Chongqing Medicine 2014;(16):1972-1974
Objective To study the expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)in laryngeal carcinoma and their clinicopathological significance. Methods The immuno-histochemical technique was used to detect the expression staining results of MMP-2 and VEGF in 54 cases of laryngeal carcinoma,23 cases of polyps of vocal cord and 1 5 cases of normal laryngeal mucous tissues verified by clinicopathology under the automatic image analyzer. Results The ex-pression rates of MMP-2 and VEGF were 72.22%(39/54)and 70.37%(38/54)in the laryngeal carcinoma tissue, which were sig-nificantly higher than 47.83% and 39.13% in polyps of vocal cord and 40.00% and 46.67% in the normal laryngeal tissues respec-tively,the differences between them had statistical significance(P<0.05).The expressions of MMP-2 and VEGF had certain corre-lation with the clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and.infiltration depth of laryngeal carcinoma. Conclusion MMP-2 and VEGF may jointly participate in the process of infiltration and metastasis in laryngeal and have certain relation with the tumorous invasive growth.
6.Effect of intra-dialytic exercises on micro-inflammatory state in maintenance hemodialysis patients
Modern Clinical Nursing 2016;15(8):54-58
Objective To investigate the effect of intra-dialytic exercises on micro-inflammatory state in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods Sixty clinically stable MHD patients from the Hemodialysis Center were enrolled in the study . The patients were divided into exercise group and control group with 27 cases in each group by using the random digit number table. The patients in the exercise group underwent a 6-month intra-dialytic exercise, in which the patients conducted physical exercises supinely on a cycle ergometer each for 50 minutes, 3 times a week. The patients in the control group were treated without any exercise intervention. Serum interleukin-6(IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) were determined after the study for 0 and 6 months. Results After the 6-month intradialytic exercise program, serum IL-6, CRP and TNF-α were all decreased in the exercise group (P < 0.05). These indices were unchanged in the control group (P > 0.05). Conclusion The intra-dialytic exercises can alleviate micro-inflamatory state in maintenance hemodialysis patients.

8. Influence of different heating degrees on color of Chinese materia medica pieces
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(16):2252-2256
Objective: To study the relativity between the heating degree and color value of Chinese materia medica pieces. Methods: The effects of heating temperature and time on the color value of Gardeniae Fructus and Crataegi Fructus were investigated by spectrophotometric technique. Results: The color value curve of Gardeniae Fructus after processing under the mid-and high-heating showed the better rules that the stationary phase of L* and δE* appeared in 7 min and stationary phase of a* and b* appeared in 4 min. However, the color value curve of Crataegi Fructus showed the stationary phase of L*, a*, b*, and δE* appeared in 5 min after low-heating process. After the mid-heating process, the stationary phase of L* and δE* appeared in 6 min, stationary phase of a* and b* values appeared in 5 and 8 min, respectively. After the high-heating process, the stationary phase of L* and δE* appeared in 8 min and the stationary phase of a* and b* value appeared in 5 min. Conclusion: There is the correlation of processing degree between the measurement results and the perusal observation, and the result of color measurement could provide the reference for confirming optimum parameters of processing technique.

The Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology 2016;32(8):794-797
Objective To explore the role of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)in central nucleus of amygdala (CeA)in the mechanism of fentanyl-induced hyperalgesia (OIH)in rats. Methods Step 1:12 healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighing 60-100 g,were randomly divided into OIH and Control group. The mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (PWT)and the thermal paw withdrawal latency (PWL)were tested at pre-and post-OIH induction. Then the level of p-ERK in the CeA was analyzed by Western blotting.Step 2:After successful induction of OIH and catheterization in CeA,another 30 SD male rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (n = 6 each):Group OIH;Group OIH+U0124;Group OIH+U0126(0.1 5 nmol);Group OIH+U0126(0.45 nmol)and Group OIH+U0126 (1.5 nmol),then 0.3 μl of DMSO,U0124 (1.5 nmol),U0126 (0.1 5 nmol,0.45 nmol,1.5 nmol)was given through the catheter separately.PWT and PWL were tested before cathe-terization,at pre-OIH induction,post-OIH induction and 0.5 h after CeA drug administration. After the last test of pain threshold, the rats were sacrificed and CeA tissues were sampled for analyzing the expression of p-ERK by western blot. Results In step 1 compared with control group,PWT and PWL of OIH group were sharply decreased post-OIH induction (P <0.05),concomitant increase of the expression of p-ERK in CeA in OIH group was also observed. In step 2,both PWT and PWL were sharply decreased post-OIH induction (P <0.05).Intra-CeA U0126 injection, but not U0124, reversed both behavioral hyperalgesia and molecular activation of ERK in CeA in a dose-dependent manner (P <0.05).Conclusion ERK plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of fentanyl-induced hy-peralgesia.Targeting inhibition of ERK activation in CeA can alleviate fentanyl-induced hyperalgesia.
