1.Contracted services of general practitioner improve management of primary hypertension in community
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;12(10):844-846
Two hundred and forty patients with primary hypertension in Weifang Community were randomly sampled as contract group and another 240 hypertensive patients were sampled as control group.Patients in contract group signed service contract with general practitioners (GPs),who provided individualized service for hypertension management.Patients in control group receive conventional outpatient service for hypertension management. The clinical data of patients before and one year after contracted services were documented and compared with those in control group. The results showed that in contract group the average systolic pressure decreased from 134.60 mm Hg (1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa) to 130.62 mm Hg (P =0.000),reaching-the-target-BP rate increased from 56.3% to 85.5% (P =0.000),serum total cholesterol and triglyceride decreased significantly one year after receiving contracted services (P =0.000) ; while these indicators were not significantly changed in control group (all P > 0.05).The results indicate that the contracted services of GPs can improve the effectiveness of hypertension management in community.
2.Essence of professor SHI Xin-de's experience in application of persicae ramulus-associated prescriptions.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(13):2569-2572
Persicae Ramulus decoction, as the first prescription in Treatise on febrile Diseases, has been recommended by physicians of successive generations. It is also the general prescription for harmonizing yingfen and weifen, yin and yang, qi and blood. Although it only consists of five herbal medicines, it has a wider range of application and more categorized formulas than other prescriptions. Though Persicae Ramulus decoction was originally formulated to treat taiyang apoplexy, it has functions beyond the treatment of exopathic diseases. This formula is also effective in treating internal diseases, surgical diseases, gynecologic diseases, paediatric diseases, etc. KE Yun-bo praised it as the No. 1 formula among ZHANG Zhong-jin's formulas as well as the general prescription for harmonizing Yin and Yang, yingfen and weifen, resolving fleshy exterior and inducing perspiration. Professor SHI Xin-de has been expert at treating intractable diseases by using Persicae Ramulus-associated prescriptions, such as Xiaojianzhong decoction and Baohe pill for children's chronic eczema, Persicae Ramulus and Puerariae Lobatae Radix decoction and Yupingfeng powder for chronic nephritis, and Persicae Ramulus and Longgu Muli decoction for insomnia. Instead of being restricted to Chinese or Western disease names, he prescribed appropriate formulas according to syndromes, thereby achieving a good efficacy.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(27):5349-5352
Many studies have shown that experimental umbilical cord blood stem calls are even more primitive, more self-renewal, differentiation and reproductive potential of ex vivo expansion than bone marrow stem cells and peripheral blood stem calls. The preservation of cord blood stem cells and umbilical cord blood transplantation, and other clinical applications have made significant progress, but blood is also facing many problems. This article reviewed a variety of cord blood stem/progenitor calls of the biological characteristics of liver calls proliferation, differentiation, and the building of umbilical cord blood bank of neurology in clinical application.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2016;34(2):116-120
Background As the main cellular constituent of corneal epithelium, corneal epithelial cells play critical roles in regulating and controlling the migration, proliferation and differentiation of cells during the repair of damage.MicroRNA (miRNA) is endogenously expressed small non-coding RNAs, which participates in a variety of biological processes.Previous studies demonstrated that miR-204 is highly expressed in normal corneal epithelium, but its function is still unclear. Objective This study was to investigate the function and mechanism of miR-204 in corneal epithelial cell proliferation. Methods Corneal epithelial tissue was collected during the corneal refractive surgery from the patients with refractive error under the informed consent, and human corneal epithelial cells(HCECs) were cultured and passaged. The relative expressing levels of miR-204 mRNA in the normal corneal epithelium and HCECs were detected by real time quantitative PCR.Cultured HCECs were evenly divided into three groups. The liposome with miR-204 mimic was transfected into the cells of the miR-204 mimic group, and blank liposome was transfected in the cells of the positive control group, and regularly cultured cells served as the normal control group.Cell proliferation capability was evaluated by colony-forming assay, and the percentage of the cells in different cell cycles was analyzed by flow cytometry.Western blot assay was employed to detect the expression levels of p-RB, E2F1 ,p27,CyclinA, CDC2, p-CDC2 and CDK2 proteins in the cells. Results The relative expression levels of miR-204 mRNA were 1.077 ±0.268 in the normal corneal epithelium and 0.041 ±0.018 in the HCECs, showing a significant difference between them (t =7.700,P<0.001).The cloning cell number was evidently decreased in the miR-204 mimic group in comparison with the positive control group and normal control group. The percentage of cells in the G1 phase was 47.75% in the miR-204 mimic group, which was significantly higher than 37.23% in the positive control group and 40.72% in the normal control group. The expression levels of E2F1 and p27 proteins in the cells were elevated (t=14.87,25.11;both at P<0.01) and those of CDK2 and p-CDC2 proteins were decreased (t=5.39,10.65;both at P<0.01) in the miR-204 mimic group in comparison with the positive control group. Conclusions The overexpression of miR-204 in the normal corneas probably is associated with non-proliferation status of corneal epithelial cells.Transfection of miR-204 into corneal epithelial cells can inhibit the proliferation of corneal epithelial cells probably by up-regulating the expression of E2F1 and p27 and suppressing the expression of CDK2/CyclinA and p-CDC2/CyclinA,which lead to cell arrest in G1 phase.
7.Application of the cervical back muscle trainer in the cervical back muscle exercise
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(5):445-446
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of a cervical back muscle trainer. MethodsA cervical back muscle trainer designed by ourself was used in 128 patients with different kinds of cervical spondylosis. The situation of pain and activity of daily life of the patients before and 1 month after treatment were recorded and compared. ResultsThe neck pain of all of the patients nearly completely disappeared in a month and their activity of daily life improved significantly(P<0.01). ConclusionThe cervical back muscle trainer can improve the stability of cervical vertebrae through increasing the strength of the cervical back muscle, which can be used as an assistant rehabilitation approach of all kinds of cervical spondylosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of remifentanil on lipopolysaccharide ( LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in rabbits. Methods Thirty healthy male New Zealand white rabbits weighing 2.5-3.5 kg were randomly divided into 5 groups ( n = 6 each) : group Ⅰ control (group C) ;group Ⅱ ALI;group Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ low, median and high dose RF + LPS (group LR, MR, HR) . The animals were anesthetized with intravenous 3% pentobarbital sodium 30 mg/kg, tracheostomized and mechanically ventilated. The carotid artery and jugular vein were cannulated for MAP and HR monitoring, blood sampling, and fluid and drug administration. LPS 0.5 mg/kg in 10 ml of normal saline (NS) was infused over 30 min in group Ⅱ-Ⅴ. Remifentanil 0.2, 0.4 or 0.8 μg·kg~(-1)·min~(-1) was infused starting from 15 min before LPS administration until the death of the animals. MAP, HR, peak airway pressure (P_(peak) ), PaO_2 and plasma intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) concentration were measured immediately before LPS infusion (T_0, baseline) and at 1, 2.5 and 5.5 h after the end of LPS infusion. The animals were killed and the lungs were immediately removed for microscopic examination and determination of W/D lung weight ratio. Results MAP, HR and PaO_2 were significantly decreased while W/D ratio and P_(peak) were significantly increased after iv LPS infusion as compared with control group. LPS significantly increased plasma ICAM-1 concentration and damaged the structure of lung tissue. Remifentanil infusion significantly attenuated the LPS-induced changes in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion RF has protective effect against LPS-induced ALI and inhibition of ICAM-1 expression is involved in the mechanism.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2009;11(7):901-903
Objective To investigate the relationship among Survivin, PTEN and the occurrence, development, soakage and prog-nesis of gastric cancer. Methods The in-situ hybrization technique, immunochemistry and TUNEL method were used to detect the expres-sion of survivin mRNA, PTEN protein and apoptotic cell. Results The positive rate of survivin expression in gastric cancer was obvious higher than that in para-cancer tissue(P <0.01). Moreover, survivin expression rate in advanced clinical stage and low differentiation gastric cancer degree.was higher, compared with para-cancer tissue (P <0.01, P <0.05). The positive rate of PTEN expression in gas-tric cancer was obvious lower than that in pars-cancer tissue (P <0.01). The positive rate of PTEN expression in advanced clinical stage and low differentiation degree of tissue in gastric cancer was lower (P < 0.01). Furthermore, survivin and apoptesis indexes manifested negative relationship in gastric cancer(r =-0.861, P < 0.01), While PTEN and apoptosis indexes manifested positive relationship (r = 0.832, P < 0.01). Conclusions Survivin could be used as a novel marker to detect gastric cancer. PTEN gene lost function, which maybe promote the origin, growth, soakage and metastasis of gastric cancer.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2009;21(12):826-829
Objective To investigate the function of TRAIUCaspase-3 and NF-κB among the occurrence, development and malignant invasion of bile duct carcinoma. Methods The in-situ hybrization technique and immunochemistry method were adopted to detect expression of TRAIL, Caspase-3 and NF-κB. Results The positive rates of TRAIL expression in carcinoma of bile duct and paracancer tissue were 45.2 % (19/42) and 53.3 %(8/15), respectively. The differences were not significant (P >0.05), and there were no evident difference between expression of TRAIL and every clinic pathology factor(P >0.05). The positive rates of Caspase-3 expression in carcinoma of bile duct were 30.9 %(13/42), which were obviously lower than those in paracancer tissue, 60.0 %(9/15)(P<0.05). However, The positive rates of NF-κB expression in carcinoma of bile duct were 61.9 %(26/42), obviously higher than those in paracancer tissue, 26.7 %(4/15)(P <0.05). The positive rates of Caspase-3, NF-κB expression were relation to metastasis and proliferation, differentiation degree of tissue and survival time (P <0.05), but were independent of sex, ages and position of carcinoma(P > 0.05). Moreover, TRAIL and Caspase-3 manifested positive relationship (P <0.05). On the contrary , NF-κB and Caspase-3 manifested negative relationship (P <0.05). However, there was no relationship between TRAIL and NF-κB(P >0.05). Conclusion Expression of TRAIL has no selectivity of tumour, Its expression is higher or lower which couldn' t absolutely decide tumour' s metastasis and proliferation, and could not decide malignant degree and prognosis of tumour, too. Activation of NF-κB and losing action or absence of Caspase-3 possibly accelerate metastasis and proliferation of tumour, which result in bad prognosis. NF-κB interdicte TRAIL inducing apoptosis approach via control activation of NF-κB, which induce tissue to avoiding apoptosis and multiplication unboundedly, leading to tumour's occurrence, development, metastasis and diffuseness.
