Antigenic analysis of 10 strains of Coxsackievirus type A 24 (CA24) was carried out by monoclonal antibodies (McAbs) prepared with a China isolate of Coxsackievirus A 24 variant (CA24v).8 McAbs which were positive in indirect immunofluorescent test reacted to 9 CA 24 v detected. Of them, 4 McAbs could react to both CA 24v and CA 24 prototype (Joseph strain),and the others did not react to CA 24 prototype. 5 McAbs possessing virus-neutralizing activity did not neutralized CA 24 prototype (Joseph strain)and only one of them could neutralize EH 24/70 strain weakly, three of them neutralize 2 isolate from Japan in 1985-86 (J140/85 and J 60/86) and one isolate Fujian of China in 1986. However, all 5 McAbs above could neutralize isolate from Henan and Shanghai of China in 1986 as well as Beijing, Liaoning and Fujian of China in 1988.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the influence of arecoline (Ar) on human sperm motility in vitro. METHODS: 50 cases of normal human male sperm which had been screened were incubated in different concentration of Ar solution (10 ?g?mL-1,50 ?g?mL-1,100 ?g?mL-1),taking the optimized sperm as control group. After the incubation lasting 0.5,1,2 h, computer assisting sperm analysis system (CASA) was used to analyze the Mot, (a+b) PM,VCL and VSL of sperm. RESULTS: The Mot of sperm incubated in 10 ?g?mL-1 Ar solution for 1 h was significantly different from that of control group(P

BACKGROUND:The microvolt T-wave alternans (MTWA) is an important index for ventricular arrhythmias prediction and is a promising tool to evaluate non-invasively malignant ventricular arrhythmia and risk of sudden death.OBJECTIVE:To introduce a algorithm for detecting TWA using Poincare mapping method (PM),which is a technique for dynamics systems to display periodic behavior.METHODS:Samples series of beat to beat cycles were selected to prepare Poincare mapping to describe TWA distdbution.D_(twa),which denoted the sum distances between the origin to even and odd series, was used to present the presence and absence of TWA.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:This algorithm was applied in MIT/BIH Arrhythmia database and European ECG ST-T database, and D_(twa) used for correlation analysis with V_(twa),which denoted TWA amplitude of Spectrum Method. The cross-correlation coefficient was γ= 0.984.The algorithm can identify the absence and presence of TWA accurately and provide idea for further study of TWA-PM.

Hyperlipidemia plays a vital role in cardiovascular disease, and threatens our lives. The aim of this paper is to study the effects of Shuanghua granules on blood lipid in normal mice and different hyperlipidemia models. Acute and endogenous hyperlipidemia was induced in mice with yolk and Triton WR-1339 respectively. The model of hyperlipidemia in rats was set up by feeding high cholesterol diet. Then preventive effects of Shuanghua granules was observed compared with lovastatin and Zhibituo. We found that Shuanghua granules 5.6, 11.3, 22.5 g x kg (-1) could significantly reduce the serum TG level in normal mice (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). No significant difference was found in liver index, serum TG and HDL-C levels. When the mice were treated with either yolk or Triton WR-1339 in the presence of Shuanghua granules, the plasma lipoprotein levels (TC and LDL-C) were significantly reduced (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Shuanghua granules could reduce the serum TC, TG, LDL-C, MDA, NEFA and liver TC, TG, LDL-C levels, simultaneously raise serum and liver HDL-C, serum SOD, LPL, HL, LA levels of hyperlipidemia rats (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). Shuanghua granules also significantly reduced whole blood viscosity, RV, etaP, IER and IEA (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and lowered fatty degeneration of liver tissue. Compared with hyperlipidemia model, there was no significant increase in faeces lipoids concentrations. The results confirmed the mechanism of blood lipid regulating effects of Shuanghua granules is probably related with its antioxidation, regulating hemorheology and improving LPA, HL, LA enzymatic activity.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2023;40(1):155-162
Steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) has been widely used in the research of brain-computer interface (BCI) system in recent years. The advantages of SSVEP-BCI system include high classification accuracy, fast information transform rate and strong anti-interference ability. Most of the traditional researches induce SSVEP responses in low and middle frequency bands as control signals. However, SSVEP in this frequency band may cause visual fatigue and even induce epilepsy in subjects. In contrast, high-frequency SSVEP-BCI provides a more comfortable and natural interaction despite its lower amplitude and weaker response. Therefore, it has been widely concerned by researchers in recent years. This paper summarized and analyzed the related research of high-frequency SSVEP-BCI in the past ten years from the aspects of paradigm and algorithm. Finally, the application prospect and development direction of high-frequency SSVEP were discussed and prospected.

Objective:
To understand the health literacy and relevant factors of cancer prevention consciousness in Chinese urban residents from 2015 to 2017.
Methods:
A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 16 provinces covered by the Cancer Screening Program in Urban China from 2015 to 2017. A total of 32 257 local residents aged ≥18 years old who could understand the investigation procedure were included in the study by using the cluster sampling method and convenient sampling method. All local residents were categorized into four groups, which contained 15 524 community residents, 8 016 cancer risk assessment/screening population, 2 289 cancer patients and 6 428 occupational population, respectively. The self-designed questionnaire was used to collect the information of demographic characteristics and cancer prevention consciousness focusing on nine common risk factors, including smoking, alcohol, fiber food, food in hot temperature or pickled food, chewing betel nut, helicobacter pylori, moldy food, hepatitis B infection, estrogen, and exercise. The logistic regression model was adopted to identify the influencing factors.
Results:
The overall health literacy of the cancer prevention consciousness was 77.4% (24 980 participants), with 77.4% (12 018 participants), 79.9% (6 406 participants), 77.2% (1 766 participants) and 74.5% (4 709 participants) in each group (
