.01); that of Group of tianeptine was more than that of Group of depression (P ＜ 0.01) but no obvious difference with Group of control; that of Group of lithium was less than that of Group of control (P＜0. 01) and more than Group of depression (P＜0.01). Conclusion Tianeptine could reverse the reduction of expression of pCREB in hippocampus of chronic stress depression rats and lithium partly did it.

Cyanobacterial toxins may pose a threat to human health through drinking water and recreational water exposure. The official guideline limits of cyanobacterial toxins have not been established. The human health effects, exposure routes, possible guideline limits and calculation method were introduced in the present paper. The knowledge will provide a base to undertake risk management for the toxins and will also contribute to establishing official guideline limits of cyanobacterial toxins in water and will be benefit for ensuring the safety of drinking water.
