Objective To analyze the epidemic situation and characteristics of spatial autocorrelation and spatiotemporal regular of hand, foot and mouth disease( HFMD) in Yunnan Province during the period from 2014 to 2018,thus to provide theoretical basis for HFMD prevention and control. Methods Descriptive epidemiologic method was used to analyze the epidemic situation of HFMD,spatial autocorrela- tion was used to analyze the spatial cluster aggregation, and discrete Possion model in spatio-temporal in scan was used to detect HFMD's spatio-temporal clustering condition. Results The incidence of HFMD in Yunnan Province had been risen rapidly during the past 5 years. Cases mainly occurred among the group of male,0-4 years old group and scattered children. The predominant pathogen had changed,Other enterovir- us gradually replaced enterovirus 71( EV71) to be the predominant. HFMD cases and pathogen showed sig- nificant spatial clustering aggregation,HFMD cases hot spots mainly concentrated in the central and south- central part of Yunnan Province. The amount of EV71 cases hot spots increased gradually, and the hot spot areas augmented and extended to the central and south-central part of Yunnan Province. There was obvious spatial-temporal aggregation of HFMD,annual scan results detected 3 first-level cluster areas and 1 second -level cluster area. Clustering time was mainly concentrated in April to October of each year. Conclusions Distribution characteristics of HFMD among people in Yunnan Province did not change significantly during the period from 2014 to 2018,while the proportion of pathogenic spectrum changed significantly. The key areas of HFMD control and prevention were still in the central and central-south part of Yunnan Province, while the aggregation and break of HFMD in these areas from April to October should be concerned.

Objective To improve the success rate of crystal embedding of human (animal) pipeline cast specimens for long-term preservation and application of cast specimens better. Methods The selection of embedding mold, specimen fixation, adjustment of the proportion of glue, grinding and polishing were improved, and a crystal embedding model of a fetal lung duct cast specimen was made to explore and optimize the simple and efficient production process of a crystal-embedded human (animal) pipeline casting specimen. Results The crystal model produced after the improvement had great transparency, beautiful shape, no bubbles, and no mold branches broken. The distribution and running of the casted branches of the fetal lung of the crystal model could be observed clearly in the embedded middle fetal lung through any angle and orientation, which was consistent with the cast specimens before embedding, and had a strong sense of three-dimensional space. Conclusion The improved process is better for embedding human (animal) pipeline casting specimens, which is conducive to long-term preservation. It is better for clinical anatomy teaching and exhibition in life science museum.

Objective: To evaluate and compare the short-term efficacy of domestic mechanical-locked (Clip2Edge) and elastic self-locked (ValveClip) transcranial mitral valve edge-to-edge interventional repair (TEER) devices in the treatment of functional mitral regurgitant valves. Methods: In this retrospective non-randomized comparative study, patients underwent TEER procedure in Fuwai Yunnan Cardiovascular Disease Hospital from May 2022 to April 2023 for heart failure combined with moderate to severe or severe functional mitral valve were divided into Clip2Edge and ValveClip groups based on the TEER system used. Baseline, perioperative, and postoperative 30 d follow-up data were collected and compared between the two groups. The primary outcome was the success rate on the 30 d post operation, while secondary outcomes included immediate postoperative technical success rate and the incidence of all-cause mortality on the 30 d post operation, readmission rate of acute heart failure, cerebral infarction, severe bleeding, and other serious adverse events rates. Results: A total of 60 patients were enrolled, 34 patients were in the Clip2Edge group and 26 in the ValveClip group, mean age was (63.8±9.3) years, and 24 patients (40%) were female. There were no significant differences in baseline data of age, cardiac function, comorbidities, mitral regurgitation 4+(19(73%) vs. 29(85%)), the end-diastolic volume of left ventricle ((220.8±91.2) ml vs. (210.8±71.7) ml) between the two groups (all P>0.05). The technical success rate immediately after the procedure was 100%. There were no readmission of acute heart failure, death, cerebral infarction, severe bleeding, and other serious adverse events up to the 30 d follow-up. Device success rate was similar between the ValveClip group (24 cases (100%)) and the Clip2Edge group (27 cases (96%)) (P>0.05). Conclusion: Both types of novel domestic TEER devices are safe and feasible in treating patients with functional mitral regurgitation.
