5.The role of low-field magnetic resonance angiography in diagnosis of intracranial artery steno-occlusive disease in patients with cerebral infarction
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2012;19(7):970-971
ObjectiveTo determine the role of low-field magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) in diagnosis of intracranial artery steno-occlusive disease in patients with cerebral infarction.Methods67 cases with cerebral infarction were given low-field MRA and DSA examination.Results62 cases of cerebral infarction MRA diagnosis and DSA agree, diagnostic accuracy was 92.5%.ConclusionLow-field MRA has a good reliability in diagnosis of intracranial artery steno-occlusive disease with the advantages of safe, reliable and convenient, can provide effective instruction for treatment of cerebral infarction.
6.Carnitine deficiency and its related diseases
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2009;17(5):311-315
L-carnitine plays an essential role in the beta-oxidation of fatty acids by transporting long chain acyl-coenzyme A into the mitochondrial matrix.Carnitine deficiency may lead to various diseases, including lipid storage myopathies, systemic carnitine deficiency syndrome, cardiomyopathy, obesity, and infertility. This article summarizes the causes of carnitine deficiency and elucidates the clinical features and treatment strategies of its related diseases.

8.Observation on Treatment of Depression with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine: A Report of 52 Cases
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2007;5(4):238-240
To study the effectiveness of combined Acupuncture and Chinese medicine on depression. Methods: Ninety-eight patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group of 52 cases were treated by scalp acupuncture and electroacupuncture, Baihui (GV 20), Shenting (GV 24), Taichong (LR 3), Neiguan (PC 6),Guanyuan (CV 4), Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao(SP 6), plus Chinese medicine, modified Xiaoyao Powder (a decoction for soothing liver and relieving depression) and the control group of 46 cases, only with Chinese medicine, modified Xiaoyao Powder. Results: The total effective rate was 94.2% in the treatment group and 78.26% in the control group; with a significantdifference between two groups(P<0.05) Conclusion: Acupuncture plus Chinese medicine has a marked effect on depression.
9.Role of plasma B type natriuretic peptide concentration in the diagnosis and predicting prognosis of patients with heart failure
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2006;0(09):-
Objective To study the role of plasma B type natriuretic peptide(BNP)concentration in the diagnosis and predicting prognosis of patients with heart failure(HF).Methods Plasma BNP concentration was measured with immunofluorescenee assay in 90 patients with dyspnea.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and pulmonary capillary wedge pressure(PCWP)were determined by eehoeardiography and Swan-Ganz catheter respectively in these patients at the same time. The gradation of HF was based on the criteria of cardiac function classification setted by New York Heart Association(NYHA).The HF patients were classified into 2 groups according to BNP concentration measured just before the discharge:patients with BNP<400 ng/L and BNP≥400 ng/L.The re-admisslon rate within 30 days because of the HF between the two groups was compared. Results Plasma BNP levels were higher in the patients with left heart failure than those in the non-heart failure patients[(569?222)ng/L vs.(52?10)ng/L,P<0.01],and BNP levels were increased in accordance with the severity of HF.The sensitivity, specificity, and negative predictive values of plasma BNP levels≥100 ng/L for predicting HF were 94.7%,91.7% and 96.7%,respectively.Plasma BNP levels were positively related to PCWP(r=0.55,P<0.01),and negatively related to LVEF(r=-0.62,P<0.01).There was no significant difference of plasma BNP levels between patients with different causes of HF.The re-admission rate within 30 days after discharge was notably high if the plasma BNP concentrations were over 400 ng/L.Conclusion Plasma BNP concentration can be regarded as a valuable marker for diagnosis and predicting prognosis of patients with HF.
10.Effect of Tianteng Jiangya decoction on blood pressure and vascular endothelial function in essential hypertension
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2017;24(16):2460-2464
Objective To observe the effect of Tianteng Jiangya decoction on vascular endothelial function in essential hypertension. Methods 70 patients with essential hypertension were enrolled in this study, they were divided into study group(35 cases)and control group(35 cases)according to the random number table. The control group was treated with levamlodipine for 8 weeks, the study group was treated with Tianteng Jiangya decoction on the basis of the control group for 8 weeks. Then, the DBP and SBP were observed before and after treatment. The ET-1 and nitric oxide(NO)were measured by radioimmunoassay and spectrophotometry. The curative effect and symptom of both two groups were evaluated. Results The levels of DBP and SBP in the study group and the control group were(80±4)mmHg and(88±5)mmHg,(118±13)mmHg and(131±15)mmHg,respectively,which were significantly lower than those before treatment(t=7.263,4.488,9.227,4.422,all P<0.05).The levels of DBP and SBP in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(t=4.776,5.527,all P<0.05).The NO level in the study group was(80.37±7.27)μmol/L,,which was significantly lower than that before treatment(t=4.167,P<0.05).The ET-1 level in the study group was(94.26±9.08)ng/L,which was significantly lower than that before treatment(t=3.819,P<0.05).There was no significant change in endothelium function between before and after treatment in the control group(t=1.686 and 1.612,all P>0.05).The total effective rates of dizziness, headache, five upset hot, forgetfulness in the study group and the control group were 89.47% and 64.71%,90.00% and 63.16%,88.89% and 50.00%,82.35% and 47.37%,respectively,the differences were statistically significant(x2=6.422,6.585,6.247,6.456,all P<0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was 94.29%,which was significantly higher than 71.43% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(x2=9.622,P<0.01).Conclusion Tianteng Jiangya decoction can effectively control the blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension, improve the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and vascular endothelial function, has obvious advantages,it is worthy of clinical use.
