By reviewing the evolution of syndrome differentiation of eight-principle, it is analyzed that a methodology of logical thinking in syndrome differentiation is the main action of eight-principle in the Science of Syndrome Differentiation. This methodology can standardize and guide other ways of syndrome differentiations. So the eight-principle is of the first position in the Science of Syndrome Differentiation and is a general program for all kinds of syndrome differentiation methodologies.

To define the diagnostic thought on TCM syndrome in animal model of modern medicine disease.To diagnose "apparent syndrome" outside and "hidden syndrome" inside of TCM syndrome differentiation existed possibly in the model animal by multi-aspectual indexes such as observing the appearance of modeled animal,examining the laboratory indexes and morphology,disproving by prescription and medicine etc.It is an effective method of diagnosing TCM syndrome in animal model of modern medicine disease that using multi-aspect and multi-index diagnostic standard.

To explore the change in gene expressions of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38MAPK) and its upstream signal-regulated molecule (mkk3 and mkk6) in normal skin versus hypertrophic scars underlying its potentially biological significance. Total RNAs were isolated from 8 specimens of hypertrophic scars and 8 specimens of normal skin, then they were purified to mRNAs, and the gene expression of mkk3, mkk6 and p38MAPK was examined with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The results showed that the intensities of gene expression of mkk6 and p38MAPK were weak in normal skins, while the expression of these 2 genes was significantly elevated in hypertrophic scars compared with normal skins (P0.05). In hypertrophic scar, the elevation of mkk6 and p38MAPK gene expression, which plays pilot roles in cell proliferation, may be one of the mechanisms controlling the formation of hypertrophic scars.

To investigate the effect of FGF-10 on the secretion of GM-CSF by adult keratinocytes in vitro and to understand the mechanisms involved in the stimulation of granulation tissue formation by FGF-10 during wound healing. Concentrations of FGF-10 used were 4, 16, 125 and 500 ng/ml. Cells were seeded in the amount of 2 500 cells/cm 2 or 5 000 cells/cm 2 in dishes in serum-free medium, and supernatants were collected at 24, 48 and 72 hours after culture. The amounts of GM-CSF in cell culture supernatants were determined using GM-CSF ELISA kits, and cell numbers were counted by haemocytometer. For cells seeded in low density (2 500 cells/cm 2), GM-CSF was not detected at 24 hours. At 48 hours, both in absolute concentrations and on a per-cell basis, the amounts of GM-CSF secreted in cultures with 125 and 500ng/ml FGF-10 were significantly higher than that in negative control (P0.05). At 48 hours, the keratinocytes in the middle area were confluent, and a number of cornified cells were observed, while the productions of GM-CSF in FGF-10 cultures were not higher than that in negative control. OBJECTIVE: Study on the correlation between chronic sinusitis with nasal septum deviation. METHOD: Randomly selected 722 patients with coronal sinuses CT, statistics the number of cases of nasal septum deviation, cases of nasal septum deviation with chronic sinusitis, the wide and narrow side cases of nasal septum deviation complicated with sinusitis. The number of sinusitis without deviation, and paired test. RESULT: The incidence of sinusitis between deviation of nasal septum and non deviation were 54. 13% and 44. 66%, the difference between two groups was statistically significant (P<. 05), the incidence of sinusitis with nasal septum deviation of wide and narrow side were 31. 65% and 32. 12%, no significant difference between the two groups (P>0. 01). The incidence of sinusitis high deviation and non high deviation were 59. 54% and 46. 97%, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The number of wide side of upper nasal septum deviation with sinusitis was 54, the narrow side was 66, there is no significant difference between the two groups (P>0. 05). CONCLUSION The deviation of nasal septum is associated with the formation of chronic sinusitis, the high deviation is more prone to sinusitis, The incidence of sinusitis and nasal septum deviation on both sides was no different.

Objective To study the influence of postural intervention on ambulation of patients after video-assisted thoracoscope surgery? Methods One hundred and forty eight patients having undergone chest cardiac surgery were randomly divided into the control group(n = 75)and the observation group(n = 74)? The former received routine nursing intervention and the latter postural intervention besides routine nursing? The two groups were compared in terms of the time for ambulation and the ability in ambulation? Result The ambulation in the observation group was earlier than the control group and the ability in ambulation was better compared to the control group(both P < 0?05)? Conclusion The postural intervention after thoracic surgery is effective in pushing patient’s ambulation and improve their ability?

Objective To evaluate the influence of ankle pump motor on deep vein thrombosis after surgical operation.Methods 138 cases of patients after surgical operation who were assessed as high risk patients,were randomized into the study group (70 cases)and the control group (68 cases),routine nursing was adopted in the control group,while in the study group,ankle pump motor was adopted in addition.The incidence of deep vein thrombosis was compared between two groups.Results No deep vein thrombosis was found in the study group,while 1 case of thrombosis was detected in the control group,but there was no statistic difference.Conclusions Ankle pump motor was easy and convenient,and can prevent deep vein thrombosis by promoting the reflux of the lower limbs,improving the recovery of patients after operation,and increasing nursing quality as well.

AIM: To compare the difference in serum prolactin levels and the concentrations of anti-infective factors of human colostrums between normal labor and cesarean section. METHODS: The serum prolactin levels were measured at 48 h, 96 h after parturition in 100 cases of normal labor and cesarean using radioimmunoassay. Furthermore, the levels of SIgA, IgG, IgM, C3, C4 were tested in 100 cases at the same time using the technique of immuno-turbidimetry. RESULTS: The serum prolactin levels in normal labor tested at 48 h after parturition were significantly different with that of the cesarean section group. But there was no significant difference in serum prolatin levels 96 h after parturition between the two groups. The levels of SIgA,IgG,IgM,C3 and C4 of the colostrum in the cesarean group were higher significantly than those of the normal group at 48 h after parturition. (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01). At 96 h after parturition, there was no significant difference in SIgA, IgG, IgM and C3 between the two groups except C4. CONCLUSION: At 48 h after paturition, the serum prolactin levels of normal labor group are higher than that of the cesarean section group. The concentrations of anti-infective factors (SIgA, IgG, IgM, C3 and C4) of human colostrums at 48 h after paturition in cesarean section group are higher than those of normal labor group.
