AIM: To study the percutaneous absorption of Rg1 in Panax notoginseng and the effects of some commom enhancer and pH value on it. METHODS: Drug permeation tests were performed through excised rat skin in V-C diffusion cell.Rg1 concentration in samples was determined by HPLC. RESULTS: Rg1 could penetrate through excised rat skin with lower permeability coefficient;in the range of concentration 300 mg/mL～60 mg/mL permeability coefficient of Rg1 decreased as its concentration increasd;Among enhancers,10% ethanol,10%,20% and 30% propylene glycol,2% Azone,2% Eucalyptus Oil and 5% Oleic Acid had markedly promotive effect on transdermal penetration of Rg1. CONCLUSION: The research will provide experimental data for skin administration of Chinese medicine containing Panax notoginseng.

Objective examine the current status of Science and Technology Novelty about Medicine and Health Sciences in the Guangzhou Military Region during 2010 to 2013.Methods Using Microsoft Excel software to conduct statistical analysis on data that including the novelty of the client' s new projects,subject classification,the level of project award application,client unit,type of requested projects,innovative items,etc.Results The total number of applying for project innovation checking showed a decreasing trend in the Guangzhou Military Region;the majority of awarded application was for the third Prize;and the requirested for new project innovation checking is far less than project innovation award checking.Conclusions The center should actively promote the understanding for the innovation of the new projects among the research groups,and improve the class of prize award.

After the specific tools and process to mine and collect subject hotspot information from papers pub-lished in English journals,Chinese journals and patents were summarized in order to standardize,schematize,simplify and clarify information collection, mange information service and insure subject hotspot information quality, the push methods and contents of subject hotspot information were described with measures proposed for the solution of problems in subject hotspot information service.

Objective To investigate the peoperative information needs of patents undergoing cardiac surgery and their family members.Method Toally 105 inpatients to undergo cardiac surgery and 112 family members were recruited for the survey by preoprative needs scale for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.Results The total scores on the information needs and the concerns of the patients were (39.43± 1.35) and (62.41± 1.40),respectively.The scores on desired information and concerns of their family were (39.13±1.37) and (59.82±2.35),respectively.The needs and concerns of the patients and their families for preoperative information were both at a higher level,but the concerns of the patients were at a higher level than those of their families.Conclusion Health education based on the needed information and concerns of preoperative patients undergoing cardiac surgery and their family members can improve the education effect.

Some ideas were proposed on establishing the mobile medical information service system by relying on the communication platforms such as Wechat , microblog and hospital website , in order to provide mobile informa-tion service for medical staff .The functions of its information need access module , information source module and information transfer module were described in detail, and certain suggestions were put forward for its normal opera-tion, such as active popularization, attraction of its user groups, development of information service file database, establishment of incentive mechanisms , and construction of information service team.

Objective To study the effect of ahylysantinfarctase (AF) on the growth of fetus lens epithelial cells (LECs) in vitro. Methods Fetal lens anterior capsule membranes from the eyeballs of dead fetus delivered by induced labor underwent primary cell culture with the modified method. The second or third generations of fetal LECs were used in this experiment. They were exposed to AF of six kinds of concentrations (2?10~ -4 , 4?10~ -4 , 8?10~ -4 , 16?10~ -4 , 32?10~ -4 , 64?10~ -4 u/mL). Their morphologic changes were observed with the inverted microscope and the value of absorption (A) in each well was tested by MTT assay to examine the effect of AF on the growth of the fetal LECs collected. Results In the experimental groups, especially AF groups of higher concentration, LECs exhibited inordinate shape, less kytoplasm, more cellular endoparticles, wider intercellular space and random disposition, and even adherence failure. Objective To study the joint effect of small dosages of Aspirin and compound Danshen dropping pills on type 2 diabetes(T2DM) patients'and impaired glucose tolerance(IGT) patients' hypercoagulation blood.Methods The study followed diagnostic standards for T2DM by World Health Organization (WHO) in 1999,and randomly selected two groups of clinical patients:one had 63 patients with IGT and the other contained 68 patients with T2DM.Both groups took compound Danshen dropping pills with the total dosage of 10 pills each time,3 times per day,for continuum of 3 months.After that both groups stopped medication for 7 days,then began taking Aspirin after meal,with the dosage of 100 mg per day,for a continuum of 3 month.After that both groups stopped the medication for 7 days,then both group continued to take same dosage of ASA with addition of compound Danshen dropping pills of total amount of 10 pills per each time,3 times per day,for acontinuum of 3 months.Each medication period (ev ery 3 months) was monitored for platelet count (PET),prothrombin time (PT),kaolin partial thromboplastin time (APPT),The effective rate of anticoagulation for both groups were then calculated.Results The difference of PT、APTT between before and after taking single dosage of ASA for patients with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) was statistically significant (P＜0.05),while patients with T2DM had no significant difference before and after taking same single dosage of ASA.Similarly, both groups with single dosage of compound Danshen dropping pills had no significant difference between before and after taking the medication.However,the difference of PT、APTT between before and after taking the combination of Aspirin and Danshen dropping pills of both groups were statistically significant (P＜0.05).IGT group with single dosage of ASA had an effective rate of 71.4％ for anti coagulation,while T2DM group with the same dosage reached 23.8％.The IGT group with combinatory dosage of ASA and Danshen dropping pills reached an effective rate of 100％ for anticoagulation,while T2DM group with the same dosage was 86.7％.The difference between those effective rates of anticoagulation was statistically significant in different medicine takeways of two groups (P＜0.05).Conclusion The combinatory use of small dosage of Aspirin with compound Danshen dropping pills had evident effect to improve IGT and hypercoagulation blood of T2DM patients who had good control of their blood glucose.

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effects of radial optic neurotomy (RON) for central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Methods The clinical data of 12 patients (12 eyes) with CRVO who had undergone RON were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were examined by visual acuity and fundus examination, photography, fundus fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography (OCT). The visual acuities of all of the 12 eyes with severe hemorrhage and retinal edema were less than 0.1. A microvitreoretinal blade or CRVO knife was penetrate into the nasal side of the optic disk, and the incision reached the cribriform plate and even the back, and then dissected at the nasal side of the cribriform plate. The postoperative follow-up period lasted 2 to 15 months with the mean of 6.5 months, and the visual acuity, the condition of visual field and ocular fundus of the eyes undergone the surgery were observed. Results In 12 eyes undergone RON successfully, the visual acuity after the surgery improved more or less in 9 (75%), and more than or up to 0.1 in 6. The results of the examinations showed that the retinal edema and hemorrhage disappeared gradually, varicosity mitigated, retinal serous detachment mitigated or disappeared, and macular cystoid edema faded; macular fovea recovered in 3 eyes, optic nerve had a hemorrhage during the operation in 3 eyes, and the dissected part of optic nerve became atrophic afterward in 4. Conclusions RON performed at the edge of the nasal side of the optic disc is safe and effective, which may improve the visual acuity of the eyes with CRVO and mitigate retinal hemorrhage and edema.

Objective To investigate retina structure and function under the condition of acute continuous hypoxia at high altitude and study on the protective effects of taurine on retina injury.
