1.Changes and clinical significance of peripheral blood interferon-γ,interleukin-4 and interleukin-6 in endometriosis

Objective To study the changes of interferon ( IFN )- γ ,interleukin(IL)-4 and IL-6 in endometriosis. Method The levels of peripheral blood IFN-γ ,IL-4 and IL-6 in 25 patients with endometriosis (EM group) and 20 normal adults (control group) were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The level of peripheral blood IFN- γ in EM group [(109.64±26.79 ) ng/L] was lower than that in control group [(155.17±30.36) ng/L] (P < 0.05 ), IL-4[(33.52 ± 8.69)ng/L]and IL-6 [(44.12 ± 3.57) ng/L] were higher than those in control group [(22.52 ± 6.54), ( 15.12 ±2.63 )ng/L](P<0.05 ).The ratio of IFN-γ/II-4(3.27±1.45 ) and IFN- γ/IL-6 ( 1.15 ± 0.56 ) in EM group were significantly lower than those in control group (6.89 ±1.68,2.54 ±1.03)(P <0.01 or <0.05).Conclusions Th1 cells shift toward Th2 cells in patients with endometriosis. Th1/Th2 ratio may be correlated with the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
2.Clinical Study on Method of Soothing the Liver and Tonifying the Kidney for Treatment of 30 Cases of Female Depression

3.The expression and significance of keratinocyte growth factor in the regulation of cholesteatoma growth

OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression of keratinocyte growth factor(KGF)in middle ear cholesteatoma and to explore the role of KGF on the hyperproliferation of the cholesteatoma epithelium and the formation and development of cholesteatoma. METHODS The specimens from the cholesteatoma tissue of 20 cases and the corresponding normal external ear skin were examined by immunohistochemical S-P method and quantitative analysis. RESULTS In normal ear skin only stroma staining for KGF was positive. In cholesteatoma epithelium staining for KGF was strongly positive and the stroma staining was stronger than that of normal ear skin. The positive rates of the cholesteatoma and normal external ear skin revealed a significant difference. There was a positive correlation between cholesteatoma epithelium staining for KGF and for Ki67 and the coefflcient of correlation was 0.609(P﹤0.01). CONCLUSION There was correlation between the expression of KGF or Ki67 and the ability of reproduction of middle ear cholesteatoma. Local inflammation might promote hyperproliferation of the epithelium of cholesteatoma by regulating the expression of KGF. It suggested that an autocrine stimulation of KGF correlate with the occurrence and development of cholesteatoma .

5.The TCM Theory of XueyuYundu on Endometriosis

The TCM theory of XueyuYundu believes that blood stasis and poison is the fundament of endometriosis. Long term of blood stasis may convert to poison and further aggravate the blood stasis. This article has summarized literatures about poison stasis syndrome and blood stasis syndrome. On this basis, we introduced a self-made prescription, QuyuJiedu Decoction, and the theoretical and laboratory study progress of this decoction, for the purpose of providing a new method for treating endometriosis.

7.Effect of kuntai capsule on the number of retrieved oocytes, high-quality oocytes and embryos in in vitro fertilization of poor ovarian response patients.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Kuntai Capsule (KC) on the number of retrieved oocytes, the quality of high-quality oocytes and embryos in in vitro fertilization of poor ovarian response (POR) patients.
METHODSTotally 70 POR patients preparing for in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) were randomly assigned to the observation group and the control group, 35 cases in each group. KC was administered to patients in the observation group in the preparation cycle (i.e., three menstrual cycles before IVF-ET) and during the superovulation process. Those in the control group took placebo during this period. Before and after medication the improvement of Shen yin deficiency syndrome (SYDS) was observed in the two groups. The basal follicle-stimulating hormone (bFSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), the ratio of FSH to LH, and antral follicle count (AFC) were observed. Besides, the E2 level of a single ovum on the day of HCG injection, the number of retrieved oocytes, the high-quality oocyte rate, and the high-quality embryos were observed.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the SYDS, decreased bFSH and LH levels, increased ACF numbers, the E2 level of a single ovum on the day of HCG injection, the number of retrieved oocytes, high-quality oocytes, and high-quality embryos were superior in the observation group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in the decreased FSH/LH level (P > 0.05). E2 and AMH increased after medication of KC in the observation group, while they decreased after administration of placebos in the control group. There was statistical difference in the post-pre treatment difference of E2 and AMH between the two groups (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONKC could increase the number of retrieved oocytes, and elevate the quality of occytes and embryos in the IVF-ET.

8.Discussion on the concerns in paediatric drug taste masking technology and evaluation

Good palatability of pediatric drugs improves the accuracy of dosing and adherence to dosing regimens. Many active pharmaceutical ingredients have an undesirable taste, so effective taste masking methods need to be developed to improve the palatability of pediatric medicines. This article mainly introduces the commonly taste masking techniques and taste evaluation methods, and puts forward suggestions on the concerns and general principles of the pharmaceutical evaluation of taste masking effects based on cases, in order to provide reference for the development of drug taste masking technology in children.
9.Effects of Serum Contained Erzhi Tiangui Granule on Secretion Function of Ovarian Granulosa Cells from Primary Senile Mice

Objective To study the effect of serum contained Erzhi Tiangui Granule on the secretion function of ovarian granulosa cells from primary senile mice. Methods The serum with decoction from primary senile mice was added to cultured granulosa cells and incubated for 48 h. Then the concentration of estradiol (E2), progesterone (P) and inhibin B (INHB) in cultured medium were measured by chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) and Sandwich ELISA respectively. Results The serum contained Erzhi Tiangui Granule could increase the secretion of E2, P and INHB. Conclusion Erzhi Tiangui Granule can improve the ovarian function of primary senile mice by regulating the secretion function of granulosa cells.
10.Ile796Val polymorphism in the human SCAP gene and the correlation with serum lipid levels

Objective To study the Ile796Val polymorphism in human SCAP gene in Hubei area, and analyze its correlation with coronary heart disease (CHP) and hypertension and the relationship between polymorphism and lipid metabolism. Methods Using PCR RFLP, we detected genotypes of Ile796Val polymorphism in human SCAP gene. Results The allele A frequencies of Ile796Val in human SCAP gene for controls, CHD patients and the hypertension patients were 0.32, 0.45 and 0.42 respectively. The allele G frequencies were 0 68, 0.55 and 0.58 respectively. There were significant differences in frequencies of genotype and alleles between controls and hypertension group. And there was significant difference in the level of TC, LDL C and ApoB. In CHD group, there was significant difference in the TC level between different genotypes. In hypertension patients, although a difference was noted in genotype, there was no significant difference in allele frequencies and lipid level exceps a significant difference in the levels of TC, LDL C and ApoB in hypertension patients. Conclusion Ile796Val polymorphism in human SCAP gene may be a great agent to cause disorder in the lipid level of blood and lipid metabolism of tissue. It is of great significance in disorder in lipid metabolism of inter cellular and genetic investigation of hyperlipidemia.
