1.Zirconia all-ceramic crown and porcelain fused to metal crown for dental defects: an 8-month follow-up of periodontal conditions

BACKGROUND:Zirconia al-ceramic crown restoration has good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, and has little irritation to the human periodontal tissue. OBJECTIVE:To compare the clinical curative effects of zirconia al-ceramic and porcelain fused to metal crowns in the repair of dental defects. METHODS: Twenty patients (120 teeth) scheduled for crown lengthening+crown repair were enroled, including 7 males and 13 females, aged 19-60 years, and then randomly divided into observation group and control group. In the observation group, zirconia al-ceramic crown was used; and in the control group, porcelain fused to metal crown was used. Periodontal conditions, coordination of gingival margin height, and crown edge concealment were compared between the two groups at 8 months after restoration. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: At 8 months after restoration, the observation group had better periodontal conditions and crown edge concealment than the control group (P < 0.05), and the time of wearing a temporary crown and recovery time were also shorter in the observation group than the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the gingival margin height between the two groups at 1, 3 and 8 months after restoration. These findings indicate that after crown lengthening, the zirconia al-ceramic restoration for dental defect repair has better therapeutic effects than the porcelain fused to metal restoration, which can have better marginal adaptation, improve crown edge concealment, reduce gingivitis, decrease plaque adhesion ability, and preferably maintain the periodontal health.

OBJECTIVE: To summarize the cause and mechanic of inflammation reaction induced by medical biomaterials in the body.DATA SOURCE: A computer-based online search of Pubmed database was undertaken to identify the relevant articles published from January 2004 to December 2008 in English with the key words of "biomaterials, inflammation, mechanism".Meanwhile, with Chinese articles were retrieved from CNKI database between January 2005 and December 2008 with the key words of "biomaterials, inflammation, mechanism".DATA SELECTION: Articles concerning the cause and mechanic of inflammation reaction induced by medical biomaterials were included. Articles addressing physical and chemical features and mechanics of medical biomaterials were excluded.MAIN OUTCOME MEASREUS:①After the material implants in vivo, inflammatory cell and material adhering.②Cell factor expression.RESULTS: After initially examined 70 literatures were obtained. According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, the reasons and the mechanism related to the medical biological material in host in vivo for causing the inflammation were analyzed. Along with the tissue engineering development, various new high-polymer medicine biological materials with good biological compatibility,the biological activity and the biodegradation absorption function are emerging unceasingly. The biomedicine material was used to repair or substitute damage organization and the organ, and to cause function recovery. The infection was still the serious complication following the medical biological material was implanted. The mechanism of biomedicine material-induced infection is: complement in blood adhere the biological material surface, which causes collection and adherence of integrin-mediated leukocytes, release of cytokines and growth factors from adherent monocytes/macrophages, resulting in the occurrence of biomedicine material-related infection. To prevent the medical biological material-related inflammation, we should first embark from the material itself, and seek for some to respond the small medical material to the host inflammation.CONCLUSION: The success of material implantation depends on the medical biological material relevant inflammation. The production of biomaterial-related inflammation is action results of inflammatory cell, inflammation factor, complement as well as enzyme, oxygen free radical. Material surface microstructure, chemistry and dielectric and so on immediately influence inflammatory cells on material response.

Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR),a key enzyme in methionine-folic acid metabolism,participates in the synthesis of thymidine monophosphate(TMP) and purine as an indirect donator of methylium.It plays an important role in maintaining the normal level of homocysteine and DNA repair and replication.The MTHFR gene mutation decreases the activity of enzymes,increases the homocysteine level of blood plasma,and induces abnormal DNA methylation and various diseases.This review focuses on the structure and function of the MTHFR gene,its polymorphism and the relationship between its polymorphism and congenital heart disease.
4.Research and Design of Medical Data Integration Platform

In this paper, through in-depth study on characteristics of hospital information system (HIS) construction and requirements of medical data integration, and combined with the medical data straits of heterogeneity, multi-source, complexity, dynamic growth, etc., the problem of information exchange in different systems was aimed to solved, in order to realize medical data sharing among internal systems in hospital.Based on Extensible Markup Language (XML), public data model was described by XML Schema technology. Global and local medical data were queried using XQuery technology. The results showed that a medical data integration platform based on HL7 standard and the middleware technologies were proposed. It was concluded that the platform shielded the heterogeneity of underlying medical data by middleware technology. It finally realized the global query and transparent access of medical data in HIS for users.
5.Comparation of clinical value between subcutaneous insulin pump and multiple subcutaneous insulin intensive treatment on type 2 diabetes combined with stroke

Objective To explore the clinical value of the insulin pump(CSⅡ) and multiple subcutaneous insulin intensive treat-ment(MDI) for patients with type 2 diabetes and stroke .Methods A total of 80 patients with type 2 diabetes and stroke in Weifang Community Health Service Center from April 2011 to May 2014 were selected as subjects and divided into experimental group and control group according to random number table method ,with 40 cases in each group .Patients in the experimental group were trea-ted with CSⅡ ,patients in the control group were treated with MDI .Glucose level ,therapeutic time ,the number of low blood sugar , insulin dosage ,National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) score ,insulin secretion index(IS) ,insulin resistance index(IR) , hospital costs were compared before and after treatment in the two groups .Results The glucose levels ,therapeutic time ,the num-ber of low blood sugar ,insulin dosage ,NIHSS score ,IS ,IR in the two groups before and after breakfast ,before and after lunch ,be-fore dinner ,after dinner 2 hours before treatment had no significant differences(P>0 .05) ,the glucose levels ,therapeutic time ,the number of low blood sugar ,insulin dosage ,NIHSS score ,IS ,IR after treatment in both groups were significantly decreased at these time points ,but those indicators in the experimental group decreased more significantly ,and had significant differences with those of the control group(P<0 .05) .The cost of hospitalization of patients in the experimental group was significant lower than that in the control group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion CSⅡ treatment for type 2 diabetes and stroke patients ,not only control glucose level well ,re-duce the number of low blood glucose and insulin dosage ,significantly improved IS and IR ,reduce hospital costs ,and also could sig-nificantly improve the neurological disorders of consciousness ,which is an ideal treatment method compared with MDI .
6.Effect of Wheel Running on Neurogenesis in Subventricular Zone of Adult Rats post Cerebral Ischemia

Objective To observe the effect of wheel running exercise on subventricular zone neurogenesis and the neural function in rats post cerebral ischemia. Methods 48 adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were induced cortical infarcts with left middle artery occlusion and were housed in either standard (control group, n=24) or wheel running (exercise group, n=24). They were assessed with neurological severi-ty scores (NSS), and the expression of Ki67 was determined with immunofluorescence, 3, 7, 14 and 21 days after training. Results Com-pared with the control group, the number of Ki67-labeled cells in subventricular significantly increased in the exercise group 14 and 21 days after ischemia (P<0.05), and the NSS decreased since 7 days after ischemia (P<0.05). Conclusion Wheel running may promote the neuro-genesis in subventricular of adult rats after cerebral infarction, which may associate with the recovery of neural function.
7.Comparison between Gopubmed and Pubmedpro

Objective To make a comparative study of the two intelligent Pubmed-based retrieval tools,Gopubmed and Pubmedpro.Methods We took lung cancer literatures as an example in this article,probed into the difference between these two tools in several aspects including retrieval tech niques,browse,boolean retrieval,statistical analysis items,statistical analysis accuracy,access and retrieval speed.Results Gopubmed and Pubmedpro shared the similar retrieval techniques,but the latter had more browse,boolean retrieval and statistical analysis functions,and had better analysis accuracy,easier access and faster retrieval speed.Conclusion Pubmedpro had advantages over Gopubmed in general.
8.Investigation on the caring behaviors of family caregivers of patients of indwelling catheter

Objective To investigate the family caregivers of patients with indwelling catheter care behavior .By analyzed its in‐fluencing factors to help caregivers improve the quality of life for patients .Methods Convenience sampling method by visit 70 pri‐mary caregivers of family indwelling catheter for the patient′s .They were investigated with gathering general information and Gen‐eral Self‐Efficacy Scale(GSES) ,following with caregivers awareness questionnaire indwelling catheter .Indwelling catheter care be‐havior questionnaire survey analyze behavior and other items to take care of the relationship .Results The general self‐efficacy and caregiver indwelling catheter cognition ,which account for 73 .9% of the total variance of caring behaviors ,were the important fac‐tors affecting care behaviors .Conclusion There is a big shortage in indwelling catheter home care caregiver knowledge and care be‐haviors .According to above professionals can provide targeted guidance for caregivers .
9.Comparison of Cordyceps Sinensis and Solid Fermentation of Cordyceps Militaris by TLC

OBJECTIVE: To compared the similarity between Cordyceps Sinensis and Solid Fermentation of Cordyceps Militaris in chemical components by TLC. METHODS: The similarity in total constituents and different extract fractions were compared between Cordyceps Sinensis and Solid Fermentation of Cordyceps Militaris by TLC. RESULTS: Solid Fermentation of Cordyceps Militaris and Cordyceps Sinensis were basically similar in that their TLC spots occurred at the corresponding place except a slight difference in size. CONCLUSION: Cordyceps Sinensis and Solid Fermentation of Cordyceps Militaris have similar chemical constituents, which remains to be further studied.
10.Study on Making the Animal Model of Diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome Due to Liver-Spleen Disharmony

Objective To explore the animal model making method for diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) caused by the disharmony of liver and spleen in TCM.Methods In order to define the period of the animal model making,the 32 neonatal rats were divided into 3 days group,6 days group,9 days group and control group.In order to determine the weight of the experimental rats,the 48 rats with different weight were divided into lower weight model group,lower weight control group,medium weight model group,medium weight control group,higher weight model group and higher weight control group.In order to decide the method of causing diarrhea,the 32 rats were divided into lactose enriched diet group,restraint stress group,lactose enriched diet plus restraint stress group,and a control group.The body weight and diarrhea rate of all groups were compared respectively.After the method of model making was decided,the 16 rats were divided into a model group and a control group,and 5-hydroxytryptamin (5-HT),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and aquaporin 4 (AQP4) of the two groups were compared for model-proving.Results Based on the results step by step,the best method was decided:the period of the animal model making was 6 days,rats with higher body weight should be subjects,and the lactose enriched diet combining with restraint stress should be used to induce diarrhea.Model-proving test:compared with the control group,5-HT and LDH decreased (P
