Carcinoma of the fallopian tube accounts for less than 1% of all cancers of the female genital tract. The histology and behavior of fallopian tube cancer are simillar to ovarian cancer; thus evaluation and treatment are also essentially the same. Unlike ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer begins in a hollow viscus, and early lesions may be less likely to be associated with extensive intraperitoneal carcinoma. Two postmenopausal women presented with a pelvic mass. Pathologic examination of the resected specimens revealed primary adenocarcinoma of the fallopian tube. We have experienced two cases of fallopian tube cancer and reported with brief review of literature

Primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube is an extremely rare and accounts for approximately 0.34-1.8% of all gynecologic malignancies. Preoperative diagnosis was difficult due to nonspecific symptoms and signs. This case of primary fallopian tube adenocarcinoma was confirmed postoperatively on the basis of the pathologic examination. The histology and behavior of fallopian tube cancer are simillar to ovarian cancer, so evaluation and treatment are similar to that of the ovarian cancer. We have experienced a case of primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube and so report with brief review of the literature.

3.Double Trouble: A case of synchronous high-grade serous carcinoma of the fallopian tube and borderline mucinous tumor of the ovary

Philippine Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2022;46(5):218-223
A 55‑year‑old, Gravida 2 Para 2 (2002), presented with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. Workups pointed toward ovarian malignancy with distant metastasis (pleural effusion). Exploratory laparotomy, bilateral salpingo‑oophorectomy, surgical staging, and appendectomy were performed. On histopathological examination, synchronous high‑grade serous carcinoma of the right fallopian tube and borderline mucinous tumor of the left ovary were diagnosed. Primary fallopian tube carcinomas are very uncommon, while synchronous tumors of the female genital tract are extremely rare. Furthermore, there is a paucity of literature discussing the occurrence of synchronous primary malignancies arising from the fallopian tube and the ovary. It is crucial to differentiate primary malignancies from metastatic cancers to determine accurate staging and prognosis, as well as to assign appropriate treatment strategies. Immunohistochemistry and molecular testing play vital roles as adjunctive diagnostic tools to histologic examination in determining the origins of these tumors and distinguishing primary tumors from metastasis.

Carcinoma of the fallopian tube account for less than 1% of all cancers of the female genital tract. Central nerve system involvement by tubal cancer is considered an uncommon event. Attention should be paid to the possibility of distant metastasis associated the tubal carcinoma in order to treat these patients promptly. We have experienced one case of fallopian tube cancer with cerebellar metastasis and reported with brief review of literature.

Primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube is the rarest cancer of the female genital tract with an incidence of 1% all gynecologic tumors Moreover, adenocarcinoma in situ of fallopian tube accounts for approximately 1% of primary fallopian tube cancer. Ovarian cancer and primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube are similar in many aspects. Both carcinomas show an increase incidence among nulliparous women, are often of serous papillay histology, and they have not only a poor pronosis with stage and residual tumor size as important prognostic factors, but also respond to paclitaxel-based treatment. Nevertheless, presenting symptoms are variable and nonspecific, so pre-operative diagnosis of fallopian tube carcinoma is seldom made. We have experiened a case of primary adenocarcinoma in situ of fallopian tube and reported with brief review of literature.

6.A Case of Primary Malignant Mixed M llerian Tumor of the Fallopian Tube.
Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2003;46(11):2303-2307
Malignant mixed m llerian tumor (MMMT) of the fallopian tube is extremely rare with poor prognosis. Primary fallopian tube cancer accounts for approximately 0.3% of all female genital tract malignancies. MMMT of the fallopian tube is extremely rare, accounting for 2.4-5.2% of tubal malignancies. Its clinical behavior resemble that of primary ovarian cancer, so preoperative diagnosis of fallopain tube carcinoma is seldom made. The diagnosis is usually obtained postoperatively. Recently we have experienced a case of MMMT of the fallopian tube, so we report this case with a brief review of literature.

Korean Journal of Gynecologic Oncology and Colposcopy 1996;7(3):236-242
Primary carcinoma of the uterine tube is one of the least common gynecologic malignancies with a reported incidence of approximately 0.3%. As a result of it, the experience of any one physian is limited. Almost all cases are adenocarcinoma and the cilinical presentation is generally nonspecific, of which the most common symptom is postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. Primary fallopian tube carcinima is infrequently diagnosed before explolatory laparotomy and the majority of patients have extensive disease at diagnosis. We have experienced a case of fallopian tube cancer and report with brief review of literature

Leiomyoma of the fallopian tube is rare and very rarely found in the ampullary portion. A case of this exceedingly rare occurrence is herein reported. A 76-year-old woman presented with palpable abdominal mass. A huge mucinous cystadenoma of right ovary was noted at laparotomy and a small leiomyoma of ampulla of left fallopian tube was found, incidentally. The literature is briefly reviewed.

Journal of the Korean Surgical Society 1997;52(2):308-314
The adenocarcinoma of appendix and fallopian tube are both very rare. The incidence rate for fallopian tube is less than 1% of all genital malignancies. Fallopian tubes have been very rarely associated with synchronous tumorigenesis, and to the authors knowledge, the combination of mucinous adenocarcinoma of appendix has never been previously reported. The authors experienced a extremely rare case of synchronous adenocarcinoma of appendix and fallopian tube in 56 years old female patient who has suffered for 10days from RLQ abdominal pain. Pathologic examination of the resected specimen revealed a synchronous mucinous type adenocarcinoma of vermiform appendix and fallopian tube.

Malignant neoplasm of the fallopian tube is the rarest of the gynecologic cancers. Vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, and pelvic pain are the most common symptoms. Because of these non-specific symptoms, the diagnosis of this least common neoplasm is rarely made before laparotomy. The tumor is typically unilateral and has histologic subtypes, endometrioid and serous adenocarcinoma being the most common subtypes. Surgery, clearly the mainstay of treatment, is also the first approach to diagnosis. The procedure of choice is total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopho-rectomy. We had experienced one patient with primary tubal cancer, successfully evaluated with laparoscopy. And then we intend to report the case of the above patient and have a brief discussion about that.
