4.Clinical value of intravascular ultrasound in diagnosing stent fracture: report of two cases with literature review
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2009;18(9):707-710
Stent fracture has been implicated as a cause of drug-eluting stent failure. The authors report here 2 cases with stent fractures which were diagnosed by coronary artery angiography and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). Both of them received multiple-stent-implantation. Five stent fractures altogether were detected in two patients. All the involved stents were sirolimus-eluting ones. Angiographic study showed that three stent fractures were complete transverse linear fracture with stent displacement. IVUS demonstrated that three stent fractures were complete break and two were partial break. One fracture was located close to the overlapping site of two stents and another fracture was accompanied by the formation of a coronary aneurysm. Angiography and IVUS are helpful to identify stent fracture. In addition, IVUS is more likely to clarify the cause of stent failure as well as the mechanism of stent fracture.

7.The application of lung protective ventilation strategy in laparoscopic surgery of obese patients
Journal of Chinese Physician 2017;19(4):622-625
With the ventilator associated lung injury (VALI) atracting more and more attention, lung protective ventilation strategy (LPVS) has gradually been applied to clinical practice.Obese patients are at higher risk in VALI for laparoscopic surgery, mechanical ventilation induced atelectasis is an important reason for low oxygen in intraoperative and postoperativen procedure. In laparoscopic surgery, high abdominal pressure causes the elevation of diaphragm, and increases airway pressure. The excessive pressure increases the amount of alveolar dead space and airway pressure, reduces lung compliance, and increases the possibility of barotrauma and colotrauma. In addition, carbon dioxide pnenmoperitoneum indces hypercapnia. Both of them influence the recovery of postoperative lung function. To optimize intraoperative management and improve the prognosis of patients with general anesthesia, the application of LPVS attracts more attention, including small tidal volume, positive end-expiratory pressure, and recruitment maneuvers, etc. However,LVPS may also cause lung injury. This article is a review on the application of LPVS in laparoscopic surgery of obese patients.

Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 1989;0(04):-
In vitro cellular adherence of murine neutrophils (Neu), macrophages (Mo) and eosinophils (Eos) to infective larvae (L3) of periodic Brugia malayi was promoted by immune serum (AIMS) or fresh normal mice serun (fNMS). Mo and Neu were more potent than Eos . in killing the L3. Eos could adhere to the L3 in the presence of AIMS or fNMS but a weak cy-totoxic effect was observed only when AIMS was used. The activity in AIMS could be removed with Staphylococcus aureus containing Protein-A (SPA) or anti-mice IgG antiserum suggesting that IgG might be in the observed cytotoxicity. Immunofluorescent staining revealed IgG binding to the surface of L3 after incubation with AIMS. Heat treatment of AIMS at 56℃ 30 min resulted in a reduced cytotoxic effect suggesting the role of complement in the reaction. EDTA but not EGTA abolished this activity indicating the operation of complement by alternate pathway. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) studies comfirmed that the celluar adherence resulted in gross surface damage to the infective larvae.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(02):-
This report concerns an observation on the biological properties of orthomyxoviruses type A in the condition of symbiosis with streptococcus A in embryonated eggs. The results show that both the viruses and the streptococci multiply normally in the condition of symbiosis and that the activity of the virus neuraminidase enhances, with the speed of the virus disassociating from RBC increasing. The morphological changes of the virus were observed also by transmission electron microscopy. The reason of these changes is discussed,
