AIM: To study the effects of taurine on ATP sensitive potassium channel (IK_~-ATP ) during hypoxia in single ventricular myocyte. METHODS: The model of myocardial hypoxia was induced by unmixed and saturated nitrogen. IK_~-ATP activities were measured by whole-cell patch clamp recording. RESULTS: Activities of IK_~-ATP in the cell membrane of hypoxia ventricular myocyte significantly increased, compared to that in the normal. Extracellular injection of taurine (5,10,20 mmol/L) inhibited the increase in the IK_~-ATP activity in the hypoxia myocardium in a concentration-depend manner. Injection of taurine also recovered shorten APD during hypoxia. CONCLUSIONS: Taurine produces its cardioprotective effect by inhibiting the activity of IK_~-ATP in the hypoxia cardiomycytes of guinea pig. The results suggest that the depletion of taurine during myocardial hypoxia contributes to the early activation of the K_~ATP channel. [

To explore the audiological features in children who were sever sensorineural hearing loss infected with rubella virus. There were two cases of rubella virus infection in children who were deaf, they conducted the distortion product otoacoustic emission, ABR and auditory steady-state evoked response (ASSR) examination, then analyzed the results comprehensively. Two patients' mothers were prompted to have infected rubella virus during the early three months pregnant period by history and laboratory tests. The two patients were not detected deafness gene mutation. Audiology results implied the two patients were very severe binaural sensorineural deafness, so they were recommended to equipped with hearing aids and cochlear implant surgery. Early pregnancy women infected with rubella virus can cause very severe offspring sensorineural deafness. The crowd whose mother were suspected to infect with rubella virus in early pregnancy, that should be tracked and detected hearing in order to achieve early detection, early intervention and early treatment.

Acupuncture therapy for regaining consciousness activates soreness, numbness, distention, heaviness, radiating and moving, electric shock and ant climbing sensations at the specific acupoints in the stroke patients. Radiating and moving sensations are the summary of needling sensations such as soreness, numbness and twitching presenting during lifting and thrusting manipulation. These sensations are the essential factors of the therapeutic effect of regaining consciousness. Radiating sensation refers to the conduction along meridians and radiation of soreness and numbness. Moving sensation refers to the local muscular twitching at acupoints and the involuntary movement of limbs, joints and the distal. Acupuncture at the specific acupoints achieves radiating and moving sensations for promoting the circulation in meridians, regulating qi and mind and balancing yin and yang in stroke patients. This therapy was introduced in the paper in view of acupoint location, needle insertion and manipulation.

AIM:To observe the expression of Smad7 and Smad ubiquition regulatory factor-Smurf2 in rat glomerular mesangial cells (GMC) stimulated by the high concentration of glucose,and to investigate the effect of the ubiquition on Smad signaling by adding MG132 as a proteasome differential inhibitor. METHODS:Cultured rat GMC were divided into normal group (the concentration of glucose:5.6 mmol/L),high glucose group (20 mmol/L,30 mmol/L,respectively),therapy group (30 mmol/L glucose with MG132). The expressions of Smurf2 and Smad7 in each group were measured by indirect immunofluorescence and laser scanning confocal microscope. RESULTS:(1) The expression of Smurf2 in GMC in normal group was weak (25.93?3.35) whereas the expression of Smad7 was strong (64.09?7.43). OBJECTIVE To explore the early intervention effect in autism spectrum disorders children with dysaudia. METHODS Three cases of child with language barrier were diagnosed with dysaudia by acoustic impedance test, distortion otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) and short sound auditory brainstem response test (ABR). They were diagnosed with autism pectrum disorders through further test. They were matched with hearing aid, and took speech rehabilitation training, followed-up one year to observe the language communication effect. RESULTS After one year of treatment with hearing aid, both CAP and SIR score increased. CONCLUSION Autism spectrum disorders children with dysaudia can get better language exchange by early intervention with hearing aid and speech rehabilitation training.

OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical effects of acupuncture method of "Huoxue Sanfeng, Shugan Jianpi" (activating blood and eliminating wind, soothing liver and strengthening spleen) on morning blood pressure in patients with cerebral infraction combined with essential hypertension.

METHODSSixty-eight patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 34 cases in each one. The patients in the two groups were treated with acupuncture method of "Xingnao Kaiqiao" (consciousness-restoring resuscitation) and oral administration of nifedipine. In addition, patients in the observation group were treated with acupuncture method of "Huoxue Sanfeng, Shugan Jianpi" that met the criteria of standard manipulation, in which bilateral Renying (ST 9), Quchi (LI 11), Hegu (LI 4), Zusanli (ST 36) and Taichong (LR 3) were selected. The treatment was given once a day, five times a week, for totally six weeks. The improvement and control rate of morning blood pressure in the two groups were observed.

RESULTS(1) After treatment, the morning blood pressures were decreased significantly in the two groups (all P < 0.05); after 15 treatments, the reduction of systolic pressure and diastolic pressure in the observation group was superior to that in the control group, but the difference was not significant (both P > 0.05); after 30 treatments, the reduction of systolic pressure and diastolic pressure in the observation group was significantly superior to that in the control group (both P < 0.05). (2) After 30 treatments, the control rate of morning blood pressure in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group [82.4% (28/34) vs 58.8% (20/34), P < 0.05].

CONCLUSIONAcupuncture method of "Huoxue Sanfeng, Shugan Jianpi", characterized with standard manipulation criteria, can effectively control morning blood pressure in patients with cerebral infraction combined with essential hypertension.
