Contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)can afford more information of the vascularization of pancreatic tumors.Adenocarcinomas are often hypovascularized as compared with surrounding tissue,while neuroendocrine tumors are hypervascularized lesions.The most common enhancement pattern of masses associated with pancreatitis ale isovascularizatiom CEUS can improve the diagnosis and differential diagnosis ability in pancreatic tumors.The clinical application value of CEUS is significant.

Objective To investigate the application of ureteral catheter in complicated gynecological laparoscopic surgery for the prevention of ureteral injury . Methods A total of 182 cases of gynecological laparoscopic surgery performed from January 2009 to November 2011 were selected as study group .Bilateral ureteral catheters were inserted under cystoscopy , and then laparoscopic surgery was performed under the instruction of the catheter .The catheter was immediately removed after the surgery .A total of 200 cases of laparoscopic surgery were selected as control group and preoperative ureteral catheterization was not applied in this group .The incidence rate of ureteral injury was compared between the two groups . Results The success rate of bilateral ureteral catheterization in the study group was 98.9%(180/182)and no ureteral injury occurred .In the control group, ureteral injury was found in 2 cases, which were converted to open surgery for ureter repair and double J stent was retained .The 2 cases recovered 2 months after the surgery.Bladder injury was found in 2 cases during the surgery , which received immediate repair assisted by surgeons from the department of urinary surgery and recovered 2 months after postoperative catheterization . No statistical difference was found in complication rate between the two groups ( P=0.125 ) . Conclusion The application of ureteral catheterization in complicated gynecological laparoscopic surgery can reduce the risk of intraoperative ureteral injury .

Objective To study the effects of γ-aminobutyric acid ( GABA) and sertraline on the CABAA(α) receptor and GABAB receptor of hippocampus neuron in rats of depression induced by acute stress. Methods The cognitive function of male SD (Sprague-Dawley) rats was screened through Y-maze. Then rats were randomly divided into five groups. Except control group,rats were injected intraperitoneally with double-distilled, GABA,sertraline or GABA + sertraline respectively. They were exposed to the forced-swimming stress test,which was to make acute stress model of depression. The space memory function in the maze was measured. Then the number of GABA-like immunoreactive neurons in hippocampus CA1 ,CA3 ,DG areas of rats were investigated with immunohistochemist. Results Compared with the model group,the immobility time in the forced-swimming test and the latency in the maze could be reduced significantly after pretreatment with GABA and sertraline (P < 0.01). The positive cell populations of CA1 ,CA3 region and DG gate region in the model group were significantly reduced compared with the control group (P<0.01). GABA could only improve the positive cell populations of GABAB receptor in CA3 region (P<0.01). In the sertraline group,the positive cell populations in hippocampus were increased obviously more than it in model group(P<0.01). The positive cell populations of hippocampus in the GABA + sertraline group in CA1 ( (82.83±8.72),(78.08±5.67)),in CA3((92.83±9.35),(76.00±3.97)),in the gate of DG( (35.00 ±1.41) ,(33.33±4.36)) increased significantly to the other groups (P< 0.05 or 0.01). Conclusion Ectogenic GABA could improve the sertraline' s effects of antagonizing acute depression effectively and the space memory function,and its mechanism may be involved in strengthening the expression of GABAA(α) receptor and GABAB receptor in hippocampus.

With acupuncture depth as a perspective, some related issues are discussed in this paper. Firstly, the possible reasons of divergence on needling depth are explained. Secondly, by literature retrieval, the advantages and disadvantages of the clinical efficacy of deep needling and shallow needling are explored, and the essential value of shallow needling is emphasized in promoting acupuncture. Thirdly, due to the placebo acupuncture that led to the controversy of the curative effect of acupuncture, it is crucial to establish a method of modern system of scientific research which should be suitable for the development of acupuncture. Finally, the "cun" in acupuncture is inappropriate to transform into millimeter, and the standardization of acupuncture should focus on the improvement of curative efficacy. From the acupuncture depth, it is clear that there are plenty of problems in acupuncture, which could not only limit the development of acupuncture, but also affect the future of acupuncture.

In order to assess whether gene transfection could be mediated by ultrasound in association with P85 and find the appropriate parameters of ultrasound irradiation, the effects of ultrasound with or without P85 on gene transfection of HepG2 cells were examined. The HepG2 cells were irradiated by ultrasound at 1 MHz, 0.4-2.0 W/cm(2) and 50% duty cycle with plasmid encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) as a report gene. Forty-eight h later, the expression of EGFP was detected under the fluorescence microscopy. Transfection efficacy was quantitatively assessed by flow cytometry, and cell viability was evaluated by trypan blue exclusion. The results showed that the transfection efficacy was increased with the increases in ultrasound output power and the ideal transfection efficacy was achieved in HepG2 cells irradiated by ultrasound at 0.8 W/cm(2) for 30 s. The transfection efficacy in ulstrasound+P85 group was three times higher than in single ultrasound group [(17.63+/-1.07)% vs (5.57+/-0.56)%, P<0.05]. The cell viability was about 81% and 62% in ultrasound group and ultrasound+P85 group respectively. It was concluded that ultrasound in combination with P85 could mediate the gene transfection of HepG2 cells, ideal transfection efficacy was achieved by ultrasound irradiation at 0.8 W/cm(2) for 30 s, and P85 could somewhat increase the damage to cells caused by ultrasound.

OBJECTIVE:To identify the influence of twisting or untwisting Taixi(K13) on the brain function by observing functional mag-netic resonance imaging.METHODS:Twelve healthy young cases were enrolled in this research.A block design including three blocks which baseline and stimulation appear alternately was adapted.In stimulation phase,the needle was twisted manually,or not twisted.Scanned images were analyzed using SPM2.RESULTS:The right superior temporal gyrus(BA22),left medial frontal gyrus(BA46),followed by right and left postcentral gyrus of parietal lobe(BA2,BA3),left inferior frontal gyrus(BA45) and left inferior parietal lobule(BA40) were evoked by acu-puncture at Taixi,but there was no activeation area after untwisting acupoint.CONCLUSION:The different areas evoked by twisting or untwisting Taixi acupoint are closely related with the internal organs as well as the course of the channels and collaterals.

OBJECTIVE To explore the risk factors of lower respiratory tract nosocomial infection in geriatrics patients after abdominal operation and the measures of prevention and control.METHODS The medical records of the 470 cases with abdominal operation from Jan 2003 to Sep 2006 were investigated retrospectively with prospective monitoring.RESULTS Among 470 cases,119 suffered from hospital infection,62 suffered from lower respiratory tract hospital infection,the infection rate being 13.19% and occupied 52.10% of the total number of the hospital infection in the abdominal operation.CONCLUSIONS Invasive operation,such as nasogastric tube,intubation,inhaling oxygen,sputum drawing out,cannulization,tracheotomy,and use of respirator after operation,lying in bed,vomit,using proton pump inhibitors,and underlying diseases are the causes of the lower respiratory tract hospital infection.To enhance the monitoring and control of the risk factors,we can decrease the rate of lower respiratory tract infection and mortality in geriatrics patients after abdominal operation.

Objective To study the effects of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and sertraline on the cognition functions in acute stressed rats.Methods Y-type maze were used to test the cognitive function of Male SD (Sprague-Dawley) rats.They were exposed to the forced-swimming stress test,which was to make acute stress model of depression.Except control group,rats were pretreated with different doses of GABA and/or sertraline,then the time of immobility in the forced-swimming test and latency in the maze were observed individual.Results Compared with the model group[(1404.33±129.46)s] ,GABA could decrease the immobility time obviously in the forced-swimming test [(432.33±187.64) s ＞ (332.50±217.23) s,P ＜ 0.01].Otherwise the immobility time was prolonged with 0.50 g/kg GABA + 10 mg/kg sertraline (1086.17±411.80) s (P ＜ 0.05).Compared with the control group(105.00±32.18)s,the latency in the maze was prolonged remarkably in the model group (179.17±8.54) s(P＜ 0.05).Pretreatment with 10 mg/kg sertraline(100.30±21.01) s or GABA and sertraline groups (69.83±16.89) s,(86.83±13.11) s (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01) could decrease the latency.Conclusion GABA could play its role of antagonizing acute depression.Meanwhile,pretreatment with appropriate doses of GABA and sertraline not ordy could decrease doses of two drugs but also improve the cognitive function in the acute stress rats.

Objective To observe the application effect of the Iodophors hygro-gauze on tracheotomy wound dressing. Methods Fifty patients who underwent tracheotomy with Ⅲ incision, were chosen to be divided into the control group and the observation group with 25 in each group. With saline water cleaning incision and surrounding skin, then disinfection with 0.5% iodophors sanitizers tampon. The observation group applied 0.5% Iodophors hygro-gauze on the wound, the control group used vaseline oil yarn. 24 hours after sample inspection, again samples were sent for bacteria analysis, bacterial colonies number, pathogenic bacteria growth and local situation of wound were observed and analyzed. Results The first results upon disinfection showed that bacterial colonies number, pathogenic bacteria growth between the two groups had no difference. After 24 hours sampling showed that the colony count and pathogenic bacteria growth of the observation group was obviously less than the control group. Local wound infection of the observation group was lighter than the control group. Conclusions 0.5% Iodophors hydro-gauze applied for tracheotomy wound dressing can effectively kill various pathogenic microorganism, prevent secondary infection, and also can prevent and treat wound infection.

Objective To study the metabolic characteristics of temporal lobe injury during the radiotherapy in the elderly with nasopharyngeal carcinoma through 1H- magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). Methods The 15 aged and 23 young cases among 80 cases with nasopharyngeal carcinoma confirmed clinically and receiving radiotherapy for the first time were involved in the same period of July 2006 to May 2009. Conventional MRI scanning and bilateral temporal MRS were performed before and during radiotherapy at radiation dosages of 20 Gy, 40 Gy, and 60 Gy respectively. The spectroscopy morphology and the ratios of the three main metabolites were compared and analyzed. Results The values of N-acetylasparate (NAA)/creatine (Cr) was lower and choline-containing compound (Cho)/Cr ratio was higher in aged group than in young group before radiotherapy (P＞0.05). The spectroscopy morphology stepped down, NAA, Cho, NAA/Cr, Cho/Cr and NAA/Cho decreased to some extent along with the adding of radiation dosages in the course of radiotherapy. At the end of radiotherapy, the decreased amplitude of NAA/Cr value was larger in aged group than in control group (P＜0.01), and the amplitude of Cho/Cr value was lower than other group. Conclusions The neurons of aged patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma have a weak tolerance to the radiation, brain injury occurs earlier and heavier in aged patients than in young patients. It is necessary to prevent neuron injury early.
