1.Progress in research on antioxidants and obesity
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
It has been reported that the level of antioxidants is lower in obese patients compared with that in normal weight subjects. Important antioxidants, vitamin E and ?-carotene, are lowered in obese adults and children, which may cause lipid super oxidation and are associated with atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction. Copper and zinc are trace elements that compose parts of enzymes such as CuZn-superoxide dismutase (CuZn-SOD) which can scavenge free radicals. Plasma copper and zinc levels are lowered in obese individuals, which may lead to abnormality in glucose metabolism.
2.Transformation of Knowledge and Higher Learning Reform——On the Perspective of Postmodernism
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(03):-
From the viewpoint of postmodernism, thinkers believe that the normal form of knowledge has changed from modern-knowledge form to Post-Modernism form.Modern-knowledge form has to face the challenge to its objectivity, generality and value-neutrality.As a result,it has a significant impact on the traditional system of higher education, which leads to another historical reform in higher learning.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the management targets of hospital drug sto rehouse.METHODS:Theory of physical distribution management was applied in combination with the actual situation of hospitals, the professional characteristic of hospital pharmacy, the functional characteristic of pharmaceutical legislation and the commercial characteristic of drug distri?bution were analyzed.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:The management targets of hospital drug storehouse must accord with the mission of hospital and embody its social effects as well as the economic returns.
4.Research progress in clinical use of LCarnitine
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2004;0(05):-
L-Carnitine plays an essential role in the transfer of long chain fatty acids from the cytoplasm of a cell into the mitochondrion, where they undergo ?-oxidation.Carnitine deficiency is characterized by plasma and tissue carnitine concentrations below those required for the normal functions of the organism, including cardiomyopathy, myopathy, hypoketonemia, hypoglycemia, hyperammonemia.Studies show that supplement of carnitine could improve the clinical symptoms of some diseases.
5.Clinical observation on fibrin glue application during pterygium surgery
International Eye Science 2015;(2):364-366
AlM: To observe the clinical results of pterygium excision combined with conjunctival autograft transplantation using fibrin glue.METHODS:A total of 60 patients (60 eyes) with primary nasal pterygium were randomly divided into two groups:the fibrin glue group ( experimental group, 30 eyes) and suture group ( control group, 30 eyes ) . All patients underwent pterygium excision combined with conjunctival autograft transplantation. ln the experimental group autograft was attached to sclera with fibrin glue while in control group 10-0 polyamide was used. The patients were followed up for 6mo. The time of operation, post operation comfort, complications and recurrence were evaluated.RESULTS:The average surgical time was 24. 5 ± 6. 5min with fibrin glue group while 35. 2 ± 5. 4min with suture group, with statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0. 05). Pain and foreign body sensation was significantly less with fibrin glue group than that in the control group ( P < 0. 05 ). No severe postoperative complication occurred both in two groups. The incidence of subconjunctival hemorrhage in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05). 1 case (3%) of fibrin glue group, 3 cases (10%) of suture group had recurrence at the end of follow up 6mo.CONCLUSlON:lt's a safe and effective way to attach conjunctival autograft during pterygium surgery by fibrin glue. lt can reduce surgical time, postoperative complications and relieve postoperative discomfort.
6.Clinical Study of Correlation between Helicobacter Pylori Infection and Iron Deficiency Anemia in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(18):-
Objective To study the relationship between helicobocter pylori(Hp)infection and iron deficiency anemia(IDA)in children. Methods Children who had upper digestive symptom were had gastroscopy examination and Hp test.According to the examination results, all the patients were divi-ded into 2 groups, the observation group and the control group. All patients were detected blood routine, serum iron(SI),serum ftrritin(SF)and total iron-binding capacity(TIBC).Results The IDA morbidity was 52.27%(23/44 cases)in obsorvation group and 17.39%(8/46 cases)in control group, there was obvious difference between two groups(?2=12.12 P

Objective To research the reversal effects of psoralen on multidrug resistant action and its influence on intracellular Ca2+ concentration in MCF-7/ADR cells and to explore its possible mechanisms of reversing multidrug resistance (MDR). Methods The inhibitory effects of psoralen on the viability of MCF-7/ADR cells were determined with MTT assay, intracellular adriamycin (ADR) concentration was assayed with HPLC and the intracellular Ca2+ concentrations in different incubative duration were detected with confocal microscope. Results Psoralen from 1 to 20 μmol/L reduced the value of IC50 of ADR in MCF-7/ADR cells, enhanced accumulation of ADR and influenced Ca2+ concentration with a negative correlation in different duration (24 h, 48 h and 96 h). Conclusion Psoralen can reverse MDR in MCF-7/ADR cells and its mechanism may be related to the increase of the intracellular accumulation of ADR by enhancing the intracellular Ca2+ concentration.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(11):1020-1025
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a most common inherited renal disease, about 50% with a family history, although the exact etiology not yet clear. To date, ADPKD, a multisystem disorder without effective preventive and therapeutic means, has been shown to be detrimental to human health. Recent studies show that severe oligoasthenozoospermia, necrospermia, immotile sperm, azoospermia, epididymal cyst, seminal vesicle cyst, and ejaculatory duct cyst found in male ADPKD patients may lead to male infertility, though the specific mechanisms remain unknown. Structural anomaly of spermatozoa, defect of polycystin, mutation of PKD genes, and micro-deletion of the AZF gene could be the reasons for the higher incidence of abnormal semen quality in male ADPKD patients. Assisted reproductive techniques can increase the chances of pregnancy, whereas the health of the offspring should be taken into consideration. This article presents an overview of reproductive issues concerning infertile male ADPKD patients from the perspective of the morbidity, pathophysiological mechanism, diagnosis, and management of the disease.

Herald of Medicine 2014;(10):1261-1263,1264
Objective 4-Hydroxyisoleucine (4-HIL) is the active component isolated from the seeds of Trigonella foenum-graecum. It exerts broad pharmacological effects such as anti-hyperglycemia,blood lipid lowing, improvement of insulin resistance, etc. As the Chinese traditional medicine,it can be used clinically in treating many diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver and other diseases. Here the current research status and application prospect on 4-Hydroxyisoleucine were summarized.
